Finding Nya 🧭

Kai's POV

Cole and I silently made out way out of the building, carful not to wake anyone up.

Finally, we made it outside.

"Took you guys long enough!"

"AHHHH! Who's there!" I shouted, my hand on fire, ready to fight.

"Whoa! Calm down, it's just me!" A voice squeaked.

Ah.

Jay.

Great, I get to deal with this idiot.

"Oh, it's just you" Cole said, relieved. I put out my flaming hand, causing the whole island to turn pitch black, so I lit it up again.

"Why are you here? Is Vivi okay alone up there?" I asked.

He just got his sister back, I doubt he would leave her alone. I mean, if Nya and I were separated for as long as they were, I wouldn't leave her side for anything. I already lost my parents, I'm not going to lose Nya too. I'm tired of seeing everyone I love disappear.

"Vivi is alone, but she'll be fine. Trust me, you'd be surprised by how strong she is!." he said proudly. "And I'm here to save Nya!"

"Oh, you remembered too?" Cole asked.

"Well, duh! Now that we're not fighting over her anymore, I can't get my mind off her!" Jay said, dreamily.

Oh no, he didn't.

"Don't you get your filthy self anywhere NEAR my sister Zap-trap!" I snapped, making both Cole and Jay Flinch.

"Jeez! Why the sudden attitude? And I'll get away from Nya when you get away from my sister!" Jay shot back at me.

"What do you have against Vivi and I hanging out?" I asked, anger evident in my voice.

"Well, if she falls in love with you like every other girl does, Your just gonna break her heart! And you and I both know that you never just hang out with a girl!"

"Uh, guys?" A voice asked, but we ignored it.

"Ugh! Why is that all you guys see me as? A flirt? A player? I'm not always like that! I can be a modest person too!" I argued. At this point, a sharp pain pierced through my head. I Winced, fighting the urge to hold my head. I withstood the pain. Can't mess up the hair.

Jay snorted. "Modest! Yeah, right. You wish! Your pretty much the opposite!"

"Ugh! GUYS! NYA! Remember?" Cole yelled, putting a hand on each of our shoulders.

"Oh my god, you're right!" I said. I can't believe I forgot my sister again!

"Poor Nya! I really hope she's-"

"Alright?" A  feminine voice finished Jay's sentence.

All three of us spun around, to find Nya casually leaning on a tree.

"'Sup, boys? Thanks for coming for me, really appreciate it." She joked, walking over to us.

" Nya!" Jay squealed, while I glared at him and Cole rolled his eyes.

"Hi, Nya. Sorry, we're kinda late. We uh... got a bit distracted." Cole apologized.

"Distracted? By what, a bush?" She scoffed sarcastically. "And what was that whole argument about?"

"Oh, shoot! How much did you hear?" Jay asked nervously.

"From the part where Kai called himself modest to the end." My sister answered, while Jay sighed in relief.

"Okay, so basically, I have a twin sister, and I haven't seen her since my parents adopted me, but she found us! And she's actually in my room sleeping right now, and by the way you hair looks nice, but anyway about my twin, she's-"

"Whoa, whoa, what?" Nya questioned. "Slow down, Jay!"

I groaned impatiently. "Long story short, Jay has a twin sister, she is almost as strong as Lloyd, she's the purple ninja, ultimate guardian, sidekick, and almost equal of the green ninja, and she's gonna be living with us from now on." I explained. "Oh, and she's hot."

I could practically feel Jay's eyes burning into my back. Cole shifted uncomfortably, running a hand through his shaggy dark hair. Heh, I love putting them on edge.

"Huh?" She finally said, lifting an eyebrow.

"Uh, we'll explain tomorrow. Let's get some sleep before the sun comes up." Cole ordered, sighing.

We only had a few hours until the sun would rise, before it peaked through the treetops, pushing the night sky above it out of the frame.

We made our way back into our rooms, yawning. Nya crashed at Skylor's since it was empty and right next to my room.

Once I got into my room, I plopped down on my bed. I was exhausted from everything that had happened today.

Today, a girl broke my heart.

She beat me at my own game.

But somehow, I felt happier than I ever had in awhile.

~A COUPLE HOURS LATER~

Vivi's POV

Jay's gone.

Again.

I frantically searched the room, but he wasn't anywhere.

I sat down on his bed, anxious, and worried about him. I stared at my thumbs, not noticing I was twiddling them in anticipation. I was still in my dark jeans, though my sweatshirt was now in a heap on the bed next to me, leaving me in a gray tank top.

Finally, he came in through the door.

"Jay!" I cried, running over to him.

"Vivi? Your awake?" He asked, confused.

"Looks like it." I answered, chuckling.

"But why? The sun won't come up for an hour!" He argued.

I shrugged."I dunno, just used to it I guess."

"Your used to waking up at 5:36 in the morning?"

Huh. He didn't look convinced.

"Uh, yeah? Back home, I had to wake up really early so I could train without anyone noticing. Everyone in the village would've freaked out if they found out a psychic girl was living there."

"My poor sister." Jay announced, shaking his head.

