Something Sweet

~~~~(Aurora's POV)~~~~
We just stayed there in the pouring rain, holding each other. All I could hear was the rain hitting the pavement, and Jesse's heart pound.
"Come on, let's get out of the rain." Jesse leaned down and grabbed one of my bags. He held my left hand, while I carried the other bag. We walked about a mile on the road, until Jesse led me through the woods. We came upon a beautiful house, it was a cabin like theme. It had open windows, and was a two story. It was huge!
"Jesse, where are we? I don't remember this place."
"This my house, I moved here shortly after you left. I wanted to find a house for you when you came home." He did this for me? A smile made its way on my face. He opened the door for me, and closed it shortly after.
"It's nice." I said taking in the living room. It had brown furniture matching the cabin. A flatscreen tv was on the wall. Then the kitchen was to the left. It was beautiful as well, stone wall, and cabinets. Right in between the kitchen and living room was the stairs. I wandered up the stairs and down the hall.
I looked into every room. There was two bathrooms, and four bedrooms. The master bedroom was the best. A king sized bed was in the middle of the room, two bedside tables, a tv opposite of the bed, and a bathroom on the right next to the closet. Pictures littered the wall.
"This has been my dream house since I was a kid."
"Well, maybe you shouldn't have left your sketchbook out in the open." I turned to face Jesse. "I wanted you to have everything you liked. So when I saw your dream house in your sketchbook, I had it built. Just for you."
I was speechless. I ran and engulfed Jesse in a hug. He returned the hug and said,
"Why don't you go take a shower to warm up. Clothes are in the closet."
"Thank you, Jesse." Then I turned around and went to the bathroom to take a nice warm shower. Since I haven't unpacked yet, I used Jesse's shampoo. After I felt clean, did I get out. I wrapped the fluffy white towel around my slim body. I found a brush on the counter. I brushed my long hair, then walked into the closet. I saw my clothes fill one side, as Jesse's clothes filled the other side.
I wanted to wear something of his, so I grabbed one of his shirts, and a pair of my shorts. I pulled his shirt on, and looked at how long it was. It stopped just a bit above my knee. I walked down the stairs to the living room. I sat on the couch as Jesse came in with two mugs in his hands.
"Here I figured you would like something sweet." I already have something sweet, I thought to myself. I took the black mug, and smell the sweet aroma. Mmm, hot chocolate my favorite. This brought a smile to my face.
"Thank you," I said as Jesse sat next to me. I sat sideways, with my legs over his lap. We talked about the things that's happened for the past two years. Man I missed a bunch of stuff. Apparently all the guys get together and go on a camping trip for a couple of days.
We laughed, drank our hot chocolate, and shared stories. We laughed a while, when I shared about the kid who accidentally blew up the science lab. Apparently he mixed a chemical or two and it blew up in his face. That's all I heard, until I heard the story from her friend Megan.
Apparently the cheerleaders, added something when the poor boy wasn't looking. Later in the week, I saw the same boy walking down the hall. The cheerleaders were bullying the poor kid. This made me mad, and I helped the poor boy off the floor.
Turns out we were in the same grade and classes. We became friends since then, and joined our group with Megan. After a year, Megan and Cole started dating. Before I left to come home, we made a promise to stay in touch. And I never go back on my promises. Never.
"So you put ants in the cheerleaders beds? Oh Aurora, I can't believe you." Jesse tried hard not to laugh.
"Hey that's what they deserve after picking on Cole. He even helped me. And they were red ants to be exact. It was really funny to hear them screaming from down the hall too." I laughed. Then it was silent as our laughter died down.
"I missed you," I looked at Jesse.
"I missed you too." His eyes were dull, like he was sad. Why is he sad?
"No, I mean you not being here for two years really hurt me. I had a hard time sleeping, but I was glad you got to call most of the time." Now I felt guilty. "Nobody else left, it was just you who did."
"I had to leave for a bit, just to get out of this town for awhile. It really hurt me not having you next to me as well. Trust me I'm not going anywhere for a long time." I saw his eyes sparkle like they use to do.
"Wanna watch a movie?" I smiled and Jesse turned the tv on. The Longest Ride was showing, and I watched while leaning on Jesse's shoulder. I haven't slept for a couple of nights, so I was very tired. My eyes started to drift shut, but the last thing I saw was the cowboy dive into the pond after his girl.
I heard movement next to me, then I was lifted in the air. I felt us walking up the stairs. I heard a door open and then my body was met with something soft. It felt like I was on a cloud, so soft. My heat source moved leaving me cold once again. I whimpered, but heard a quiet chuckle in response.
I heard movement shuffle across the hard wood floor. Then I felt the bed dip behind me, signaling Jesse was next to me. I felt his big warm arm snake around my waist, pulling me up against his chest. My body began to warm up again, and I felt his warm breath on my neck and shoulder.
"Goodnight Aurora, I love you." Then I felt him kiss my cheek, making sparks spread across my skin. I smiled again mumbling I love you. I loved tonight because I got to see Jesse, and realized how much I loved him. I fell into a dreamless sleep that night.
