Chapter 9: The Angel
Angela heard the familiar rev of her motorcycle's engine as she sped up. 'They should be at that cave', she thought. Her motorcycle thumped along the brick path as she saw her destination. She quickly arrived, stopped the motorcycle and hopped off. She took off her helmet and put it on the basket of her motor bike then adjusted her small ponytail.
She walked off the path she had parked on and quickly found the cave which Jane, Mythily, Talon, Tanner and Emma were in. As she approached the cave, leaves crunching under her boots, Jane exited the cave. Jane's eyes widened.
"Angela?" Jane asked. Angela smiled.
"The one and only." She answered.
Jane ran over to Angela and hugged her.
"I'm so glad the gods have graced us with your presence." Jane said. Angela chuckled a bit.
"I just had a heads up from a certain person that you were nearby and thought I'd help out." Angela said.
"Well, thank you none the less."
Suddenly, a loud cracking and a thump came from the distance and a yelp followed closely. Angela pinched the bridge of her nose but grinned.
"Silly dude can't do anything right. You guys stay here, I'll be back." She said and ran off towards where the sounds had come from.
Angela soon came upon a fallen tree. And underneath said tree was none other than Reggie. He was attempting to push the tree off of him and frankly looked like an idiot.
"Dude, y'okay?" Angela asked. Reggie quickly looked up and sighed.
"I'm okay I'm just... Stuck." He said.
"Yep, it appears so." Angela said and bent down. "May Patryk have mercy on your soul your pour idiot." She grabbed hold of the tree and lifted up. Reggie was startled at how easy she made it look and he crawled out. Once he was out Angela gently set the tree down.
"Come on," she said, helping him up. They walked back to the cave. Once inside, Tanner was holding Talon (who was evidently passed out) and Jane was going through her purse.
"What's going on?" Reggie asked.
"Talon passed out a few minutes ago and we have no idea why. Jane's looking for something to help-" Tanner started
"-but I can't find anything." Jane interrupted.
Angela stuck her hand into her pocket then swiftly pulled out a pill.
"This'll wake him up eventually, but we need to get somewhere safer than this." She said and made Talon unconsciously swallow the pill.
"Uh, do you want to carry him?" Tanner asked.
"Nope, you'll carry him." Angela said. "Let's go to my house." Everyone else didn't have any other ideas so they all agreed.

As they approached her house, they heard enraged screaming. Angela sighed and unlocked the door, going inside.
"Karat, we have guests! Shut up!" Angela shouted.
"YOU SHUT UP, I'M PLAYING CALL OF THE DUTIES!" Karat replied. once they went inside, they saw a short male person with messy, black hair and dark circles under his eyes. He was wearing a grey shirt and baggy, ripped jeans. He was sitting on the couch in front of the T.V. wearing headphones and holding a controller.
"Where's Kanri?" Angela asked.
"He's out with Mitua, Latua and Cronus." Karat answered.
"Oh-"
"He left you a note, idiot."
"I just got home, jeez." Angela said then led everyone to the basement without another word. Karat continued to scream at people through the mic.
"Okay, Tanner bring Talon upstairs. Everyone else, make yourselves at home." And with that, Angela led Tanner back upstairs. They went into the kitchen and Angela directed him to sit Talon down on the table, and make sure he's sitting up. Tanner did so, and Angela got to work. She put her hand on Talon's forehead for a moment then she got a cold, wet cloth and replaced her hand with it. Then, she took a small knife and gently pricked Talon's index finger. She put the small amount of blood on a little tray.
"I'll be right back," she said then exited the room with the tray.
Tanner sat down on the table next to Talon, putting his arm around his shoulders to keep him from falling over. Soon, Angela came back.
"I knew it," she said, "nobody picked up the phone when I called it."
"What's wrong with him?" Tanner asked.
"Someone from the day side poisoned him. Probably when the car crashed. But, worry not, I have the antidote." Angela replied. Tanner let out a sigh of relief
