Sorry Greenie 😔
Vivi's POV
I can't believe it.
He looks almost exactly like Lloyd.
"WHERE IS HE?" Morro demanded to know, blowing harsh winds in our direction with every word.
"WHO?" Kai yelled back, as we struggled to hang on to the poor tree.
But seriously, it's a miracle that it hasn't been ripped out of the ground yet.
"WHERE'S WU!" He boomed, sending another huge wave of wind at us.
Ugh, enough of him.
"They're at the black woods forest,"
I said to him telepathically.
"Wu? Why would he want Wu?" Kai mumbled, turning to face me.
"WHY WOULD THEY GO THERE? YOUR LYING!"
"But we didn't say anyth-" Kai started, but I stopped him before he would reveal too much. I tapped my head, and he understood.
They were escaping YOU.
"I DONT TRUST YOU! WHERE ARE THEY REALLY AT!?" Morro screamed.
"Yeah, neither do we," Kai scoffed.
Ugh I'm done with Morro.
"HEY, LISTEN UP IDIOT! I'M TELLING THE TRUTH WHETHER YOU BELIEVE ME OR NOT! YOU CAN EITHER GO OVER THERE AND GET WHAT YOU WANT OR SCREAM AT US LIKE AN IMMATURE TODDLER!" I yelled back at Morro, causing him to stop using his power on us. Kai and I dropped down with a thud, along with everything surrounding us. The tree we were hanging onto before had been violently ripped out of the ground and tossed aside, as if it weighed nothing.
The atmosphere was completely silent, highlighting the sound of the soft breeze and chirping crickets around us.
Peaceful, for once.
Morro floated towards us, so his ghostly figure was more apparent in the moonlight.
"If you're lying," he started, sticking his index finger in my face, "I'll end you."
"Pfft, try me, wind man," I responded, unshaken.
He narrowed his eyes and looked straight into our souls, before spitting in a nearby patch of grass and floating away.
Once we were sure Morro was gone, Kai and I let out a sigh of relief.
"You know, you were pretty impressive out there," Kai complimented, his signature smirk at play.
"Thanks," I nodded, returning the look.
...And that's when it hit me.
"Hold on- " I facepalmed, "We were supposed to fight him."
"Ughh" Kai groaned, realizing as well. "HOW did we forget!?"
"I don't know, but at least we got him off track for awhile."
"Wait, you lied?" Kai asked, shocked.
A snickered, while Kai shook his head, smiling,
"Atta girl" He chuckled.
"So do you know where the ninja might've gone?" I questioned, laughing back.
"No, not really." He shrugged. "We could just walk around Ninjago city until we find them, they're probably there. Or they're at the old monastery."
"Monastery, huh?" I mumbled. "Okay, let's fly by the monastery first and then wander Ninjago city."
The fire ninja nodded in agreement, and we were soon on our way to the monastery via our elemental dragons.
These new dragons are dope.
"So, you and Lloyd seem pretty tight," I said, as we flew above the world below us.
"Yep. He's like a little brother to me. He...kinda reminds me of myself sometimes," Kai admitted.
"Is Nya nothing to you?" I joked, making Kai laugh.
"Is having two little siblings a crime?"
"Guess not," I chuckled.
I opened my mouth to speak again,
But stopped when I thought
I heard something.
Or rather, someone.
"These birds don't know when to shut up," Kai sighed, clearly hearing the noise as well.
"I don't think they're birds," I chuckled, scanning the area from above.
I stopped my dragon, bringing Kai's to a halt as well.
"Look down there," I pointed, acknowledging the people below.
Or should I say, the ninja below.
"It's them!" Kai exclaimed, turning to me with a smile.
I nodded, smiling back. We simultaneously snapped the dragons reins, ordering them to swoop down.
"Hey! GUYS!" Kai yelled, gaining the ninjas attention.
"Kai! Vivi! You're back!" Cole grinned, as our dragons feet hit the dirt and vanished.
"Yup," I smiled.
But that smile didn't last long. I mean nothing bad happened, it's just-
"Ack! Jay! AIR!" I gasped, suffocating from the tightness of my twin's hug.
Meanwhile, Kai was greeted with a simple pat on the shoulder and smile from Nya.
I know I just got back from not seeing Jay forever and all but- aww forget it I love this buffoon.
I quickly hugged my brother back, earning his approval to let me go.
I took in the sweet oxygen, letting it radiate off my lungs.
"...So how did the Morro situation unravel?" Zane questioned.
"Uhhhhh" Kai started, looking at me from the corner of his eye.
"It went greeeeat! Haha..." I laughed sarcastically.
