CrestFallenStar of Drakkon

Hello everyone!

Today we have @CrestFallenStar the writer of Drakkon with us.

Warm regards  Vongola. Welcome to an official interview from @TheCRYPTIC_ . It's our honor to interact with an inspiring writer like you. We hope that you'll have a great time.

First of all, tell us how you stumbled upon Wattpad and when.

I stumbled upon wattpad when I was probably 15? I was writing on a different site at the time and I didn't really like it so I looked into wattpad. I tried it out for a bit and wasn't popular at all so I deleted my account, but then a year or so later made another account, which is the account I'm on right now.

Wow! So what do you think about THE CRYPTIC's theme? What are your views regarding dark fiction?

Dark fiction is interesting because it delves into the realities of the world we live in. It's not always rainbows and sunshines in life and it's unrealistic to think that life is ONLY like that. We tend to forget the darker parts of society and this world that we live in, and I think it's important to touch on those topics.

What do you like to read? Do you have a favourite genre or any specific likes?

My favorite genres to read are fantasy/historical/romance, all put together! I read a lot of things, but I mainly enjoy from one of those three genres. I'm not into horror, or science fiction, or dystopian/utopian stories. I'll read what I can, but generally, I like to stick to romance/historical/fantasy.

What compels you to pick up a pen and scribble down your thoughts? Do you have any inspiration or motivation?

Honestly, anything can inspire me and motivate me. I can see a piece of paper with a crudely drawn picture and suddenly come up with an idea. I can listen to a song and want to write something with a similar vibe. There isn't like one set thing that inspires me to write. The biggest inspiration, however, out of all the others, is history! I get so inspired when I read historical works or learn about certain historical events, which make me want to write something that stems from it.

Being a writer, what's the easiest part of writing and which aspect do you consider the most challenging?

I'm a very fickle person, my interests change just as quickly as the wind does. SO, my inspiration to write comes and goes, which is a double edged blade. I can write for hours and hours when I'm inspired, which is easy for me to do, but then when I lose that inspiration, I can go months without even touching my laptop, which is EXTREMELY challenging. So, I guess the easiest and hardest thing is dealing with myself.

What kind of environment do you prefer to write in?

I prefer somewhere quiet and somewhere with no people. I can write in many places, but I can't think properly unless I'm alone and it's silent. I don't even like listening to music when I write because it distracts me.

What's your first piece of writing, if you can remember? What thoughts does it bring to you when you look back at it?

My first piece of writing was when I was a little girl and it was about a princes who dropped paint on her dress. It was the dumbest thing, haha.

Tell us about your growth as an author.

I'm still growing as a writer and I'm definitely not where I want to be yet in terms of my writing, so I have a lot to improve on.

Do you have a favorite author or book?

I don't have a favorite book or author. Honestly, I've been so busy with school and writing, that I haven't had time to read anything.

Besides writing, do you have any hidden talents?

Hmmm. Not really. I don't think I have any hidden talents. There are things that I'm generally good at, but not at a Mastery level or something that's different than the norm.

You're sitting in front of a brand new aspiring writer, what do you say?

Um. Keep writing. Don't give up. Read a lot of books, write a lot, and keep at it.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Don't be afraid to tell us something funny, we won't tell.

Hmmm. I like doing makeup, I like shopping, I like discussing political and social things concerning society, I like learning about different cultures, I like learning different languages, etc. I'm a bit of a boring and serious person in 'real life.' LOL.

Now, the most awaited question of every young reader, do you have any childish habits? Do you like cartoons or chocolates?

Chocolate is not childish at all! Haha. Actually, no, I have zero childish traits. I honestly am too mature for my age. Ever since I was a kid, I've always been too mature for my age, so I never found any fun in people acting like children. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but that's just how I am. Some people say that's boring, but I don't really care. I do watch anime and read manga, however, but I don't really consider it childish. If you've seen Kingdom, HunterxHunter, Berserk, etc. you'll know there literally NOTHING childish about it!! Haha.

Do you prefer sweet or salty?

SWEET. I definitely have a sweet tooth.

It was nice talking to you. Thanks for your precious time. We really appreciate it and hope you'll prosper leaps and bounds.
