Hi, my name is Shadow. I have that name for a reason, no one can see me. Why can't they see me you might ask? Because they don't want too, the only way to see a shadow creature is if you want too or they let you. I don't want to be seen, you could say I'm shy, well I am but that's not the only reason. I have a journal, a diary if you would like to call it, I study humans and write what I find, no I'm not a creepy stalker. If you couldn't already tell, I'm not exactly normal, I'm a Shadow Creature, I'm not a thing or a monster I'm a person just like you, but others don't see it that way. My favorite part about what I am are the books, you see I can go to the library at any time and read any book, of course just reading them would be boring so what I can do is enter them, the bad part is I change them, or rewrite them. I love entering books, but with this power I have made rules so I don't get into too much trouble.

Rule 1#: Don't get too attached to characters.

Rule 2#: Don't bring characters to the real world.

Rule 3#: Don't enter horror books, everyone dies and no one can save them.

Rule 4#: Never break the fourth wall.

Rule5#: Never and I mean NEVER, save someone that dies in a book.

These rules are important, without them, bad things would happen.

I finish up the page in my journal and close it, I use my powers to make it disappear so I can make it reappear when I need it, I'm sitting in a coffee shop watching people rush about outside completely oblivious to my existence. I sigh slowly and stand up, a little kid waiting in line with their Mother waves at me, I smile and wave before leaving. I allow little kids to see me because they won't tell any adults about me. I stick my hands in the pockets of my jacket and watch the sun slowly set in the distance. I think I might teleport home tonight. I walk into an alleyway and find the closest shadow I can find and teleport home.

My home is a small cave outside of the city, a chest, bed, small pond in the front, and a single torch. You'd think being invisible would be awesome, you would probably imagine being rich with a mansion, servents, and tons of friends. Not everything is the way you imagine it. Walking over to the entrance of the cave, a zombie spawns a few feet in front of me, it groans and turns towards the town. "Good night Joey." I tell him. The zombie groans one last time before continuing its journey. I walk over to my bed and lay down, after a few minutes of lying there daydreaming I fall asleep.

The sun's rays fill the cave in the morning, a light mist covers the ground as I wake up to the harsh lights in my eyes. I push the red covers away and get up, putting them back neatly where they were. I stretch a bit before walking out, rubbing my eyes to get the sleepy feeling out of them on the way. It's fall right now so the trees are a mix of bright orange, a deep red, and brilliant yellow, looking up I can see the leaves fall slowly to the ground, the sun rays hitting them as they fall and lighting them up even more. There's a light wind blowing from the North as I walk the dirt trail to the city, looking for apple trees on the way. I spot an apple on a high branch, impossible to reach for any normal human so I use my powers and the apple is soon surrounded by a neon blue aura, the apple slowly and safely floats down and I grab it.

By the time I get to the city I finished my apple, I quickly throw it in a garbage can. I might be invisible but that doesn't give me an excuse to litter the earth. Today I decided to go to the library today so I turn onto East Street and walk till I get to the Library. The Library is huge, giant columns on the front, millions of stairs heading to the bronze looking doors, and a gold pointy top. The building is all made of stone on the outside, but the inside it built with valuable materials like iron, marble, emerald, and my favorite, cobblestone. I walk along the many rows of bookshelves looking for a good book. The wood they used for the shelves are a dark chocolate color, I love the color of the wood, it's brilliant! I stop in my favorite book section, fanfics, I pull out a random book and read the title before opening it. "SetoSolace ship book?" I say to myself. I never heard of this ship before. I use my powers to levitate the book in the air, I picture entering the book in my head and the book starts to glow brighter and brighter till its too bright and I close my eyes. Opening my eyes I find myself not in the library anymore, in my hands is my book, so if someone saw me it would look like I'm holding onto it for dear life. Let's do some exploring.
