Ageless Shores

On principal the wings
strapped with force
and wrapped invisible
should lift the body
and gather no
earth bound weight

Yet they do
and carrying
far too much
They cannot
break free

Aged relics attached
to bitter hearts
by chains of comfort
offer little
to a forward life

Cast off comfort
for advancement
and eschew the
Artifacts of the past
if your heart
is to reach
