Kill the negativity.
The small voice in my head, is the one I speak to when I'm all alone, when I don't have anyone else to express my views to. I keep it to myself, for I'm afraid of being criticized by everyone for being so weak, for thinking of it as a big issue.
But what people don't know is, that thinking of everything as a big issue is the problem itself. I think. I over think. The Voices in my head keep battling each other, making the situation appear worse to me every passing second. It's like driving a car, but having lost control of it, not being able to push the brakes. I go on and on, and engulf myself in a tunnel of thoughts without even knowing until I try to get out of it. The chain of thoughts is endless, weighing me down deeper in the depths of self deprecation.
---
A part of my mind assures me that I'm correct. I'm good enough. But at the same time, there's the other voice inside my head, battling against all the positive thoughts, making me doubt myself.
Even I, myself, can't help but think of all the things I've accomplished. Everything that I've done, the decisions I've made, were they the correct ones? Or was it just one of the Voices in my head fooling me into thinking that I'm right?
How are we supposed to understand what is actually right and what our mind thinks is right? Most people say that thinking about a problem can help us in finding a solution to it. But it's the exact opposite for some people. If I think about something for too long, I'm not left with any opinion. I'm distracted. Confused. It's just a jumble of thoughts. I can't make out what's true from what my mind just made up.
The thoughts go on forever, until they have derailed from the original point to something completely irrelevant, making me think the two things are same. Making me think that the one small thing, which is nothing to worry about, is something much worse. These are mere thoughts, but if you allow them to overpower you, overcome you, they can make you vulnerable. Make you weak. And mostly, make you feel less of yourself.
I've gone through this phase a lot of times. It's difficult getting yourself away from your thoughts. No positive vibes from anyone can help you, unless you yourself learn to conquer your mind. Collect your thoughts. It's not easy, I know. But it's not impossible either.
The voices can be caused by the society. By the pressure the people force on you.
"Don't cry, be a man."
"Real men don't complain."
"You have to be perfect."
"You are not allowed to do this, you are not capable. You are a girl, after all."
"You should be pretty, otherwise who will marry you?"
If you are a man, then you shouldn't cry. Because apparently, sadness was an emotion just for women. And if you're a woman, your job is just to be pretty and take care of the family, because girls can't do anything else.
These people make you doubt yourself. Make you think you are not enough. Make you feel down. These pressures awake the negative part of your mind, making it stronger. It battles the positivity in you. Lowers your self esteem.
But you have to learn to ignore them. Learn to love yourself. No one can discourage you if you believe in yourself. There is nothing which can stop you from achieving what you want. You can do it. And you will do it, no matter what comes in your way. You deserve all the good things you have. And you deserve more. You're worth it. If someone tries to repress you, make you feel worthless, just remember,
you are not a burden to anyone, you are a gift.
You deserve to live.
Don't lose hope in yourself. Don't let the negative voices conquer the positive ones. And most importantly, have faith in yourself.
