Cedric and Mora stayed back in the compartment (They didn't want to risk having to touch the toad), while Hermione and Zypher went to help find Neville's toad. They wandered the train, going into compartments and asking questions. But with no such luck in finding Treavor.
"My gran is going to kill me! Treavor is my only friend, and I lost him!" Neville exclaimed, making Hermione smile sadly in understanding.
"Hey, buck up. You don't need this stress. We have a few more compartments left, and besides, you have four new friends now. And I have no doubt you'll make more." Zypher told him, and then entered another compartment.
One of the boys in the compartment she recognized as Ron Weasley, but the other one she didn't. He had shaggy dark brown hair, with big baggy clothes that were too big for him. He wore circle glasses that were broken over his emerald green eyes.
Ron had his wand pointed at Scabbers, his family rat, seemingly like he was interrupted doing a spell.
"Have either of you seen a toad? Oh, you're doing magic? Let's see it then." Hermione said, sitting down with Zypher and Neville.
"Um, alright...Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, turn this fat rat yellow!" Ron said, but nothing seemed to happen.
"Fred and George gave you that spell, didn't they?" Zypher asked empathetically.
"Mora did, actually. Damn her for giving me a boggess spell." Ron said with anger, making Zypher chuckle.
"I know some real spells. Here: Oculus Reparo." Hermione said, making the other boy take off his glasses to find them good as new.
"Holy cricket, you're Harry Potter! I'm Hermione Granger, and you are?" She asked, pointing to Ron who had a mouthful of food.
"Ron Weasley." He replied through his food, making some spit out.
"Pleasure." Hermione said with a cringe.
"Well I'm Zypher Greengrass, as you know Ron, and this is Neville Longbottom." Zypher said, flicking Ron for speaking with food in his mouth.
"What house do you think you'll both be in? I'm leaning towards Gryfindor, but Ravenclaw wouldn't be so bad." Hermione asked, repeating the same thing she said earlier.
"As long as it's not Slytherin. I don't like what I've been told about them." Harry Potter said with a scared face.
"There is nothing wrong with Slytherin. They just have a bad reputation because of the amount of dark wizards were in that house. Every house except Hufflepuff has had dark wizards come out. But most of the snobby pure-bloods go to Slytherin, and almost all of them worked for Voldy." Zypher explained, making Ron groan.
"Enough with that nickname for you-know-who, Zypher! It's bloody bad enough already with you wanting to be in Slytherin." He complained, making Zypher flick him again.
"We're going to leave now. If you see a toad, please catch it and give it back to Neville. And Ron, it's your own fault that you believed Mora." She said, and Hermione and Neville followed her out of the compartment.
After a few more minutes of searching, Zypher heard something.
"I think I heard a croak." She announced, causing Neville to perk up.
"THERE!" Zypher said, and dived into a seat.
She stood up after a bit, and to Neville's delight, a slimy toad was in her hands.
"Treavor!" Neville exclaimed happily, taking his toad in his hands.
His and Zypher's hand brushed slightly, making Neville blush.
"It's starting to get dark, so we should change into our school robes. Mora has probably been pacing around the compartment with her robes on already." Zypher said, and they headed back to their compartment.
Sure enough, Mora was standing up when they got back, breathing heavily.
"Z, you okay?!" Zypher asked concerned, looking at Cedric who had a panic face.
"I'm just really nervous. I'm really scared of what the other kids will say about me. I mean, our moms were marauders! And I'm nothing compared to my mom." Mora said sadly, taking deep breaths.
"Are you kidding?! Everybody will love you! The Ravenclaws will look up to you, Hufflepuffs will want to be your best friends, Gryfindors will look to you for advice, and with me leading the Slytherins we'll kick the asses of those who don't. Don't bring yourself down by doubting yourself." Zypher lectured, sitting Mora down.
The train suddenly gave a lerch, causing students to start leaving the train.
"Now, are you ready for the beginning of your life?"
"I guess, just let me put on my robes." Mora said, taking out her wand.
She waved it, and in a couple of seconds, Hermione, Neville, Zypher, Cedric, and her were all wearing their robes. Cedric were Hufflepuff colors, unlike the plain ones the other four had.
"Okay, when you get off the train, the first thing you do is find the big hairy giant. His name is Hagrid. Don't be scared of him though, because he's actually really nice. He'll lead the way." Cedric told them as he led them through the train.
