Vivi's POV

"Huh?" 

"My parents. Did you know them?" Kai asked, his voice dripping with seriousness.

"Maya and Ray? Yeah I do. Why?" I responded, turning away from Nya to face him.

"Seriously? How!?"

"This is gonna take awhile," I sighed, inviting him in the room. He sat down next to Nya, on her bed.

"She knew mom and dad?" Nya whispered to her brother.

He nodded, whispering back. "Jay told me. She lived near the old Blacksmiths shop."

I cleared my throat, signaling to them that I was still in the room. After getting their attention I started talking.

"Your dad and my dad were friends when they were kids. They would always play soccer together and they were neighbors. Even after growing up they stayed best friends. I was adopted, I think Kai was a four year old. I had no idea that Maya and Ray were your parents, so that means..."

"We knew each other before! You were that girl!" Kai realized.

"Yeah," I nodded, smiling.

When I was little, Ray and Maya came to visit all the time. Maya was pregnant with Nya, and Kai and I played together all the time. We moved not long after we met though, to a bigger rice farm. The Smith's work got hectic after that, and we couldn't visit each other anymore.    

"Maya was a really calm and sweet woman, while your dad was just the opposite. He was wild, adventures and hotheaded, just like you Kai. I don't remember them that well, Only from stories my parents tell me, But Nya, you do remind me of your mom. A lot actually."

Her eyes lit up at that. "Really?"

I nodded. "As calm and sweet as she was, she was wild. She was respected and taught everyone that even though she was a woman, she could kick butt just as well as any man."

Nya smiled to herself, and I continued.

"Awhile after I moved, and the blacksmith's shop required a lot of work at the time. We stopped our frequent visits and then your parents just disappeared one day. My dad was devastated to lose his best friend. His dream was to be a soccer player, but he couldn't go through with it without Ray by his side supporting him. Now he's a business man."

"Wow," The siblings said in unison.

"I can't believe you knew me before!" Kai smiled.

"Yeah, I know right?" I nodded.

"GUYS, DINNERS READY!" Cole shouted. All three of us flinched at his voice, not expecting it at all.

I recovered rather quickly.

"Yessss food!" I cheered, ready for food. Kai chuckled, whilst Nya smiled.

The three of us walked down a corridor. "So who's turn was it to cook?" Nya asked.

"Zane thank goodness," Kai answered, relieved.

"Ooo is he a good cook?" I asked.

"He's the best! Unlike Cole, he SUCKS at cooking. The guy can't even make eggs." Kai snorted.

"Oh come on, he can't be that bad."

"Wait till tomorrow, that's his day," Nya warned.

Well, okay then.

We made our way to the dining area, And I'm not exaggerating when I say I was shocked.

SHOOK.

On the table in front of us was an assortment of tons of different types of sushi, spicy noodles, and salad, dim sum, and chocolate cake.

Oh my gosh, is this heaven?

"Whoa"

An array of chuckles filled the room, as I stared at the food in front of me.

Jay and Lloyd were already seated, and Cole was right next to the cake. Like, he couldn't get any closer to it without touching it. He stared at it like it was the most important thing in the word, and honestly, it was adorable.

Kai, Nya and I sat down as well. We had made a pit stop near the corridor to wash our hands, so they were already washed.

"Wow Zane, this looks amazing," Misako complimented, walking in with Garmadon.

"Thank you very much," Zane smiled.

"Yes, very well done student," Sensei agreed, taking a seat with the rest of us.

We soon dug in, finishing the food within minutes. Finally, it was time for dessert.

Cake.

"YES! CAKE!" Cole cheered. We laughed, grabbing our slices that Zane had cut for us. Man, this nindroid is amazing. Love him already.

The cake was delicious. It was moist, deliciously dense, and the dark chocolate accenting the sweeter milk chocolate was amazing. Don't even get me started on the buttercream. The creaminess was unbelievable, it was rich, yet super light and fluffy. I don't even know how that possible.

"How the heck do you cook and bake so well?!" I questioned, stuffing the last of the cake into my mouth.

"Well, being a nindroid, messing up is not in my programming," Zane explained.

~THE NEXT DAY~

"You ready?" Lloyd asked me.

