Q&A Round 1
More questions will be added later when I receive more and they'll be added into a new chapter that will be called Round 2 and then so on after that the more questions at once that I get.
How did I get the name and profile of graphic-hawk? (Question by: Spirit)
In college, we had to come up with a logo for ourselves and I created the very logo that is my profile pic. Then I started to try and come up with names for my social media and what I wanted people to know me by that seemed kinda cool. I thought of Graphic Falcon, Graphic Eagle or even my initials with something artsy. Then I thought of Graphic-hawk and I liked it. The hyphen is just there because someone else has the name without the hyphen.
Why something with birds? My grandmother adored birds and I loved my grandmother. Losing her was the hardest thing in my life but before she died, she always told me that she'd come back and be reincarnated as a bird.
What was your first story about? (Question by: Spirit)
I really don't remember my first story very well but I think it was a Harry Potter fanfiction and the main character was Harry Potter but as a girl and Voldemort had successfully taken over Hogwarts letting her live to make an example out of her in almost a peaceful manner? Sounds stupid and cheesy, I know but I was just starting out writing. It was in 2012 when I just got out of high school and since then, I have written 30+ various fanfictions.
Where do you want to be in the future?
I want to be a professional writer. I want to be able to animate and draw for a living and sell things on Etsy or whatever lol Mostly, I want to publish my original book I've been working on.
Who is your favorite YouTuber?
I have to say Markiplier. He was the first YouTuber I had ever watched and it was back in 2016. Also, his Nox Timore video was the first video I had ever watched on YouTube at all. He's just made me smile, laugh and cry every day since. Jacksepticeye is my second-favorite and I first found out about him through one of Markiplier's Prop Hunt vids 😊
What is your favorite Show or Anime?
Currently, Lucifer is my favorite show on Netflix. My favorite anime right now is My Hero Acadamia but my fav of ALL TIME is Naruto, as stupid as that sounds lol I've actually made several Naruto fanfictions as well as DBZ.
What are the main inspirations for your writings or drawing? (Question by: Ghoust)
My main inspirations are Jacksepticeye and Markiplier but they are more like muses if anything, I guess. I aspire to be the best I can be just like they do. They always do the best they can everyday and it's an inspiration to look up to. I've only gotten better and better at drawing because of that mindset.
What keeps you creating? (Question by: Ghoust)
Well, 2020 was a hard year where I was unemployed and thus I was filled with boredom. I was restless and needed to do anything and everything I could to fill that void. Writing and drawing and animating just kept me going so I wouldn't go insane. Back in the beginnings of that year, I was living in a 600 sq ft. apartment so it was even worse restlessness than I was ever used to. Now I'm living with my parents so the purpose of creating has changed a bit. I create so I have a reason to get away and have a spot in my mind to go to. It sounds a bit depressing but it's not ALL that either. What MAINLY keeps me creating is ALSO my inspiration and motivations to be the best version of myself that I can be. I hope that all makes sense lol
How do you build your scenes in writing? (Question by: Ghoust)
Honestly, I don't think about it too much. When I'm writing, my brain just GOES lol The hardest thing about writing is STARTING and that takes me a good while. When I get the first scene, however, the rest is never too hard for me. As for actually starting a scene, I look back at the last chapter and try and think what I want to happen next or what NEEDS to happen next. If I can't think of anything, I'll switch gears and make a small time skip to continue on to something different.
If I'm just starting a new story and thinking about the first scene, I'll generally start off with something either funny or a nightmare or I'll even try and start off with the villain's point of view and go from there.
What is your motivation or inspiration? (Question by: Salma_esam2005)
I am motivated to be the best version of myself that I can be and to do that, I have to keep practicing every day. That's another reason why I upload chapters so often. I'm inspired by Jacksepticeye and Markiplier because they have similar motivations.
