(A/n: I am very happy that you all are liking this story! Anyways, this chapter takes place after Anne Boleyn met Cecilia and is in Boleyn's POV. Enjoy!)
"Anne, what are you looking at on your phone?" Asked Parr as I stared at a picture of kind and smart Cecilia.. I felt like i knew her before.. I looked at her, dead in the eyes. "Do you feel like you've met someone before and in another time?" I asked her as she nodded. "Yeah, what about it- Wait.. You remember something from your past?" She replied, confusion evident in her tone. "Yes.. I just found something about that handmaiden I have told you about before I was.. Beheaded." I immediately tapped onto the link that I found and started reading it.
"When Anne Boleyn became queen, she had a smart yet kind handmaiden by the name of Cecilia Dians who was the governess of queen Elizabeth 1st. When Boleyn died, the guilt flooded Cecilia's heart so much that during her final moments, before her death by assassination, was: 'my queen.. please forgive me.. I'll be with you soon..' implying that she and Anne were in love." I had to find her.. that was then I scrolled down and saw an old photograph of Cecilia..
That was when I realized it.. My jewel without flaws, you returned to me at last.. I put down my phone and went out for a walk. Going to a nearby park, I sat down and closed my eyes, that memory of my jewel and myself back then going through my mind.
(Flashback, April 20th, 1534)
"You wished to speak with me, my queen?" Asked Cecilia as she wore the dress I insisted for her to wear and she paired it with a dark green pearl headband which was secretly a crown which I had made for her.
The dress was made out of the most finest merino wool and was green with little red gemstones and roses dotting it. The sleeves draped to her mid-wrist and around her neck was a golden necklace with a single emerald. In her ears was the same metal and stone but shaped like ovals. She even took the time to add just a bit of her usual berry-colored rouge on her mocha lips and cheeks. "Indeed I did. Walk with me." I told her as she and I began to walk to the rosebushes that were in the garden. Quickly looking around to make sure that me and her weren't followed, I sighed in relief and turned to look at Cecilia.
"Do you know the reason why I asked you to meet me here?" I asked her as she shook her head no. I then took out a white ring box from the hidden pocket of my gown. "Cecilia, the first time I laid eyes on you.. I knew I wouldn't be the same anymore.. you made me fall for you with your sweet temperament.. I want you by my side until death does us part. So I will ask if you.." I opened the top part of the box to present the ring inside.
"Will you marry me?" She was silent, shocked yet happy. "Yes..!" I slid the engagement ring onto her middle finger and we both shared a kiss that warm spring day.
(End of flashback!)
I opened my eyes, now feeling rain drops on my face. "Raining?" That was then I saw a shamrock green umbrella now covering me from the rain. "Anne? What are you doing here, my queen?" Cecilia asked as her deep sapphire jewel-like eyes met my own. "Come on, your going to get soaked at the rate this rain's coming down!" She added, taking my hand and with the umbrella over the both of us, we both ran through the rain to a large manor which was painted red with one stained glass window painted green.
She opened the door and we both went inside, as she removed her raincoat and closed her umbrella. I then noticed the exact same ring I had given my jewel all those years ago. "Where did you get that ring?" I asked as she smiled. "Do you not remember? This was the ring you gave me that warm April spring day!" I was shocked! Could it be that my Cecilia had remembered me? Remembered her queen and secret lover? "Yes.. I do remember you. Even though we have been just reunited, we can finally get married. BUT! We need to start slow, can you do that for me?"
That was the only condition and I perfectly understood why. "Of course, my little sapphire in the rough~" she giggled and wrapped her arms around my neck, being mindful of the scar that was hidden underneath my choker. "Anne.. I can't believe that man executed you to go after lady Jane Seymour." She whispered, her eyes glittering with unshed tears. I knew what she meant. On the day of my death, I saw Cecilia's beautiful face drenched with tears as she wore a black funeral dress with gray lace and the ring I had given her around her neck in a silver chain.
"Hey now.. I'm alive and ok. I couldn't believe it either. Lilibet loved you and called you 'mama' back then each time she saw you walking through the halls of his palace.. I actually asked her if she wanted you to be her second mother and she said yes." I heard her sweet giggles as she looked up since I was a little taller than her. "If you'd excuse me, I'm getting out of this top and shorts into something a bit more my style." She said, kissing my cheek and walking away to another room. A few minutes later, she came back out wearing a green dress similar to the one she used to wear back then.
She was just as beautiful as she once was in life.. I had prayed we'd met in our next life and we would be together.
Perhaps it was fate if we didn't survive what happened to the both of us and we'd meet again in another life, another time.. this time, I wasn't going to lose her and she wasn't gonna lose me.