"So it went terribly, got it," Cole nodded.
"How strong is he?" Nya asked.
"Pretty strong. Very, actually. He kinda ripped a tree out of the ground..." I answered, scratching the back of my neck.
Kai sighed, lowering his head in disappointment.
Shame.
"I mean ripping a tree out of the ground isn't that hard," Cole shrugged, using his earthly powers to uproot a nearby tree.
Man, I feel real bad for the vegetation around here.
"Tch, try doing that with air. Much harder," Kai pointed out.
"Yeah I guess that's true," Cole agreed with a sigh.
"Well the good news is" I started, as all eyes shifted to me, "Morro isn't here. We led him on a wild goose chase."
"Well that is beneficial," Zane nodded. "We should get to Sensei and the others now. Forming a plan would seem to be the best way to go about this situation."
"Yeah and we better hurry, Vivi's life is in danger." Kai suddenly remembered, now eager to leave the area.
"HER LIFE IS IN DANGER?!? KAI I TOLD Y-" Jay started, only to get cut off by me.
"Chill Jay, Kai didn't do anything. This one's on me" I confessed.
"Well I wouldn't say I didn't do anything..." Kai added.
Nya rolled her eyes at her sibling, "Anyway, lets get going."
We nodded and hurriedly made our way to...actually I have no idea.
"Uh hey guys, where are we going?" I asked, my feet still moving in sync with the others.
"We're heading to the old monastery. We told Sensei and Misako to take the bounty and meet us there. We decided to walk in case we happen to run into you two." Zane informed us.
"Oh, okay." I nodded.
"We should form a plan on the way there," Nya suggested, turning to walk backwards so she could face us.
"Hmmm" Jay muttered, deep in thought.
"Let's just get to Sensei first, he's the wise one" he finally concluded.
Wow Jay, greatest plan ever. Bravo.
"You know we can't rely on Sensei for everything right?" Nya said.
"Yup." My brother simply shrugged, stretching out his arms.
He really doesn't know how dangerous Morro is.
"Listen bro, hate to break it to you, but Morrow is pretty powerful. He could easily take us down if we're not careful." I warned.
"Pfft, how bad could he be? You two survived," he scoffed.
Jeez, what's gotten into him? He'd usually be freaking out by now.
"Ok, we need to talk later," I announced, shaking my head at my twins stupidity.
"But seriously Jay, she's right. We need to speed up." Kai said, taking my side.
Well, everyone's side besides Jay's I'd say.
"Oh come on! He can't be that bad! All he does is move air! AIR!!!" The lightning ninja countered, exaggerating his words with his hands.
"Ok, something's wrong with him" Cole whispered to me, eyeing Jay from next to me.
"Ha, tell me 'bout it" I agreed.
We finally stopped at the foot of a mountain.
A very steep mountain.
Or hill, rather.
Actually, I don't know what it is.
I tilted my head up to gaze at the peak, though I couldn't see it. A few clouds blocked the top of the rocky monument, like hot air fogging up a mirror.
The bushes around the bottom were lush and green, and the rock that made up the mountain itself were hard, but crumbly.
"So, the monastery is up there?" I asked, my eyes still upon the obstacle in front of us.
"Yup" Cole responded, rubbing his hands excitedly.
I averted my gaze to him with a questioning look on my face. "You seem excited."
"Of course he is. Earth boy loves his earth," Kai chuckled, as Cole rolled his eyes at the red ninja.
"Yeah yeah, I'm not climbing it." Jay stubbornly refused, backing away from the rest of us.
Ugh, what's wrong with him?
Actually this is pretty normal for Jay, but why is he being so...difficult?
Actually, that's also normal for Jay.
"Ok Jay, what's your problem today?" I finally asked, annoyance clearly written all over my face.
"Heh? What do you mean? All I said was I don't want to climb!" He answered, raising an eyebrow and crossing his arms.
"Vivi has a valid point, Jay. You have been quite the handful lately," Zane agreed, nodding.
"Well I'm SORRY for being ANNOYING!" He yelled, silencing everything and everyone around him.
Yikes.
We stood almost obediently, in complete quietness.
"Come on Jay, let's ride up on your dragon together," Nya finally offered as she walked away to a secluded edge of the big rock.
My brother nodded, and followed her.
Leaving us, in a very awkward silence.
Thanks again Jay, really appreciate it.
"Well...should we start climbing?" Cole asked as they left.
"...Yeah" Kai nodded, grabbing the edge of a natural handhold.
"See you at the top!" Zane laughed, using his ice to quickly build a bridge to the top.
