Confrontations

~~~~(Jesse's POV)~~~~
When I got back home, Stephan and the others informed me about Aurora's predicament. This isn't good, and I feel like she's hiding something from me. That was three days ago and she still isn't well.
She lays in bed, to exhausted to move. She barely eats, but a couple bites of toast and drinks some water. I'm really tempted to call Carlisle, as I'm worried about her well being. Maybe he can confront her about it tonight at the small party/family gathering.
I sighed and dialed Carlisle's number waiting for him to pick up. On the second ring, I hear Carlisle speak,
"Hello?"
"Carlisle, it's me, we need to talk." I responded before I went into full detail.....
~~~~(Aurora's POV)~~~~
"Ahh," I released a deep sigh, as I sunk my body into the warm water. My sore muscles very stiff from laying in bed the past week. Ever since I puked four days ago, my body was extremely exhausted. And now I'm to the point where I puke at least once a day. Luckily, I vomit when Jesse isn't here.

I got out once the water began to turn cold. I wrapped a soft white towel around my frail body. My hair was already washed so I combed the knots out. I walked to my closet to find a nice outfit for tonight. I wore a light gray long sleeve shirt, dark charcoal skinny jeans, peach scarf, and light brown moccasins (picture on the side).

I left my blonde hair down, and straightened it. I put my regular makeup on which consisted of foundation, black eyeliner, and mascara. I looked at the mirror, staring at the reflection. What I saw made me sick.

There before me was a weak and skinny girl. Eyes no longer their bright vibrant blue, but more a dull with no spark. Hair thin and dull from lack of vitamins and nutrients. Skin slowly turning pale from lack of sunlight.

I took a deep breath and tore my gaze away from the sight. I felt another wave of sickness wash over me, and I quickly made my way to the toilet. After I finished I sat back, as my body was already tired. My breathing heavy, and very little sweat dripped down my face.

I sighed, that was the second time today. My gaze found the cabinet under the sink. I open the little door, and reached in the clear back. Once I found what I was looking for, I brought it out. In my hand was a small teal makeup bag. But this bag contained something else rather than makeup.

I unzipped the bag and pulled out the bottle of pills. I unscrewed the lid to see that I only had four left. This isn't good, I closed my eyes as tears threatened to fall. This was filled last month. I popped one in my mouth and swallowed quickly. I put the bag back, and splashed cold water on my face.

Once I looked better I made my way downstairs. I hear mumbling, but it stopped when I walked into the living room. Jesse looked up and smiled at me from the couch.

"Hey, how you feeling?" I knew he was worried about me, but I just don't want to hurt him. I gave the best smile I could and said,

"Better, I just needed sleep to fight off that bug." I walked over and sat on the couch and put my head on his shoulder. "So when's this party thing anyway?" I smiled.

"It's at 6 o'clock, so about a half hour. We're meeting everyone at the Cullen's house." Jesse said. He had his arm wrapped around my waist and placed a kiss on my temple. I truly love this man, I just wish he had a better imprint.

Soon it was time to leave. Jesse and I got into his jeep and drove in silence. The radio was playing and one of my favorite songs came on, 'Little Things' by One Direction.
"Your hand fits in mine like it's made just for me
But bear this in mind, it was meant to be
And I'm joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks
And it all makes sense to me..." I started to sing along, not caring if Jesse heard.

"I know you've never loved the crinkles by your eyes when you smile
You've never loved your stomach or your thighs, the dimples in your back at the bottom of your spine
But I'll love them endlessly" my voice soft and quiet.

"I won't let these little things
Slip out of my mouth
But if I do
It's you
Oh it's you
They add up to
I'm in love with you
And all these little things" their music video playing in my head.

"You can't go to bed without a cup of tea
And maybe that's the reason that you talk in your sleep
And all those conversations are the secrets that I keep
Though it makes no sense to me" my smile never leaving my face.

"I know you've never loved the sound of your voice on tape
You never want to know how much you weigh, you still have to squeeze into your jeans
But you're perfect to me" my body relaxing to the soft music.

"I won't let these little things
Slip out of my mouth
But if it's true
It's you
It's you" this song sounds sad, but it's a beautiful song of what every girl wishes to hear.
"They add up to
I'm in love with you
And all these little things" my eyes closed as I continued to sing.

"You'll never love yourself half as much as I love you
And you'll never treat yourself right darlin' but I want you to
If I let you know I'm here for you
Maybe you'll love yourself like I love you, oh" I'm staring at the stars as I sang this part.

"I've just let these little things
Slip out of my mouth
'Cause it's you
Oh it's you
It's you they add up to
And I'm in love with you
And all these little things" my breathing calm.

