The cover is nice, nothing too fancy or in-your-face but it fills me with dread and that makes it memorable.

Chapter 1:

Right from the very first line, you are hooked. Do you seek salvation? You won't find it here. You at the mercy of the author and her story. There is a feeling of fright, of helplessness right away. The descriptions are amazing and gory, you want to look away...hah, good luck, you can't!

The author propels you into the scene and you become a fly on the wall, you can see, feel, smell, taste what is going on. This is great horror!

There are parts that are unsettling (there is a warning at the beginning) and you may feel your stomach churning from time to time, but it IS horror. The description of the killing is swift, personally, I would have liked a bit more of it, but other than that it was great.

And then comes salvation! I was hoping our MC would be spared. The police come in just in the nick of time and save her from the clutches of the mad (and rather disturbed) man. Death has not come for the MC today and I felt a sense of relief.

The characters are wonderfully created. It is easy to feel compassion for the MC (Olivia) and hatred for the insane murderer. You are left to wonder...why did this man kidnap these women and kill them one by one? What sort of monster will the authorities be dealing with? How will Olivia cope? 

Chapter one intrigued me. If you are a fan of gory stories, then this will make you happy.