It was really early in the morning, and the sun's rays were barely shining through the dojo window.

Yeah, the bounty has its own dojo. This place is SICK.

A smirk plastered itself on my face. "I was born ready" I replied, cracking my knuckles.

Lloyd shot me a mischievous look, before running towards me with an energy ball in the process of forming in his hands.

I waited for him to get close, before swiftly dodging right before he could release the glowing green orb. Then, I kicked his back, and used the momentum to throw him on the ground. Once he was down, I fired my own orbs or condensed psychic energy at him, before he ran behind me.

I turned around the hit him again, but he was gone.

"Heads up!" A voice shouted, before lloyd skillfully knocked me down and was standing on my back. He had pinned me down into a position I couldn't get out of.

But I could get him off me.

I turned my hand upwards and activated my protective bubble-shield, causing him to get violently thrown off me. He was dizzy for a few moments, and those few moments were all it took for me to pin him down, jump up, fire an orb at him, and land on his back right where the orb hit.

Double hit.

He waved his hand from underneath me, signaling that he'd had enough. I hopped off him and lent him a hand getting up.

"Well, that was fun!" I clapped, whilst Lloyd Groaned in pain.

"You really had to hit the same spot twice?" He asked, gently rubbing the area I attacked.

"I mean, how else am I supposed to beat you? I'm literally known as almost as good as you?" I chuckled.

"Yeah, yeah" he smiled, as we walked out of the training dojo and down a hallway to wake everyone up.

"You get the boys, I'll get Nya?" I suggested.

Lloyd nodded, and went the opposite direction of me to wake the guys up.

"NYA! RISE AND SHINE GIRL!" I called out, opening the door to our room.

"Aghhh you're a morning person?" She groaned, leaning up and rubbing her eyes.

"Yup!" I said cheerfully.

She groaned again, before finally getting off the bed. After making the bed, she walked out to brush her teeth, patting my shoulder on the way out.

I walked back down the hallway to where Lloyd went. He's probably going to need helping getting the boys up.

"LLOYD GO AWAYYY!" A voice yelled, probably Cole. I knocked on the door, waiting for a response, but my knock was drowned out by a kind of thumping noise. I shrugged and opened the door, only to be greeted by Lloyd, who fell at my feet. A pile of pillows fell after him. Pffft, looks like he was being bombarded.

"Help?" Lloyd asked.

I laughed, but nodded in obligation.

"BOYS GET UP!" I yelled at the three sleepyheads. Unlike the others, Zane woke up. Good for him, he won't have to be woken up by me.

"Hey Cole, I saw cake in the gaming room. It was chocolateeeee~" I sang. Little did he know, I'd never been to the game room. Heck, I don't even know where it is!
"Kai, there's a swarm of girls waiting for you too, and if you don't get up, I'm going to call Skylor." I continued.
And lastly, Jay.

Oh boy, this'll be fun.

"JAY GET UP QUICK! THERES A BABOON RIGHT NEXT TO YOU! AND ITS SISTER BABOON IS AFTER NYA!"

The three boys shot up immediately.
"Cake? Girls- BABOONS?!?" They screamed.

I burst out laughing with Lloyd, while the boys realized what had really happened.

"Waaaaait a second? Do you even know where the gaming room is?" Cole asked.
"And we're in the air! How could any girls get in here? Though, I bet they found a way, it's me they're coming for after all," kai smirked.

Jay on the other hand, wasn't as sharp.

"BABOOOOON! WHERE IS IT! WHERE IS THE VILE BEAST?" He shrieked, making me and Lloyd laugh even harder.

Man, I'm amazing.

"Jay you dimwit, there is no Baboon! She played us!" Cole facepalmed.

"HOW CAN YOU BE SO SURE, HMM?" Jay rebutted, while Kai threw a pillow at him.

The three boys finally got up, allowing Lloyd and I to leave the room.

Lloyd led me to the main/meeting room, a room filled with computers and buttons.

"Morning Vivi, Lloyd." Nya smiled.

"Mornin," we said in unison.

The giant screens in the room took up most of the top half of the walls, and were lit up with maps, tracking systems, cameras, alarms, anything a team of ninjas could need. I leaned on the table in the middle, watching Nya do her thing. She's a tech and mechanic type of girl, just like Jay.