They stepped off the train, and the first thing they saw was a big and tall hairy man with a bushy beard.
"Ello', Cedric." Hagrid said, smiling as far as they could tell.
"Good evening, Hagrid. I got four new first years for you." Cedric replied, smiling up at the giant.
"Well, you 're very kind. Now, you don't want to miss the carriages, so hurry off!" Hagrid chuckled.
"In a moment. Mora, look at me." Cedric said, causing the purple haired girl to look at him shyly.
"You are bloody brilliant. You will do awesome, and you will be liked by everyone. Stop doubting yourself, cheer up, and keep your head high. Believe in yourself, and you'll fly higher than a nimbus two thousand. Find me tomorrow during breakfast, and we'll talk." Cedric told her, then smiled sweetly before running off.
Leaving a flushed and surprised Mora standing beside her grinning best friend.
"I'll bet you'll be doing more than talking in 6 years time." Zypher cheekily whispered in her ear, causing Mora to flush brighter and hit her upside the head.
"Zyph, I fucking swear to Merlin!" She exclaimed, causing Neville and Hermione to laugh.
Hagrid soon led them to a huge lake, with a house on the docks. They went inside and boarded boats by the four, and took off towards the castle. As it came into view, all jaws dropped.
It was massive, with tall towers. Even more towers attached to those towers, and it was on top of a cliff. The town of Hogsmead was now behind them, and they were in the middle of the lake.
They floated below some vines, and entered the docks under the castle. They got out of the boats, and Hagrid ushered them up the steps to a large door. He knocked on them, and a tall old looking woman with a pointed hat stepped out.
"Minnie." Mora and Zypher whispered in sync at the sight of the woman.
"Minnie" started lecturing all the first years, talking about the houses and the rules of the school. The duo turned her out, looking over to a clear blonde haired boy wearing a scowl. He obviously was a Malfoy, they could tell from his hair and his strong aura of arrogance around him.
Once Minnie left for a bit, Malfoy walked up to Harry Potter. He started a conversation, and shot an insult at Ron Weasley. This caused Mora to growl, but she smirked when Harry rejected Malfoy's hand shake. Then Minnie returned
"We're ready for you now." She said, breaking up the conversation between the now enemies.
Minnie led them up more stairs, and finally, into a huge hall. There were four long tables, each had students of different ages. Staff members were sitting at their table, and it had a stool in front of it.
Minnie told them she would call out their names, and they would sit on the stool to be sorting. She then started calling names, and it wasn't long before Hermione was called.
The bushy haired girl eagerly walked to the stool, and was soon sorted in gryffindor.
"Greengrass, Zypher."
Mora paled, and looked over to Zypher's eyes. There was no nervous look in her eyes, and she gave her best friend a hug paired with a wink before she walked to the stool. The sorting hat was placed on her head, and it entered her mind.
"Ah, at last...Zypher Greengrass. I have been waiting to sort you ever since I got word of your parents' marriage. Though they both sorted into slytherin, they were the purest of hearts I had seen in years. You yourself hold qualities of all the houses, but I know just where to put you. Have fun in...
"Slytherin!"
Zypher smirked as cheers erupted from the Slytherin table. She grinned over at Mora as she took off the hat, and walked over to her house table. They all welcomed her, and she found a spot
next to a red haired girl with lots of freckles.
"I'm Harley Physic, second year muggle-born." The girl said, holding out her hand.
"Zypher Greengrass, first year pure-blood. I'm not one of those muggle hating kinds though." Zypher told Harley as she shook her hand.
"Kenson, Zemora." Minnie called, causing her to perk up.
Mora slowly walked up to the stool, with her purple hair hiding her face. She glanced at the Hufflepuff table, catching Cedric's eye. He gave her an encouraging smile, and she smiled shyly back as she put the hat on her head.
"Hello, Mora. I know you're nervous." The hat said in her head.
"Yeah, I am. I'm just scared of what happens next. My best friend and I have never lived apart, but we don't want to be in the same house." Mora told the sorting hat, making sure she wasn't speaking out loud.
"You have a strong heart, and an exceptional mind. You will make many friends, and you will make your mother proud. I know what house to put you in, but first, what would you say is your best quality?" The hat asked her, causing her to smile.

"Well, I know where you belong now. Better be..."
