~~~~(Embry's POV)~~~~~~

I was on patrol keeping an eye and nose for the scent we've detected in the past few weeks. I was thinking of Amy and the kids when I smelled that sweet sickening smell of a leech. I let the others know and chased after it with Paul and Quil next to me. We chased this vampire deep into the woods then two more joined him. We tried to catch him but he stopped and hit Quil sending him back into a tree.

Leah howled for the others and soon heard their thoughts. We caught them up to speed of what's happening until we came to an opening. When we got there, there were three leeches standing on the other side of the field. The one in the middle was smirking for some unknown reason.

"Welcome mutts," he started and that smirk didn't leave his face. "Now we're going to fight you dogs and win by ending you miserable lives. Sadly I won't be apart of your downfall, I am needed else where. You two know what to do and have fun." He said grinning the last part, then snapped his fingers and a big group of leeches came out of the trees. The one probably the leader turned and walked away.

"I'm going to have fun destroying you worthless animals," he said smiling then said, "kill them," quietly. The other leeches ran at us releasing battle cries. We all growled then waited for Sam to tell us to rip their asses apart.

After awhile of killing these blood suckers more would keep coming. I lost track of time because it was soon getting dark. While fighting I had this bad feeling something was wrong. I decided to push the feeling aside and kept fighting. Soon the blood suckers stopped and the three from before came out.

"Hate to break it to you but you fell into our trap. You see we lured you away from your imprints to fight you. While you were being distracted some newborns wondered off and stumbled to a house filled with your imprints. Knowing imprints are the most important thing to you mutts, we had to kill them." He said grinning like a fool. I growled for him threatening Amy and my kids.

I started to creep forward but stopped when hearing a painful howl then a scream. My heart dropped and I turned to see the three leeches leave with smirks like knowing they won. I ran in the distance towards Sam's and Emily's house. Fear was sinking into my body pumping adrenaline through my body.

When reaching Emily's house the sight I saw made my heart break........
