Ross's POV

I woke up and felt someone beside me... It was Shelby. She had her head laid on my shoulder and my arm was around her. The other kids were sleeping too. I carefully stood up, trying not to wake up Shelby. I got up and something strange I noticed was levin was far away from the others. I tried to wake him up but saw the pendant in his hand. I tried sharing him but he doesn't wake up. I then woke Shelby up

"Shelby! Shelby! Wake up!" I whisper shouted trying not to wake the other kids

"Five more minutes" she groaned

"It's about Levin... He's not waking up... He touched the pendant" I said and her eyes widened

"What!" She screamed, waking up the kids

"What happened?" Joseph asked

"Yeah" Alexis added

"How did Levin not wake up to that?" Malachi asked

"Keep it down I'm trying to sleep" Kyle groaned

"I think I need to call Jess" Shelby said

"Why?" Alexis asked

"You four need to get out of this place...Ross you need to leave too"

"What why?" Ross, Alexis, Malachi, Kyle and Joseph asked at the same time

"It's not safe... You guys could also touch it"

"Jess something happened..... Could you pick up Ross, Malachi, Kyle, Alexis and Joseph? Something happened to levin..... I'm still figuring out why he did it...... Ok...... Thanks Jess..... Bye" Shelby said to the phone

"So what did Jess say?" I asked Shelby

"She's picking you guys up" she answered

"What about you?" I asked her

"I'll be fine"

"Maybe I should stay just to see if you try to touch the pendant"

"It's fine Ross... I can handle myself"

Alexis and Malachi were checking if levin was ok while Kyle and Joseph were checking if Julia was ok. Me and Shelby were talking about what happened. After a few minutes Jess came

"What happened here?" Jess asked

"Well... Long story short... Levin touched the pendant and you got to take these guys with you or else they might touch the pendant too" Shelby explained

"But... I'm staying with the guys I'm not sure they would have an extra room for the kids to sleep in" Jess explained

"Why don't they stay at my room?" I suggested

"Where are you gonna stay?" Jess asked me

"Well someone's got to make sure that she doesn't try to touch the pendant" I said and Jess nodded

"Ok are you sure Ross?"

"Ye"

"Ok... Alexis, Joseph, Kyle, Malachi let's go"

Jess's POV

I really appreciate how Ross was willing to stay with Shelby. He has my permission to marry Shelby.

The car trip was silent so I decided to ask

"So? What happened?"

"Well we woke up and saw levin still sleeping" Alexis explained

"That's all" Kyle added

"Oh... Ok" was all I could say

"Aphie... Do you think Shelby will be ok?" Alexis asked me

"Of course she will... She has Ross with him" I said and saw Malachi nudge Alexis and whisper something to her, followed by her giggling

After a few more seconds of silence we got to the guys place. Adam opened the gate and asked me

"Where's Ross? I thought you were gonna bring Ross and the kids" Adam asked

"Ross stayed with Shelby" I answered his question

"Oh... Well Jin got the kids room ready"

"Great... Adam could you show them where it is? I gotta finish the portal"

"Sure!"

I went to jin's lab and saw that he was nearly done with the portal.

"Nice work!" I complemented him

"Thanks!" He said

"How many hours do you think we can finish this?" I asked him

"Probably an hour and a half" Jin answered

"So if we can get max levin and Julia to Phoenix drop and I use my powers then we can get them out of their trance"

"Yeah"

"Well let's get working!"

~after fixing the portal~

We were finally finished! It was even bigger and better. It even had cup holders.

"So care to do the honors?" Jin asked bowing

"Let's do this together" I answered

We both grabbed the lever but nothing happened. What? How is it not working? Did we do something wrong? I tried switching it off and on but still no

"Somethings wrong... These are the steps I used to make the other portal... Something must be blocking the signal to the other world" I explained

"Like another portal!!!" Me and Jin said at the same time

Third person POV

Jess and Jin were pacing back and forth

(A-Jess J- Jin)

J- "There must be another portal somewhere... I don't know where but I know there is"

A- "It's probably the reason why the pendant is here"

J- "So we know for a fact that someone from this world making the portal"

A- "And we know for a fact that they brought the Phoenix drop people here in this world"

J- "So that means there's another portal somewhere"

A&J- "And it's stopping our portal from getting to Phoenix drop!"

A- "And I think I know who it is... Follow me"

Jess told the guys that she and Jin were going somewhere. They walked for minutes when Jess walked through a dark alleyway. In there Jin saw a lab. Shocked of what he just saw, Jin followed Jess who stood up on top of a trash bin to reach the window.

In the window were 4 people they didn't want to see. They crouched so the 4 people wouldn't see them. As they looked again they found a girl. She was hidden in the shadows which made it hard to see her, but they were sure that it was 'HER'

"She was still the same with her evil smirk and a brain which is smaller than her ego... And her ego is pretty small" Jess though to herself

Jin was wondering why 'she' was with the four and why they could possibly want Shelby.

Just then 'SHE' began to speak "Shelby is alone today we might be able to separate her and her friends much easier"

"What about that Ross guy? He is staying with Shelby... I bet Alesa and Unica would be an easy target"

"Katelyn and Nicole are with them"

Just then one of the 4 people looked at the window and saw Jess and Jin.

"Hey D! Someone's watching us!"

Jess and Jin quickly got down and ran off hoping that they wouldn't get caught.

Jin looked behind him to see no one there. They hid in a dark alleyway when they bumped into two people...

Jason and Tyler

"Oh.. Hey Jason... Hey Tyler" Jess waved

"You know it's not good to listen to other people's conversations" Jason said

Just then the 4 other people came and cornered us.

We made a big mistake going on our own.
