Chapter thirty six: Daughter of time
A few millennia after Jalan was forced to marry the now king Astro he forced himself on her, no matter how to poor hybrid kicked and shoved he wouldn't give up and unfortunately it bore fruit.
Jalan the moment Astro forced himself upon her had given up on life and just numbly sat on the bed looking up at the ceiling. But one day as she sat there looking up she felt a dreadful pain in her stomach and screamed in pain and almost instantly the servants rushed in the room and took action they called the king and rushed the queen to the delivery room.
"My lady one more push!" The servant
cried out.
Jalan wanting the pain to end obeyed and mustered up all remaining strength and screamed like an enraged goddess before a child's cry was heard throughout the ward:
"Aww look at her crimson red hair... Where does she get that from?" A servant admired the child.
"Don't know but she's definitely the king's daughter... Look she has the mark of time that means she's next in line!" Another spoke.
"Let's give her to her mother!"
Jalan wanted to stop them from giving her the child as she was terrified of anything related to that man but the moment the servants put the baby in her arms she could only stare at the baby in awe as warm feelings filled her chest, her daughter had golden eyes and deep crimson hair, and yes she also held the mark on time which was a timescale. Her wings were silver to gold, she was adorable.
Jalan nuzzled the child close to her unwilling to let anyone else take her, that was the moment when king Astros walked in.
"That's the child?" The king asked walking beside the servants.
"Yes, my Lord! This is the young princess. What shall we call her?" The servant asked the king, Astros thought for a while:
"Let the mother decide."
And he left. The moment he left Jalan mumbled quietly:
"Cosmica... Her name is Cosmica..."
"V-very well then! All hail crown princess Cosmica!" The servants bowed, but all Jalan could notice was the little bundle in her arms as she lovingly stroked the child's hair.
She would live not her own sake because she had lost any and all meaning in life, no for herself there was no meaning in living, she would live for the little bundle nuzzled to her chest - she would live for Cosmica.
Because king Astros had taken everything else from her and thanks to the damage he caused her body she wouldn't be able to marry and have another kid... And escaping back to her family was not an option because she refused to leave her baby girl.
So from that day forward, Jalan raised Cosmica with all of her energy even though she was not ready to be a mother. She would read mind books and regular books to her at night, teach her what she knew of the Hermin and Daluma techniques, and teach her different languages. Yes she was not the best parent but she tried her absolute best.