Laughing, I looked out the window. It was still fairly dark, though the bottom of the sky was turning a hue of gold. Turning my head back to my motor-mouth twin, I sat on the bed next to him.

"So, where were you? I was really worried you know." I asked.

The blue ninja shot a caring smile at me before answering. "We went out to find Kai's sister, Nya. We kinda forgot about her after the whole thing with Cole."

"When was that?"

"Like, three hours ago. We found her within ten minutes, though." He responded.

"Then why did you come in just now?" I asked, suspicious. Jay was gone most of my life, and I know he would come back to me as fast as possible. He was very overprotective over anyone he loved.

"Uhhhh... well I was kinda talking to Nya..." he scratched his head, his voice an octave higher than normal.

"You spent two hours talking to a girl!? Spill." I ordered, intrigued.

"I will! Promise, but can it wait till morning? I'm a little tired."He yawned, rubbing his eye.

"Oh, right! Sorry, I'll let you get your sleep. I'm gonna go train though."

"Mkay." He nodded, throwing himself on the soft blue sheets, out within minutes.

I shook my head, smiling. He hadn't changed a bit. Walking over to his bed, I properly tucked him in, ruffling his auburn hair. "Sleep well, big brother."

"Big brother?"

"Huh...?" I turned around to find Lloyd Standing in the doorway.

"You said big brother. I though you two were twins." He explained, looking at me weirdly.

"Oh, we are." I answered, pulling my carelessly tossed sweatshirt back over my gray tank top. "He was born ten minutes earlier."

"Got it." He said, still standing there. An awkward silence hung in the air.

"So...green ninja, huh?" I said in an attempt to clear the air. If we were gonna be almost equals, might as well get to know each other.

"Yup." He nodded, popping the P. "So, why are you up so early? Don't you need your beauty sleep?" He asked.

I mentally groaned, and faced him. "Well, I always get up around this time." I started, pulling on my shoes. "And I'm more knight than princess anyway, so let me know when you need saving." I chuckled.

Lloyd smiled and walked over to me, sitting down on the ground next to me. He looked away from me, tapping his finger on the ground. I chuckled inside. Guess he's a shy one.

"So why are you up this early?" I asked, tying my right shoe before getting up.

"Sometimes, I just wake up this early to prank the others, and uh... yeah." He said shrugging.

"Seriously?! Okay, we have to prank together next time." I said eagerly. "I need to make up for all the years I wasn't around to annoy Jay."

He grinned at me. "You know, I was suspicious of you at first Vi." He started, getting up after me. "But you're alright."

"Just alright?" I tease. "And vi?"

"Cocky much?" He laughed. "Well, yeah, I like it better than Vivi. Also, can I train with you?"

"Sure thing greenie." I respond, walking out the room. I suddenly stop, causing Lloyd to look back at me confused.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Uhhh, I don't know how to get out of here." I laughed dryly.

"Ah, just follow me." Lloyd instructed.

I nodded as he led us out.

We finally found ourselves in a clearing a few meters away from the other's rooms in the tournament building, or whatever it was.

"Come at me." Lloyd commanded, holding his hands up defensively.

I ran towards him, launching off of a stray tree to get above him. I kicked him in the shoulder, at the same time using it as a surface to jump off of. He came running at me, about to strike me in the gut. I quickly teleported away before he made contact, his hand slamming into another tree instead. To my surprise, a fairly sized crack formed on it. Yikes. He rubbed his fists, turning to face me.

"Not bad, but can you keep it up?" He was intimidating, that's for sure. "Let's find out." I said confidently. I loved a good challenge. He threw multiple golden orbs at me, and I dodged as much as I could, finally being hit by three of them. Wincing, I got up, smiling. "You're not the only one who can shoot things." I say, sending my own purple orbs flying towards him. He avoided them by climbing a tree, hanging from a branch. He jumped down, now speeding towards me as a mini green tornado. I held up my hand in front to me, forming a Protective bubble around me. It blocked him at first, but soon he broke through, sending me soaring right into a tree.

"Arghh." I groaned, rubbing my back.

"That was good training." Lloyd stated, offering me a hand. I gladly took him up on his offer, using his hand to get back on my feet. "Sure was, it was nice training with someone for a change." I said. "Oh, and one more thing."

Lloyd raised an eyebrow at me. "What?"

"Never turn your back on an opponent!" I hollered, slinging his arm over my back, and the next thing he knew, he was sprawled on the floor behind me.

"Oh, so we're doing that now?" A mischievous grin formed on his face as he started chasing me. I took off running towards Chen's building. He soon caught up to me, tackling me to the ground. We laughed as he got off me.

"Let's actually go in now." He said, and I nodded in agreement.

Talking about possible pranks, we ran into Zane in the halls.

"Greetings Lloyd, Vivian." He said.

"Hi, Zane." Lloyd greeted.

"Morning, Zane." I waved. "You know you can just call me Vivi, right?"

"I prefer Vivian, if that's alright." he politely answered.

"If that's what you want."

"Great! Also, do you mind waking Jay up? I'll wake up the others." he asked.

Lloyd and I immediately looked at each other, the same mischievous look on our faces.

"Gladly."
