"Anna, what has gotten into you?" Asked Jane as she noticed me staring into a photo of sweet Magnolia on my phone.. until a unsettling feeling formed in the pit of my stomach. "Jane.. answer me this. Did you ever feel like when you just met someone, you've known them for years?" I asked her as she sighed. "Sometimes. Why- Oh my god!" She realized as she looked at me. "Don't tell me.. you knew her back then?" She asked. "Maybe.. I told you about my handmaiden, right?"

"The one that could be sweet yet sassy at times? Yes, you have mentioned her to me before. You also said her name was Magnolia as well."

"Yep.. Listen to this: 'when Anna of Cleves divorced Henry, she brought her handmaiden; the beautiful yet kind and sweet Magnolia Rouge with her. When Anna died, she was devastated at the loss of her beloved queen and committed suicide by taking a bottle of poison.' My god.. I need to find her.." I said, staring at the portrait that I managed to find of my flower..

That was then I began to connect the dots.. Magnolia.. my beloved flower.. I can't believe this, 480 years later, you finally returned to me.. this time, I plan of not losing you ever again, not like how I just found out. I lowered my phone and went outside for a walk. As I was walking, I found a park bench and sat down. That was then a memory I thought I had lost came back to me, full force like a waterfall crashing over rocks.

(Flashback, March 3rd, 1541)

"You called for me, my queen?" Asked Magnolia as she tilted her head to the side, looking so beautiful in that dress which was red as the rose petals in the garden embroidered with golden vines.. her hair was cascading down her shoulders and a small jeweled headband which matched her dress along with jewelry. "Yes, my dear girl. Walk with me." She took my arm as we began walking. We both stopped at the garden's fountain as she sat down on the stone with me joining her.

"Do you know the reason why I called for you?" I asked her as she shook her head no. Taking out a ring from my gown's hidden pocket, I tapped the top of her hand. "Extend your fingers." I told her as she separated all five of her fingers from her left hand. Placing the ring on her middle finger, I watched as she took a look at the piece of jewelry on her hand.

"My queen.. are you certain you want me?" She asked, tears threatening to spill over as I nodded. "Yes.. if you will have me." I told her as she gave me a watery smile. "Yes..! I will marry you!" She whispered, her voice sounding happy. That was then we both shared a kiss that wonderful march day..

(End of flashback!)

That was then I felt tears going down my cheeks, remembering Magnolia's bright and lovely face that day I proposed as I didn't care what everyone else said. "Anna?" Whispered a familiar face as I looked up, seeing miss Roux. "Hey.." I took note of what she was wearing. She wore a red dress, similar to the one she used to wear in the past. "I.. I remember." I hear her say.. could it be.. that my Magnolia Rouge has returned? (A/n: start music) "I remember everything.. why didn't I recognize you sooner, my love?" She said, cursing herself.

"Don't worry, you didn't know." I said softly to her, gently hugging her tiny frame. I noticed she had the ring I gave her back then around a pearly chain.. "you kept it.." she smiled softly at me and played with it. "Of course, close to my heart. I found it and when I did.. I recognized it as the engagement ring you gave me back then." She told me, before her expression hardened. "Even though we just got reunited, we can finally be free to marry, BUT! We have to catch up and take things slow, ok?" She added.

"Of course, dear.. I'm so glad your back."

"And I you, my queen. Never leave me ever again."

"I would never dream of it."

Magnolia smiled brightly that day just as she did long ago, on that March day. Placing her head on my shoulder, she closed those beautiful caramel brown eyes. I maybe no longer the 4th wife of king Henry the fifth, but I'm still Anna of Cleves. I was going to make sure that I was not going to lose the one woman who I loved so damn much like I just found out after I died. The ring on the chain glittered and sparkled in the sunlight along with her dress. "Anna.. I still can't believe that I didn't recognize you and only heard of you via the show.." she said, gently sighing.

I didn't blame her for not recognizing me, after all.. time can change a person. Like her, I loved her so much it killed me.. I didn't care what anyone else thought, I just cared about sweet yet kind Magnolia at the time and I still do. I entwined our fingers together as she smiled. "So.. how do we tell the others and your cousin?" She smirked and looked at me, cracking open one soft brown eye. "We don't. Let them guess and see the shock on their faces when they realize it." She said with a small giggle.

"Heh, you really are your mother's daughter, aren't you Mein Herz?" Her cheeks turned into a dark pink color, contrasting with the ring. "Did.. did you just call me 'your heart' in German?" I grinned which gave her the answer. She was too adorable to tease! I fell even more in love with this flower.

Even though I was once a queen and she a handmaiden, our differences made us unique and we both did not care about what happened back then.

The past was the past, one can't change it, you can only keep going. Our souls didn't have a happy ending but they were reborn anew and a happy beginning.

Fate had given us, star-crossed lovers another chance to have a happy ending.