Wait, why didn't I think of that???
"Dang we're STUPID!" I face-palmed, lifting both Kai and Cole off the ground.
"No, Zane's just smart." Kai retorted, while Cole pouted.
"Hey Cole, you can climb if you want to you know," I called out to him, noticing his sudden change of expression. His pout quickly changed to a happy smile. "I have to climb anyway."
"Wait, why do you have to climb? Can't you just lift yourself up?" He questioned, as I floated him back down.
I shook my head in response, waiting until Cole had a good hold of himself on a rock before releasing him from my minds grasp. "I've tried, but I just can't seem to lift myself. I can lift literally anything else though, as long as it isn't too heavy."
"Oh man, that sucks," Kai replied, comfortably hovering above me as Cole and I slowly ascended the rocky challenge.
"Hey, I get why you enjoy climbing now Cole. It's pretty fun! Great change from Soccer" I commented, scanning above me for a handhold.
Cole paused to look down at me from above me.
Of course he's above me.
My competitiveness cannot handle this.
"Yeah, I know right," he smiled.
"Wait, you played soccer?" Kai asked. "Also can you loosen the grip a bit? My arm hurts."
"You wanna fall and die?" I said, while letting out a hot breath of air.
This is tiring.
"No ma'am" the fire ninja chuckled, as I secretly tightened my hold on him. "Anyway, yeah I played Soccer. Whenever my dad wasn't working and was actually home, we played together. He taught me. Our dads both played together remember? We used to play together too."
"Yeah I remember! Man those days were great," Kai grinned.
"Wait, what do you mean you two played together?" Cole questioned, raising an eyebrow.
Kai and I glanced at each other before he answered, "Vivi and I knew each other when we were kids. Before my parents disappeared and after she was adopted. Our dads have been friends since they were little so they got us to be friends too," he smiled, as Coles face visibly darkened.
"Oh," he simply said, shrugging with one arm while hanging off the other. Immediately after, he turned back to the rock and kept climbing.
"What's up with him?" I turned to Kai, noting how quick he was the end the discussion.
He tensed up at the question, even through my hold on him. "Uhhh...well- it's complicated" he finally spat out.
"Isn't everything?" I sighed, causing the red ninja to chuckle for about the millionth time today.

Cole's POV
I can't believe it.
They...they knew each other before?!?
Great, time to add another chapter to Cole's failed love life.
I grunted once I reached the top of the ginormous stone, pushing myself up to where I could sit.
"Hey Cole!" Nya chirped, taking a seat just a few feet away from me.
"Hi" I sighed, turning up to the sky.
It's late afternoon by now, and the sky is starting to darken.
Barely, but it is noticeable.
I can see the moon now, though half of it is shadowed by the clouds framing it.
"What's wrong?" Jay asked, sitting down very close to Nya...
Ha, of course Jay would.
I aimed a raised eyebrow towards him, noticeably darting my eyes from him to her.
A blush creeped its way up Jays cheeks, as he harshly moved his hand from one side of his neck to the other, signaling me to stop.
Honestly, after getting over Nya, I really do ship these two.
"Nothing's wrong. I'm just tired" I fake yawned, spreading my upper body out of the earthy floor beneath me.
Like I was building a snow angel, but with soil.
"I can sense that you are disappointed" Zane noted, bending down to look at my face.
"Shut it Zane" I groaned, tossing a random pebble at him.
He quickly dusted off the area I hit before walking into the monastery behind him.
"AYE WE MADE IT! I'M KING OF THE MOUNTAIN!" Kai yelled as him and Vivi emerged from below the surface of the mountain.
Shooting daggers at him, Vivi released her hold on him sending him crashing down, before throwing herself onto the solid ground.
"Why was that so tiring?" She groaned, pushing herself up to where she was sitting.
Kai held out his hand for her, helping her up the rest of the way.
She smiled.
"Thanks Kai."
A/N
Hey guys! Thanks for reading :)
IM SO SORRY FOR BEING THIS LATEEEE :(
My other book that I'm currently writing
(not a fanfiction , but you should totally check it out! I have several ninjago fanfics coming out later once I finish this one)
Has a really long chapter which I had to write (over 4,000 words), which usually I would be able to finish but I had a boatload of homework and stuff.
I have covers made for future Ninjago fanfics for each ninja (Ninjago x OC), minus Zane (he's my least favorite, sorry to all you Zane-stans) and Nya though I don't have a problem with her. So my question to you guys is: which ninjas book should I start first since I finish this one?
-Kai
-Cole
-Jay
-Lloyd
Anyway, I'm really sorry!
See you next week!
