That feathery feeling

Assalamualaikum!

Okay today I've got an inspirational entry I guess.

Do you get those moments when you're heart feels heavy and you're just completely frustrated with yourself? And you're not even sure why? Yes?

Fear not, you're not alone.

Those are moments in life you just wanna tear yourself apart, scream your gut out or wish that the earth would swallow you whole. Even if the feeling is greater or lighter than that, it still is an ugly feeling. I'm telling ya, it sucks.

Which shucks most of the time is that sometimes you don't even know the reason you're frustrated with.

I know as Muslims we pray our daily Salah, Recite and go through the day. You know sometimes, even though you pray your Salah you still have that frustrated feeling? And that is what I wanna talk about.

You know why we feel that way?

It's because we pray just for the sake of praying. We take wudhu, take the prayer rug, lay it out, wear the prayer garb and the sock and we stand for prayer, go through all the stances of the prayer, mumble the Duas at the specific places, give salams, mumble a quick Dua, immediately fold the rug and dash out of the place.

It's almost robotic, if you think about it. Most of us are guilty of going through the following routine in daily basis, I am.

But Salah isn't something we do for the sake of it right? No. We pray so that we remind ourselves of Allah SWT. If we're gonna continue to stand as robots in front of our Creator, what exactly are we gonna attain from Salah?

I always think that just as we have relationships with human beings, we need to have a relationship with Allah SWT as well. We have to talk to him. We have to ask from him; not that hasty Dua you mumble before you pick up your prayer rug and dash out of the room.

What I think is Salah doesn't end with the salam. You have to go through that moment where you raise your hand and talk to Allah. Like he's your friend. And he is. He listens when nobody does. And he knows what's in our hearts when no one can understand. And unlike telling what you feel and want to human beings, this is actually different. Cuz you're speaking to Allah SWT!!

So you just have to pour your heart out to him. Pretty simple. Is it?

But sometimes when you think of doing it; confiding in Allah SWT, there's this laze that creeps in to you. Like should I really keep repeating what I want? Urr I feel so lazy -_-  I'm telling you I get this a LOT. It's hard. But it's no doubt Shaytaan's evil whispers.

All you got to do it, challenge him.  Take a deep breadth and ignore that feeling.

And what comes after that is pure bliss. Alhamdulillah. At first when you start you feel a bit lazy. Sometimes we're just so immersed in the materialistic world we forget what are true purpose in life is. But as you continue to talk to Allah you feel at complete ease. Because you know from deep within yourself, that you're talking to the Creator of the magnificent universe. And He has the power over anyone. It's just amazing you know.

And you know. The rest of the day goes so pleasant. *___*

That's how you can achieve feeling like a feather. Well for me it is.

Hope you benefitted from this. :)