"I won't let these little things
Slip out of my mouth
But if it's true
It's you
It's you
They add up to
I'm in love with you
And all your little things" I finished with my hand in Jesse's giving a squeeze. He squeezed back and smiled at me.

"You have a wonderful voice, I love hearing you sing." Jesse spoke up. I turned to him and said,

"I love to sing especially those type of songs." Jesse brought my hand up and kissed it before returning his gaze to the road. Five minutes later Jesse pulled in, and we walked in the house. I could hear talking coming from the living room. All conversation stopped once we walked in, and I placed a smile on my face.

"Aurora!" Aunt Alice greeted happily as she skipped towards me and embraced me in an overdue hug. I hugged back for not seeing her in so long. Aunt Rose and grandma Esme hugged me as well.

After some catching up and eating, Carlisle asked to speak with me. I was a little stunned as to why, but put my plate down and followed him to his office. After I walked in Carlisle closed the door and faced me.

I looked into his amber eyes and saw concern. I'm very worried as to what he wants to talk about. I found the courage to finally ask him.

"Carlisle, what's wrong?" The concerned look never left his eyes. He brushed a hand through his hair before talking.

"That's what I wanted to talk to you about." Now I'm confused.

"Huh?"

"Is everything alright Aurora? He questioned. I was taken back by this.

"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" I said rather too quickly. Does he know about my secret? Do any of the others know?

"What I'm asking is are you okay, health wise. You've changed since I last saw you." He's getting suspicious. Quickly say something.

"Yes I'm fine, why is everybody asking that!" I say a little annoyed. I'm getting tired of this honestly. The door opened and uncle Jasper came in.

"Aura, we know you've been sick." Jasper spoke in his southern accent. No! Did Megan and Cole snitch? I'm going to try and play this off.

"What do you mean? I just had the flu for a few days, no biggie." I brushed it off. They're getting too close for comfort.

"For almost two weeks? Aurora we know that's not true." Carlisle added. I stayed silent, not wanting this conversation to continue.

"Aura what are you afraid of?" Jasper questioned. That nickname, I can't bare to hear it anymore. The only people called me that was Jasper, Emmett, Rose, Jesse, and grandpa John. Sometimes my cousins would but not always.

"Don't call me that. I'm not afraid of anything!" I yell back.

"Then why do you keep shutting us out!" Jasper retorted. This took me by surprise, and not wishing to hear any more I walked out. When I stepped out the door all eyes were on me, and standing in the middle of the room was the three people I didn't want to see the most.

"What?" I said a little more harsh than intended. I'm trying to calm my racing heart, before a full blown panic attack happens. Liam was the first to speak up.

"Why are you here?" I knew if I talked I would surely be in trouble. My palms began to sweat, and my stomach churned. My hands shaking just a tad bit.

"So now our family invites murderers to family gatherings." Lilly spat with hatred. I have to admit that stung a little. I blinked a few times to keep the tears back. If I cried in front of them, they'd win. And I never cry in front of anyone.

"Enough you guys." Sam began.

"No she needs to hear us out." Ember stated. Why are they so mean to me? It's like everyone is against me being here.

"Why did you come back? They're only here because of you!" What? They're here because of me? Who is?

"Guys sto-" Flora intervened.

"No, she has a right to know." I just kept eye contact with the floor.

"Those leeches, all the killings, have started since the day she came here. Those newborns are after you. Your nothing but trouble." Liam finished. Just that last sentence, pained me.

I could feel the attack starting. My hands were shaking, burning pain in my chest, heart beat increasing, and not being able to breathe. I had to get out of here and fast. From the corner of my eye, I saw the back door wide open.

I took that as my chance, and booked it. I heard shouts from behind but that faded as blood thumped in my ears. Adrenaline pumped through my veins, every fiber itching to go faster. Why do they do this to me? Do they like seeing me suffer?

I came to an abrupt stop when I heard a chuckle in the distance. My head snapped all around seeing who's there. The female leech I keep seeing steps next to the tree in front of me.

"Well, well, well, look what we have here. The person I've been dying to see, has waltzed into our grasp without a fight." She said with a sly smile. I saw a dark shadowed figure standing behind her. I was getting a dark vibe from him.

"Leave." Was all I said. My attack was slowly creeping up on me. I need to calm down and with them here it's not going to happen.

"We will once we have what we came here for." She snapped her fingers, and suddenly I'm surrounded. Vampires are circling me as they come out of hiding. I have a bad feeling about this. She snapped her fingers again and they started coming closer. Before I knew it, something hit the back of my head knocking me out instantly.