What got you into writing? (Question by: ForgotTheBuddySystem)
I read a lot of books when I was younger. I'd read all the time and whenever I could. Particularly, I read a book series called 'Warriors' in middle school. It was a series about Warrior cats in the forest and technically it was a children's book but as you read it, you discover it most definitely wasn't a children's book. It contained politics, gore and violence and I think that's what really drove me in. The angst. But when I finished the series I then got into Harry Potter and that's when I started to write fanfiction, mostly with an OC character or the main character as a girl to add some spice idk lol Anyway, I couldn't stop writing after that and then I got more interested in different things like Anime such as Naruto and Dragon Ball Z. And then Twilight (sort of. I was in it just for the wolf effects, I swear). And now I'm into the YouTube fandom. I tell ya, it's been a wild ride so far haha.
Do you have any tips you want to share that you wish you knew when you started? (Question by: ForgotTheBuddySystem)
Something I wished I knew when I started- It doesn't matter what you write. Write it for yourself, not others. As long as you love it and put your passion into it, others will see that passion eventually and love it, too. The numbers don't matter and you can't continuously make it about the numbers or how many people see it. You have to be patient and just write or do whatever it is you love. If views is what you want, they will come eventually. Just give it some time and keep doing what you love.
How did you learn to do art and what got you into drawing? (Question by: FroggyUniverse)
The main thing you can do to learn art is to practice. Practice, Practice, Practice! There was a point in my life when I stopped drawing completely for a couple years and I had just gotten really rusty to the point that it took me months to get back to where I was in skill before. I've excelled since but practice is the main thing. You have to keep pushing yourself and keep trying to learn new things as much as you can that will help you along the way.
What got me INTO drawing was just how I was. I knew I wanted to be an artist when I was in elementary school. My parents tried convincing me at first that I wouldn't make money from it but in high school, I showed them how much Graphic Designers can make and then suddenly they were all for it lol Anyway, I was always an artist from the beginning and I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, really.
Did you go to college?
Yes, and I got my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design
Your Biggest Fear?
Being alone. Writing fanfictions has given me a community, though and funnily enough, I don't feel all that lonely anymore. Especially watching Markiplier and Jacksepticeye vids lol Also, I don't like spiders, snakes or thunderstorms.
How do you torture your audience? (Question by: Tezmaniara)
Angst is a very useful tool to stir things up. It can be used in various different ways. To get the best effects, I'll usually start off with a little fluff. Just a taste. And then I'll slowly draw out the sad backstory and mysteries to add some flavor to the angst. Then I'll add in some more fluff to give the reader hope. Then I'll usually kick things up into high gear with the angst which I've been told makes some readers cry. Then I end it on a soft gentle note of fluff and a happy ending to give the reader what they wanted in the end to make up for all the torment I put them through.
Do you think you'll make more fanfictions based on the CrankGamePlays egos? (Question by: VoidVivianite)
Honestly, I'm not sure. I watch Ethan sometimes but not enough to know any of his egos or how to write them. I wish I did as it would add some dimension to the stories but I'm not confident enough right now to give any of his characters justice in my writing. Same goes for the Sanders Sides, too.
Do you have any ego ships you support? (Question by: Gail171)
Here and there, I'll have a couple ships that I adore. If they're from the same 'family', it kind of weirds me out, though. For instance, AntiAverage (Chase and Anti) or AntiHero (Jackie and Anti). Or even Jackie and Marvin or Darkiplier and Wilford. If I do support any ships, it might be more along the lines of Darkiplier and Anti or Jackie and Eric or even Bing and Chase or Marvin and Host.
But more specifically, I prefer BROTHERLY or SISTERLY ships. There's just something about a great friendship or brotherly nature between all of the egos that I find sweet. Like Darkiplier acting like Anti's older brother. Or the Septic Egos bonding all together. Stuff like that, I support completely. Sorry to the hardcore shippers out there. You can ship whoever you want but I'm just sharing my opinion.
If anyone has anymore questions ABOUT the questions, please don't hesitate to ask if I haven't explained something thoroughly enough or if it doesn't make sense.
Write down questions in either the comments section of this story, through my Wattpad account somewhere, my Discord or even my Instagram at graphic_hawk.
Also let me know if you guys like how this book is going so far? Are my answers good enough? lol Anyway, I'll see most of you in my other books I have made! Have a good day! :D
