Buggy raised his hands, but didn't touch her again. He was just exasperated and moved his hands a lot when he talked.

"I'm from Shells Town, a port in the east blue. Do you know how I get from.... Kansas back to...my part of the world? You see I wasn't even IN shells town when I wound up here, I was headed for the grand line, on my ship the Big Top."

"....," she looked so confused, "you sound like you came from another...wait a minute? Now I know who you are! I recognize you from One Piece show! You're Buggy!"

Buggy stepped back in shock, "What do you know about the one piece?! And if you've seen my show in orange town, then of course you'll recognize me and remember my name. So, because you're a fan you'll help me, right?"

"...well, there's a little problem...I didn't see your show...there's a show called One Piece and you're in it...from I am getting...you're not in your world anymore..."

Now Buggy looked even more confused, "okay, let's just forget the fact that I'd never share the spotlight with anyone in some other show...how do I get back to my "world" I never meant to come to this crappy, weird place, not the circus, the world obviously, I was sucked through into the purple light."

"...sounds like magic...I...I know someone that does magic." She took his hand and took him out of the circus tent and led him to a small tent that was a fortune teller's tent.

"Uh, this lady is legit, right? I mean, we have people back home who fake being able to read fortunes and stuff."

"...she's real, I've...dealt with her because I dated her son....," she looked down sadly.

"okay, but I don't have any money to give her or any rum, tobacco or sugar to trade her," Buggy replied, not really paying attention to what she said about dating her son, "I need you to come in with me...," Buggy grabbed her hand, "....and explain to her that I have nothing. You're my witness. People don't usually believe pirates. But you know I'm telling the truth!"

"Well she will think you're one of us. We have clowns at the circus." She blushed when he grabbed her hand. She then led him in, "Miss Gypsy Dove? I have a new friend and possibly a new member of our team, but he likes to ask a question."

The beaded curtains to the back room parted and the middle aged woman stepped out, wearing a long dress, headscarf and large hoop earrings, "Really? A new member of our team? Surely he'd want to get home to his own circus though. His own.... crew."

Buggy ran to her and grabbed her hands, "YES! That's exactly right!! You get it, oh thank the stars, now tell me how do I get back? I promise I'll.....figure out a way of paying you. I'll give you literally ANYTHING, whatever you want lady, just name it and it's yours."

"The only way back is three things, you must become a hero, you must find true love, and the last one you must find on your own. And Ruby, darling you will pay for him."

Ruby shivered when she said that, "w-what? Alright...how much?"

"Not money, dearie. Rudy has been missing you all night last night and wants you back."

"Oh heck no! I am not going back that snot—"

"My dear girl, he is a gentleman."

"...," Ruby sighed seeing there was no way for her to argue. "Alright...I will talk to him...," she looked down.

Buggy stepped outside the small tent, trying to keep calm. Become a hero? Pfft. Find true love? Yeah right.

"I'm totally screwed," he said to himself, "I'm absolutely officially inherently SCREWED!! Aaaaaggghhhhh!!"

Ruby came out to see if he was ok, "um...are you...alright?"

Buggy looked at her with annoyance, "Funnily enough, no! I'm not alright. I'm going to be stuck here forever!" He then forgot himself and grabbed her gently again by the arms, "I have to stay here, for now at least, this is the only environment in this crappy world that feels safe to me. So...if you can give me the best room you have I'd appreciate that."

Ruby shivered by his outbursts since they reminded her of Rudy. She nodded not speaking.

She then took him to her room of one of the cabins of the circus grounds, "um...you can stay in my place until we can work something out. I can just...take the couch..."

"That's really nice of you Rudy, thanks," he looked at the bed, "looks kinda small that bed..." he then looked at her, "....but I guess you're not an overly tall person. You obviously don't have many friends bunk over huh," he chuckled, "definitely no space to roll around in there."

"...Ruby! And...n-no..." she looked down, "I will be getting a new one since...the bed springs are shot."

Suddenly her door of her cabin opened and another clown came in. This must be Rudy because Ruby immediately looked away from him shaking.

"Ruby, I've missed you so much! Come here darling and let me show you just how much I missed—"

"Uh, woah! Hold that thought, Romeo!" Buggy held his hand up to him, "this is my room too now, and I'm not a fan of that kinda thing, so can you take your little romantic reunion elsewhere?!"

Rudy frowned, "....your room?! And who are you?"

Buggy smiled, "Buggy the clown. Buggy, the flashy fool. Buggy, the genius jester...."

"And who hired you?!"

Buggy took an apple out of the fruit bowl and took out one of his large knives and began cutting slices off to eat, "who hired me? Duh! Well the....ringmaster obviously. He begged me to join as he said this place was going to ruin because the clowns are sh*tty."

"...yeah," Ruby replied, "He's good friends with my father."

"But him here! In your quarters? It should be me!" Rudy snapped.

"Please don't shout...," Ruby begged, but he then yanked her by the arm and took her outside. Suddenly outside, Buggy heard her begging him to stop, and beating sounds.

Buggy was many things, but he didn't condone violence towards women. And she seemed such a fragile little thing. He stormed outside and grabbed Rudy by the back of his neck away from her and then punched him, knocking him down.

"Asshat, " he muttered, then he turned to Ruby "you okay? Uh, you've actually got....," he winced seeing her black eye and split lip, "come on, let's get you fixed up," he took her arm and helped her back inside.

Rudy groaned and growled grabbing Buggy and slammed him against the side of the cabin, "Hands off of my girl, b!tch!"