After a few minutes, the boys walked in, dressed in their respective ninja gi's. I was wearing mine too, the new purple one I received from Sensei yesterday.

"Cole, food" Lloyd reminded him, motioning towards the kitchen.

An array of groans and grumbles filled the room. "Oh come on! I'm not that bad of a chef" Cole argued.
"Uh, I can help if you want?" I offered.
Cole nodded, and everyone looked at me with a sigh of relief.
"You're my new savior" Kai whispered. I chuckled, and followed Cole to the kitchen.

Kai's POV
WHY CANT I EVER GET A MINUTE ALONE WITH HER BUT THAT BOLDER BRAIN ALWAYS MANAGES TO-

Cole's POV

"Okay, so what are we making?" Vivi asked once we got to the kitchen.
"I don't know. Muffins?" I suggested.

That trick she pulled on us to wake us up really got me in the mood for cake. Even though a muffin isn't really cake, it's too dry.

"Sure." She agreed, and opened up the refrigerator. "We have tons of blueberries, so blueberry muffins I guess. I've made these tons of times before, so I'll walk you through it."

I nodded, and we began.
"Okay, first, get flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Oh, and a bowl. Point me in the direction of the measuring cups?" Vivi instructed.
"Drawer behind you," I replied, and came back a minute later with everything she had asked for.

"First, you measure out the ingredients. We start with flour, so add 1 1/2 cups of flour into the bowl."
She handed me the measuring cups and told me where to fill it to.
"There." I said when I had finished. I did get a little flour here and there, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Vivi didn't seem to mind.

"Next, add 3/4 cup of sugar." She said, giving me the same amount of instructions as before.
I nodded, and started reaching for what I thought was the sugar.

But nope.

"WAIT! No that's salt!" Vivi warned.
"Huh? OOPS! Sorry," I nervously laughed, and got the sugar from behind the salt. The classic Cole laugh, the guys called it. I successfully added that in too, just a tad too much according to Vivi. But again, she didn't mind.

"Now salt. Add half a teaspoon of salt. Add the baking soda too while you're at it."

~AFTER LOTS MORE EXPLAINING AND CORRECTED MISTAKES~

"I did it!" I exclaimed, watching the muffins bake in the oven.

"Yup! Good job!" Vivi congratulated with a giggle.

I stared at my babies in the oven, before turning to her.

"Hey, thanks for helping me Vivi," I smiled turning around. "To be honest, I probably would've burned the whole Destiny's Bounty down without you."

She laughed, "Well, glad I could help. That was fun."

I nodded, and returning my gaze to the growing dry-cakes.

At that moment; the rest of the guys came in. And Nya.

"Well, this smells delightful," Zane noted.

"Yeah, he did a pretty good job." Vivi smiled.

"Whoa there big guy, no need to stalk the food." Kai joked.

I rolled my eyes, but moved out of the way so everyone could see them.

"Wow that actually doesn't look bad," Kai admitted.
I look of pride washed over me. I FINALLY cooked something without giving anyone food poisoning! Well, assuming these won't...

Soon, the muffins were done. I took them out and attempted to eat one right away, but Vivi made me wait for them to cool down first.

When she finally said I could have one, I snarfed it's down within seconds. It was actually pretty ok! YESSSSS!

"Wow, Vivi you need to help him everytime he cooks. All of us have tried teaching him but it never works out," Nya said.

"Sure. I don't mind, it's kinda fun," Vivi shrugged.

"Are you a ninja or magician?" Lloyd snickered.
We broke out into laughter, but were soon interrupted by Misako and Sensei Wu rushing into the kitchen.

"Lloyd, we have a urgent request for you at the Museum." She said. "Wow, this smells quite delectable."

"Oh yeah, Vivi helped Cole cook. Just him or anyone else?" Kai hoped.

"Just Lloyd and Vivi, since Vivi must accompany Lloyd on every mission." Wu confirmed.

"Aw come on! They get to go kick some butt while we just sit here?" Jay complained.

"Well, we night not kick any butt at all, it may be a different issue" Lloyd explained. "But let's go. Ready?" He turned to Vivi.

She nodded.

But little did we know...

...That only Vivi would come back.
