Beyond Beyond

Rest now weary travelers
This modern journey
nears its end

The flame you lit
Brought us here
and it is us you shall send

Hearts may break
like waves upon
the final shore

Yet you can have faith
for the days ahead
have great hope in store

Thank you for your courage
as you held the standard then
and all you gave to the cause
that you still defend

The sea is cold
and in its depth
a darkness calls

But one day
that same void
will gather us all

If there is light
beyond beyond
and a bottom we cannot see

Perhaps this great
and daunting age
shall carry us to eternity
