Heart Breaker
"I- I don't k-know if I c-can do t-this," I stuttered like an idiot. "Of course you can, Bri!" Lilla piped. "You have too," Luke repeated. "And what if I don't?" I ask defiantly. I was getting fed up with this. Lilla grinned. "We will make you." Luke was stone faced and silent, leaned against the wall in the shadows which only made him even more good looking. GAH!! Stop thinking about him boys are the least of your problems!! I scolded myself, in my head. I gritted my teeth,"And how are you plankton doing that?" I hissed. Lilla just grinned even wider. "Shock therapy can be very Persuasive, Bri," she giggled. Luke hopped off the wall and ran off. We looked after him before Lilla knocked me upside the head so hard every thing went black...
(Brook's POV)
"Hasn't Bri said something before about another life?" One of my other best friends, Sadie asked. She is tall and pale with lots of freckles all over. Her shoulder length curly blond hair was up in a ponytail. As always. She was wearing a bright blue tank top with the silhouette of a wolf howling at the moon and black and white sweat pants with blue and white tennis shoes. She was worried about our friend too. "Yea she has," I said. "She said she did bad things. She lived with bad people." "Doesn't Bri keep a diary?" Rory asked. She is another one of Bri's friends. She has pale skin and black hair. We pick on her about it and call her vampire. She was wearing her long hair in a ponytail and a brown T-shirt with a red and black plaid flannel over shirt and black leggings with black wedges. "But we can't just go through her stuff. Can we?" She asked. "We can if it will find her," I replied. I was determined to find her. Just hold on, Bri. We're coming.
(Luke's POV)
"What was that all about?!" My sister, Lilla, yelled at me. "I don't know. It's just-" I began but Lilla cut me off. "You like her. Don't you?" "N-no!" I stuttered much to my surprise. Did I? She is really pretty and cool. Mabey I do. She looked at me. Trying to read me but I have mastered the poker face. No one ever sees any emotions unless i wanted them to. We went down stairs to the big empty room we use for interrogation or in messier situations, torture. As we walked in the large metal room I saw Bri tied to a wooden chair. She was still asleep. She looked so peaceful. Lilla flipped a switch and Bri's body thrashed. I looked away as Lilla grinned. Her soul was as black as her leather jacket. I heard Bri scream. It was blood curdling. "Wow. Friends really mean nothing to you people. Do they?" She asked breathlessly and cold. Her eyes shot daggers and it made me sick. I don't know what it was that made feel like this but I don't think I have ever felt it before. My sister answered Bri's question. "Friends to hunters mean about as much as a new set of bed sheets. They are useful at first but after they have served their purpose, they are thrown away." Bri gave us a disgusted look as Lilla send her another blast. I couldn't watch this. I looked away as Bri let out another blood curdling scream. I didn't even realize it until I felt a tremor run down my cheek that I was crying. I really do care.
