As per usual, like my other books, this is the part where I tell you the changes I've made while writing. Truth be told, basically the whole book was rewritten, except the end. Delyth was always supposed to die. 

Tiarnan was never supposed to die but I needed a lead up to Delyth's death so because I'm unoriginal and cliche, I said, why not kill the love interest. I will miss him dearly though. 

Zodak never existed in the first draft but somehow he inserted himself or more like, reminded me that he existed. You know how these characters can be.

Fairies never existed but I guess now they do. Each nation had to be special in their own way. So I added the existence of fairies to add to Swuybia's existence which led to it having a much deeper backstory than I intended. All will be revealed soon.

Jothan was supposed to be loyal to the fault. And I mean, he would never betray Silas EVER, however he didn't seem like the type to take shit like that especially after Silas killed his wife, who also didn't exist in either the first or second draft but popped up in the third.

Initially, there were never supposed to be any survivors but after the final edit, I realized that there was no way Delyth had no friends, like, at all. So I gave her one.

That's not all but the list is too long to highlight how many things were removed or added because like I said earlier, the whole book was basically altered. If you saw the dates at the end of every chapter, those are the dates I wrote them. Yes, it was written last year and I'm only publishing it this year but that's because I was sending out queries to get it traditionally published but after maybe 80+ rejections, I decided to post it here and enter it the Wattys2023 competition.
