Escape

Feed the flame eternal
and not the passing plane
for only spirit is never full
and alone it shall remain

The eyes inside
though they are blind
can see the prison
you have built
to hide away
your better heart
and run away
from the guilt

It calls the jailer
and begs for crumbs
Who are you now
What have you done?

Set free the love
you have forsaken
Return the life
your anger's taken

Why hide behind
a wall so thin?
built on stone
sinking in

Unlock the cell
Embrace the wind
Escape to places
you've never been

Jump the waves
of light unseen
and catch the tail
of comet dreams
