Chapter 10: The Vision

Talon found himself paddling a gondola on a shining lake. White feathers fluttered down and landed gently on the water around him. He kept paddling, and didn't stop. He didn't have a desire to stop. He soon started to hear some singing and paddled quicker towards it. The voice sang these words to melodic tune:

"O come the winter storm
O come the springtime rain
O come the summer, blazing,
O come resolve the pain.
I shall still hold her dear to my heart,
The demon in the rain.
She will save this quest
She'll save the boy
Bring us comfort and joy
She'll save you soon from the depths of despair,
I tell you now so you will know
There'll come a time where you will go
Go to the house of the deceived.
Oh please, I beg you, hurt her not
She is my golden stone
Without her I would perish
And leave my silver throne.

"The legend of the yin and yang has always been true
She is the yin
I am the yang
We work in harmony
One crumbles without the other
I know visions are seldom what they seem
But trust me when I tell you this;
She is the key to our existence
Heed this warning
If she dies
There will be hell to pay."

Talon's gondola hit the edge of a small little island. He climbed out and saw a girl with short, brown hair and hazel eyes standing on a flat, silver stones. She was wearing white jeans and a white dress shirt. She also had large wings protruding out of her back. She held a large silver sword and slowly pointed it at Talon as he walked towards her. She closed her eyes.
"Please..." She said, "don't hurt her." The lady opened her eyes that were filled with tears, green, brown and golden colors shining vibrantly.
     Talon nodded.
"I won't hurt her... Who is 'her' exactly?" Talon asked.
"It's Angel-" but the girl disappeared before she could completely finish. Suddenly everything around him began to disappear.

Talon's eyes shot open as a cup was being placed at his lips, a few drops of liquid sliding down his tongue. He sat up and coughed as some liquid slid into his respiratory track.
"Who... I... What..." Talon continued to mumble incoherent things. Angela put her hands on his shoulders and stared into his eyes.
"Hey, there. Calm down, bro... What happened?" She said. Talon took a few deep breaths, calming himself down.
"There was a lady.. With brown hair and hazel eyes... She told us not to hurt you." He said and Angela's eyes widened.
"Jennie..." She said.
"Who now?" Tanner said.
"Where was she??" Angela asked eagerly.
"I-I don't know." Talon replied, "I had no idea where I was... I was rowing a gondola on a pretty River and she was standing on a really small island on a silver rock.."
     Angela sighed.
"Well, I know who I have to beat the sh*t out of now." She said, swiping her fingerless gloves off the counter.
"Wait, what??" Talon said.
"I know someone who knows where that is, but he won't tell me willingly."
"I'll go with you." Tanner said. Angela raised an eyebrow.
"You will? What, you wanna prove yourself to your boyfriend?" She teased, making Tanner blush.
"N-no! It's not like that, it's just- augh!"
"Aw cute, it totally is." Karat said as he walked between them to grab a soda from the fridge. Tanner groaned.
"Just let me come with you!" He said.
"Okay, okay. Let's go, my hoe." She said, walking out of the kitchen. As she passed the basement she called down to everyone, telling them they could come upstairs.

Angela hopped onto her spare motorcycle, Tanner hesitated.
"Oh my god, get on you pussy." She said, patting the seat behind her. Tanner quickly got on and they drove off out to the middle of nowhere.
