“NO!” Homura shouted as she ran over to her pink haired friend almost making it before she saw Jesse push Madoka and looked at the Sweets Witch that had killed Mami Tomoe was now looming over him with jaws open and agape before he gave a sad smile to Homura as the witch bit down half his body with a loud crunch as she screamed loudly before--

 She woke up with a jolt and breathing hard as her mental human self was moving her bangs from her sweaty forehead while looking around to see a room unlike the boat she was on, she hopped off the bed and noticed her bandages were loose before taking them off with her beak and wandered around to find Jesse as she came across a black cat who was hungry and looking for a meal to satisfy its own hunger when it caught sight of Homura on the ground before darting to catch it.

Homura didn’t know what to do, she can’t fly or do anything as the cat pounced on her and bit her recovering wing as she cawed loudly as she could feel the jaws of the cat crushing her bones and her blood running down her wing as feathers fell before she heard a shy voice shooing the cat away. 

“Go on get!” He said as the cat hissed and ran off before the small boy picked up Homura and ran to the nurses office as Homura blacked out only to hear Jesse’s panicked voice before feeling him hug her and apologizing.

Homura awoke in the same room and her wing bandaged again as she mentally growled at the damned cat that nearly took her wing off as Jesse came in to the room and held her in his arms while planting kisses on her head which made her mental human self blush before they walked around which she got a chance to meet the other students of Duel Academy before realizing how hungry she was.

‘Somehow, I’m craving for a worm or something.’ Homura thought as she cawed before picking at Jesse’s hair like she was looking for a worm, Jesse knew the signs from Homura and he asked if there was a place to eat and one Slifer said that there was the Slifer cafeteria and Jesse thanked the student and went there as a kind woman gave him a plate of rice and fried shrimp as they thanked the woman and Jesse gave a piece of shrimp to Homura who pecked at it.

The two never noticed the same black cat that attacked Homura climbed onto the table and Jesse saw the cat looking at Homura before he stopped eat and the cat pounced for Homura before Jesse blocked it as it clawed and bit his hand until it bled before running to the raven as Homura knew that this is where she’ll die.

Someone ran in and grabbed the cat and threw it outside before slamming the door shut as the cat yowled as it scratched the door but went away.

Homura looked to see that it was Axel as she walked over and nuzzled his hand as a thank you to him for saving her life as he gave a small smile and stroked her head before feeling something was wrong before Jesse thanked him and Axel walked back to his dorm with the feeling from Homura.

‘Something...everything is wrong…’ He thought as he went inside and shut the door behind him and began to train to get rid of the feeling as if the raven...was human…

Jesse and Homura rested at Jaden’s dorm along with Hassleberry who was sorting through his deck as Homura perched on his shoulder before looking at his cards and cawed before Hassleberry smirked and placed her on the opposite side of him before pulling some cards and showing the backs to her. 

“Okay, so, which one of the cards in my hand is the Field Spell Jurassic World?” Hassleberry asked as Homura picked the fourth one and Hassleberry was shocked that she got it right before he tried again and again, everytime, she managed to get it right and Hassleberry was tired as the time passed and he was dueling a raven in the duel arena before he thought he could win, she pulled out her Magic Cylinder and won.

Crowler walked by and noticed what was going on and froze when he saw the raven winning a duel at the duel arena and was still before Homura flew over and poked his eye which caused him to scream in pain and run around before Jesse laughed as they all went back to the red dorm but Homura sensed something was wrong...as if someone was watching them.

Jesse and Jaden seemed to notice it as well as they ran to where Homura heard Syrus crying for help as she flew over to help him but couldn’t because of the string. ‘What do I do? What can I do?’ She thought as she thought about the past memories of Madoka.

‘No...nononononoNONONONOOOOO!!! I want to forget the memories...I WANT TO FORGET THOSE!!’ She mentally shouted as she snapped from her thoughts when she saw that Syrus was hanging over the branch and Jesse nearly lost grip which caused Homura to nearly fall before Hassleberry pulled him up and grabbed Homura as well.

Homura watched as both Axel and Jaden fell to the ground at the same time when Homura saw the bioband lit up before they got them to the nurses office as Homura began to suspect the biobands on their wrists as she and Jesse went outside to test if her wing was better before unraveling the bandages on her wing and his hand to see the wounds gone. 

She held her wings out and began flapping before taking flight as Jesse began laughing in joy as he saw the raven he saved began flying around before perching onto his arm before scratching her chin gently before planting a kiss to her forehead as she cooed and somehow, she felt like the curse was weakening.

“If you were human, I would tell you how much you mean to me. You were one of a kind Homura and…” Jesse began to speak and Homura began to blush before Jesse paused and stopped before hearing the words Homura would hear if she had a lover confessing to her before he continued. 

“I..I love you.” He said as Homura felt the feather that was plunged into her chest fall out as feathers flew everywhere as she transformed back into her human self feeling the grass beneath her feet as she looked to see a black thin strap dress with feathers at the bottom adorned upon her body as black wings folded into her back and the red ribbon in her long black hair as her lavender eyes opened and looked at Jesse as he witnessed the most beautiful thing before snapping out of the daze.

“Wait...are you...Homura?!” He asked as she smiled a bit and nodded at the bluette who was still in awe of what happened in front of him as he looked to the wings on her back and curiously, he placed his hand on them and was amazed of how soft they were before thinking of how they were gonna explain Homura and the wings until the wings became a coat for her.

“I’ll explain everything, but not here.” She said holding his arm as he held her hand in his and walked back to his room carefully without anyone spotting them along the way as they made it into the room and locked the door as she began to tell her sorrowful tale.

 So these creatures called incubators changed you into a raven to get you out of the way because you knew the truth that magical girls will become witches just because they only did this just for data...that’s twisted of them...how could they…?” Jesse said as he took in the new information  and was angry with these incubators and Homura gave a somewhat drawing of it and gave him chills.

“I’m sorry if I caused any trouble.” She apologized before Jesse smiled warmly at her before sitting on the bed next to her. “Hey, it’s alright. By the way, how are we gonna tell them about you?” He asked as Homura thought of an idea...a very, very old idea. 

“Well...I could act like a transfer student…” She said mentally kicking herself in the head as Jesse knew that it was an old school idea from most movies but agreed anyways as Homura pulled out her old school uniform from her shield and got dressed while Jesse was looking away and closed the drapes in case as he looked over to Homura and blushed at her in the uniform and the red ribbon as they got ready for the morning.
