Evangeline's POV

*Cough cough*

Blood was seen on my hand as I coughed

"I really though I was cured of it."

I went to see a doctor immediately

At the hospital

"Well miss Gates I have bad news the illness has returned and it's more serious than before." The doctor explained.

"It's developing faster than it should, if this keeps up then_"

"How much time?" I interrupted.

"Maybe 6months if we continue treatment maybe longer, a year perhaps?" He explained.

"I see so it's that bad." I said quietly.

"I know its so sudden but it's best if you don't think about it and live your days to the fullest" he said

"Your so young after all such a shame for this to happen to a beautiful young woman" he said

"My parents died of this illness and so will I it's all ends with me" I said

"Here these should help stop the blood from coughing up,it should help slow down the cells from multiplying" he said giving me some a pill bottle

"Thank you" I said quietly

"Come back next week to receive treatment" he said

I waved goodbye and went to my job at the office in town

At the office

"Hello Evangeline are you alright you look upset" James said

"I'm fine just stressed" I mumbled

"Well anyway do you want to get a coffee since you refused me yesterday" he said nervously

"Fine I could use a coffee" I said

At the café

"Here you go two coffees" the waitress said

"So how's your sister?" I asked

"She's doing much more better now" James said

"That's good to hear" I said

"Anyway you know our boss works you really hard but that's his own nature he doesn't do it because he doesn't like you" James said

"I know but still" I said

I looked outside the café window and saw

"William!!" I blurred out

"Who's William?" James asked looking around

"I'm sorry I'll see you later thanks for the coffee bye!" I said in a rush

"Hey Evangeline!"

I left the shop going to an alley where William was

"William what are you doing here?!" I asked

"Shhh" he shushed

"I'm hiding from my partner" he said

"Your partner?"

"Yes, he's annoying so I'm hiding here until he searches elsewhere" he said annoyed and irritated

"Oh William where are you~" a voice asked

William hid further inside the alley

The person came over to me

"You woman have you seen a man wearing a suit and glasses?"

A man wait is it a man or woman? with red hair an glasses said

"Oh! I did see a man like that he was at the London bridge"

"Really you saw my William?! My name is grell by the way" He asked

"Evangeline" I said

"Well be very good friends! what's your favorite color?"

"Red" I said

"Really mine too" he said

"You should hurry if you want to find him" I said

"He doesn't seem to be here I'll search elsewhere" the man with long red hair said

He leapt from roof to roof until he was out of sight

"He's gone now" I said

"Thank you for not saying anything" William said relieved

"Well you can repay me by paying for lunch" I said

He looked at me like 'seriously'

"C'mon lets go William" I said dragging him to a restaurant

At the restaurant

They took our orders I decided to ask him a few questions about the reaper world because I was curious

"I wanted to ask you this question what happens to the people that die?" I asked

"Well their souls are stored in books saved for doomsday" he said

"Doomsday?"

"Yes exactly the day when everyone will be judged" he said

"I need to ask you a question can reapers fall in love?" I asked

"Possibly not with a human of course but our job requires us to not reveal any emotion" he said

"Why not with a human?" I asked a bit offended

"Well it's against the rules to all in love with a human" he said

"Why?"

"I don't know I just know that it's forbidden" he said

"You know humans aren't as different as reapers" I said

"How so?"

"Our physical bodies are the same" I said

"True"

"And we are intelligent and we don't wear glasses unless we need to" I said

"Humans are weak" he said

"That's what most people think but we have a power stronger than physical strength" I said

"And what is that?"

"We have bravery"

"Bravery?"

I nodded

"Interesting"

"Since you a reaper what is the most beautiful death in the world?" I asked

"The most beautiful death in the world?" He asked surprised

I nodded

"Well I suppose it's a sleeping death why do you want to know?" He asked

"Because in case I die I can die being beautiful" I said

He sighed

"What's wrong?" I asked

"It's nothing" He said

After lunch I got some leftover bread from the restaurant

It started to rain

William took his coat off an gave it to me

"Oh no! you'll get wet and catch a cold" I said worriedly

"It's fine it's difficult for reapers to get sick" he stated

"Really?"

He nodded

We passed the road to my apartment their was a little girl staring she eyed the bread I had

"One moment wait here William" I said

I went to the little girl

"Here you go" I said giving her the bread

She hesitated

"You can have it I don't need it as much as you" I stated

She took the bread

"Bless you miss!" She said an left

I went back to William

"Now we can go" I said

He remained quiet for the rest of the way

Arriving at my apartment

"Goodnight William" I said

He took my hand

"Evangeline I have a question" he said

"Why are kind to everybody and to those who don't deserve it?" I asked

I smiled as I touched my flowers

"You see people weren't very kind to me when I was child they often pushed me away when I needed them most, so that's why I want to be kind to those who never experienced kindness" I said

"I see good night then" he said

"Goodnight William"I said

William's POV

I have to get Back to the reaper realm and check those cinematic records

"Anyway she looks so happy and cheerful all the time" I thought

I smiled "very well lets see who you are Evangeline Gates?"
