Now I know there's some people in the Purple family who seem to act so hostile towards new and or younger prince fans. I also want to point out that we shouldn't be mean to the newbies just because they weren't fans before April 21st, they most likely got hooked onto prince because they  simply wanted to and or they felt bad for not giving his music a chance and they wanted to help keep the legacy alive. It's the ones that act like they've been fans since the beginning of Prince's career when they probably started getting into his music like 6 months ago, I just wanted to clarify that.

When it comes to the younger generation like teenagers listening to Prince, they would sometimes get frowned upon and judged, perhaps they like prince because they were exposed to his music by the parents, friends, or they simply just discovered his music by themselves. I was born in the 90s and I remember the first song I've ever heard by him was Do Me Baby on the radio when I was 8 but I didn't become a fan until 2014 when I first saw Purple Rain.

If you're now starting to listen to Prince's music that's cool I'm not here to judge. The Purple Family just doesn't tolerate liars who front about being fans before April 21st.
