8 : The War Arrives

One wants peace. But it can't always be granted by fate. . . sometimes, you need to stand, you need to fight for it.

Steve, somehow, had predicted the war-The possible usage of two out of many dimensional seals, one in the Himis and the other on the southern borders and every other possibility. Presumably, through the vision, he once mentioned, he used to get.

The army of Thena, accompanied by half of the Eva elites, was requested to cover the place near the dimensional seal in the southern borders. While Eva members, with rest members of the Eva elites and the Lydian army, moved toward Ciria-the Lydian city on the borders of Himis where another seal existed.

Armadas, the massive flying battleships Lydians had never witnessed for more than a century, and vehicles, carrying arms, soldiers, and Eva members, moved. Ciria was cautiously evacuated under the story of safety reasons due to the made-up 'Great Himi Avalanche' possibility. The higher elites from Eva, led by Raya-the strongest and wisest elite-joined and were informed not to bring the war to Ciria, or Lydia.

War shall not move out of the mountains.

While Steve made sure William won't enter or even know about the war. The Duke and Steve, remained in the capital, for potential surprises that Ranks might have planned.

Eva members, with the Lydian army and machines, moved toward the Gates of Himi, the broad spacious passage between the two exactly vertical sides of the mountains. An area that resembles a massive gate, thus called the 'Gates of Himi.'

I still remember standing there on that almost flat floor of snow-covered mountain surface, remembering the Dimensional seal I once visited and the eerie, terrifying voice heard from the stone slate on the seal. The glorious, once considered sacred, mountains were soon to be remembered as a battle grounds.

Astharoth, accompanied by Lucifer, walked on the flat surface, like a thick layer of frozen water, a circular area carved with big triquetra, and in the center of it, stood the stone slate with ancient script. The seal, the pathway to possibly connect the conscious mind to the cosmos and connect the dimensions.

"How much time has it been?" Lucifer would say, looking at those massive humanoids, who once possessed the strength to annihilate entire nations, now ascended up with white, massive sword-shaped spikes, pierced through their bodies. His mind, partly impressed, partly feared at the strength of the being who was able to massacre these literal planet killers.

"You would have known," Astharoth said. "If you had ever walked out of that cave of yours after the previous war."

"How can you not understand, DeSadians were a minority in this reality and they still are."

"We are strong," Astharoth said. "Last time, we underestimated the strength the humans possessed and the way they'd use my S-R field waves. If we had summoned this DeSadian humanoid robot army in the previous uprising, by this time, our people would have lived freely in this world."

Both went quiet and kept walking toward the middle of the area, toward the stone slate.

"The slate once roared with voices," Astharoth revealed. "and these white, sword-shaped spikes appeared from the ground, didn't even give these massive humanoids enough time to resist, before massacring them. Good for us, now we don't have to take efforts to defeat these 'protectors' before using the seal."

"You say, the voices roared from the seal," Lucifer said. "What did the voices say?"

Astharoth'd pause for a moment, showing some signs of hesitation, and resistance before saying, "I could make out from the voices that, someone is not happy with these Vessels and the so-called divines, if they even exist."

Lucifer noticed the hesitation in Astharoth's tone and cut the subject off, nodding his head slightly. They proceeded toward the seal. Lucifer, for once, glanced back at the rest of the ranks, who stood outside the area and the triquetra design, waiting for their uprising to start so Valefor's wish could be realised.

"Even if you manifested that machine army of yours from your created dimension," he asked. "How will you teach them to follow our comrades, the ranks?"

"I created them, of course," Astharoth replied. "With just a thought, while manifesting them back, I can re-programme them to see the ranks as their leaders or masters."

Astharoth and Lucifer stopped as they reached the stone slate and glanced at the carving.

"Can you read it?"

Astharoth shook his head, gently.

"Guess not everything in this world is parallel to our reality."

"There're many things different, actually," Astharoth said, "These mountains, or anything which emitted a similar pure, divine aura to this place never existed in DeSadia. And, unlike us, this world doesn't know the real meaning or the concept of god, thus refuses its existence."

Astharoth glanced at Lucifer, "Touch the stone slate with open palms." he said. "I shall make us ascend, while you pour near-infinite energy into the slate at a single point of time, a window smaller than a single second, and help me connect this place with the same vibrations as that of our alternate dimension."

"Why do we have to ascend?"

"Cause the land will disappear for a lengthy moment."

Lucifer nodded and placed his open palms on the stone slate and Astharoth grabbed Lucifer's neck.

"Now."

The moment he said, manifesting the energy through the natural laylines, Lucifer channeled an extreme force of wave at a single point in time. Closing his eyes, finally grabbing the suitable vibrations through the seal, Lucifer forced his mind beyond the limits he had ever crossed, linking and connecting the reality with Astharoth's frequency and his one of the physical dimensions.

Their bodies ascended, using Astharoth's control over the natural energies, and the land below them-the entire circular place with the carved pattern-disappeared. As if a massive hole or opening on the surface.

Floating in the air with Lucifer, Astharoth said, "For the wish, my comrade, my friend once had to be realised. For your own people, for whose protection you were created and brought to this world. Ascend, my warriors and fighters, ascend and fight by their side, for the once glorious lands of DeSadia.

"Fight for your people. Fight for their freedom until this very reality is not terraformed and cleansed from these unworthy beings or until we are not the victors. Until our people are free again and can live without fear."

Following his words, the lands around rumbled, sending many waves of disturbance through the surface. Soon, many human-like machines emerged from the massive opening on the ground, as if robotic creatures, climbing up from the abyssal realm of hell. The mountains, glaciers, and the earth rumbled with pressure and the machines moved ahead.

~~

Mr. Yamato and I stood in the lead as we had already witnessed and knew the location of the seal and Himi. There was no way we could have headed to the Dimensional seal. The energy concentration in that place, I had experienced, was more than any ordinary human could bear during the fight. So, the plan was to move as close to the seal as possible, through the Gates of Himi so there's an equal surface area for both sides, so there would be enough room to stop them from reaching the Lydian borders.

As we walked, the air around us densed for a moment and the lands, and mountains, rumbled with a great magnitude, making some snow fall from the top. My, and I assumed most people's, bodies could feel the stronger, intense waves of disturbance flowing through the lands.

The war was here.

Soon the picture caught sight. . . thousands, if not hundred thousands, of mechanical, robot-like humans, humanoids emerged from the horizon of the mountains in front, like a sliver wave of Tsunami, moving with a force and a strength which could destroy the world.

"Warriors," Raya shouted, bravely with a strong voice. "The war is upon us. No matter how many they are, we shall fulfil our duties and fight for the people we love, people we care for. So our loved ones can be safe from evil. For humanity."

"For Lydia!"

The armies, too, shouted the same in response and moved ahead with us. The armies paced as the machines moved closer. People also descended from Armadas and ships, with their blades, joining the run toward the coming war, as if two waves of warriors from two realities marched fearlessly. For people, they care, for their respective civilizations.
