(A/n: this chapter will be in Jane's POV after the night she and Enya met! Enjoy.)
"Enya Diaz.. also known as Ayana, the beautiful flower. Has performed in many nightclubs and refuses to perform in gentleman's clubs as to preserve her dignity." I whispered underneath my breath at the information i had been reading. That didn't surprise me in the least since miss Diaz told me that she didn't like those sort of clubs and found them disgusting. But.. why do I feel like I knew her from long ago?
Sighing, I began to play with my blonde hair and looked out the window. that was then I decided to look up my handmaiden, Enya Dians. As soon as I typed in her name in the search bar and entered it, I clicked on the first link that I saw and froze, staring deep into the soft yet deep lime green jewels that she owned. As I scrolled down, I clicked on her death and how she died. Here's what the link said.
"When queen Jane Seymour died from childbirth, her handmaiden, Enya Dians was devastated and slowly began developing Broken heart syndrome. When she looked at the infant Edward VI, she decided to look after him as his governess. When he died, Dians cried over his grave at Westminster Abbey.. her last diary entry before her own death on June 8th, 1561 was: 'dearest Jane and Edward, I may not last this long.. after your deaths, I have been so broken.. my lovely Jane, I missed you so. Edward, I also missed you.. I am coming my beloveds.'
She went to her bed, closing her eyes for the last time, never to wake up."
As soon as I read that entry, I could feel wetness on my face. Enya.. clearing my eyes and face of tears, I went outside to think. A memory flooded my mind like a broken dam, flooding the inside of it.
(Flashback, August 19th, 1536.)
"Did you wish to speak to me, my queen?" Asked Enya as I turned around, smiling at her petite frame clad in red. Her short and dark hair was neatly brushed and decorated with a silvery crown with sapphires, one I insisted for her to wear. "Yes, dear. Come with me." I told her as we began walking to the fountain in the hedge maze. Once we arrived at the destination, The dark-haired maiden before me looked behind her shoulder as she looked terrified. "We are not going to get caught, my love." I said, soothing her nerves.
She smiled at me and smoothed her skirt out as I stared at her. That day, I had the ladies-in-waiting send a beautiful gown up to her room so I could do what I desired. I insisted for it to be made out of red silk with little lime green stones adorning the hem of the skirt and sleeves that reached strictly to her elbows, decorated with lace. Around her neck was a silver necklace with sapphires and diamonds shaped like angel wings. "Now, the reason why I called you here is because... I wish to marry you." I announced, watching her face change to shock.
"Are you sure, my queen? I mean.. what if the king sees me with a ring on my finger?!" She said as I placed a hand on her shoulder. "It will be ok, I'll make something up." I replied, taking out the red velvet box and opening the lid of the box, presenting the ring to her sight.
"I.. I accept your proposal, my queen." She said, her voice a whisper as I slid the ring onto her fair finger. We both kissed that August day..
(End of flashback!)
Opening my eyes, I could see Enya's face right in front of me. She wore a red summer dress with a sheer lace at the ends and black flats. Around her neck was the ring I had given my handmaiden all those years ago.. "I remember.. my queen.." she whispered, her eyes meeting mine. "You do?" The belly dancer nodded her head and held up the ring that was on a silver chain. "Where did you get that ring?" I asked her as she smiled. "My ring was at an auction so I won it back along with some bits of my jewelry before I died." She told me, her lime greens sparkling.
"I see. I have missed you, Enya.."
"I missed you too, Jane.. so much.. when you died, I was shocked yet angry. The only thing I could do was to look after your son.. but, when he died, my heart that was broken by your death shattered into a millions of pieces." I then hugged the noirette as she hugged back. "This time.. you will not lose me. This time.. I will not die, I can assure you that. Your heart will never be broken again.." I whispered in her ear as she smiled through her tears. "Never again?"
"Never again, my angel." She gripped onto my white dress as I rubbed her back while she poured out every ounce of pain and agony she had in her heart when she lost me and Edward long ago. Once I heard her sobs turning softer, she looked up at me. "This is the best Independence Day gift ever.." she said softly. we kissed that night as fireworks in silver, red, green, white and purple exploded in the background of the garden. Anne was whispering things in Cecilia's ears in French while Anna was holding Magnolia in her arms.
After we stopped kissing, I looked down at her since she was a little bit shorter than me. "I have something in mind for the both of us." I said to her as Enya tilted her head just slightly in confusion. "What is it?" She asked me as I blushed softly at the former maiden that won my heart years ago. "Spend the night with me?" She smirked and wrapped her arms my neck.
"How could I possibly refuse?" She crooned. I believe you all can imagine what happened after we went inside my room.
