Kai's POV

I can't believe I'm actually doing this.

Ughh, curse my soft spot for Vivi.

Though, I still can't get what she said out of my head.

I care about you.

She... she cares about me. Just the thought of it puts a smile on my face. I care about her too, and I wish I could've told her.

But here I am. About to talk to a person I despise.

Well, I want to despise her, but something is holding me back. I have no idea what, but I hate it.

Once Skylor and I were out of earshot, she started talking.

"Look, Kai, I'm sorry." She started.

"Yeah, so I've heard." I grumbled.

"Please Kai, forgive me. I always thought that if I didn't obey my father, I would be a bad daughter. I thought it was my duty to do as he says, it's how I was raised. I love my dad, and I would've done anything for him." She pleaded.

"But now I see the truth. He would do anything to get what he wants. Even sacrifice me. He doesn't love me, he never did. He's a selfish idiot."

I could tell she was holding back tears, mostly from my own experiences.

I do feel sorry for her, though. I mean, if Chen was my father, I would've left him myself.

I sighed, leaning onto the tree we were standing by. "So why are you telling me? You spied on all of us! Everyone else deserves an apology too!" I cried. "So why me?"

She took a step closer to me, gazing into my amber eyes. "Because...I love you." She whispered.

And before I could say anything, her lips were on mine.

Cole's POV

"Well, looks like that went well." I pointed out, nodding towards Kai and Skylor, who were now kissing.

Kai stiffened at first, but now he seemed well into it.

"Oh ewwww" Lloyd turned away in disgust, earning a chuckle from the rest of us.

"Is he always that quick to forgive people? I figured he'd be the type to hold a grudge" Vivi asked.

"Yeah, something's up." Nya agreed.

"I don't know, seems genuine to me." Jay shrugged.

He's probably just happy Kai isn't kissing Vivi, and for the record, so am I.

"Whatever, they're good now, that's all that matters. Still, we should keep an eye on Skylor." Nya suggested.

We nodded in agreement, waiting for the two lovebirds to come back.

We stood in an awkward silence for awhile, before they finally did.

"Is everyone here? Are we ready to go?" Zane asked.

We took a quick head count, to make sure everyone was accounted for. After making sure everyone was here, Vivi picked up Chen and we started making our way towards a cliff near the shore of the island.

When we got there, I couldn't help but admire it. The sky was clear, without a cloud in the sky. The air was fresh, and carried the ocean breeze. The trees and shrubs behind us perfectly framed the area, and the soft hum of insects and other creatures added a great tone to it all.

"How do we get back to Ninjago if there aren't any boats or ships?" Zane asked.

Oh. Right.

Vivi's POV

Great. This is absolutely phenomenal.

We have no way to get back to Ninjago.

"Ugh, were gonna be stuck here forever! We're gonna die, and the-"

"Jay shut up!" A majority of the ninjas yelled, interrupting my brother. He groaned in defeat, turning his attention back to the ocean.

"Actually, I might have an idea." Skylor said.

"Really? What is it!" Lloyd asked, full of hope.

"Well, when I was alone fighting my fathers allies, I learned how to do this." she explained.

And then she jumped off the cliff.

What the heck?! I just got everyone to trust her, and now she's throwing herself off a cliff? I'm gonna throw some hands at her.

"What the heck? SKYLOR!" I shouted, my voice echoing down the depths of the cliff.

"Pft, that's it? I could've done tha-" Jay started but was interrupted once again, this time by Skylor.

On a dragon.

She was on a dragon.

The beast was a beautiful golden shade of amber, and had bright red eyes.

"Oh." Jay squeaked.

"How are we supposed to do that!?" Nya exclaimed.

Skylor flew towards us and landed near the edge of the cliff, as her dragon disappeared from under her.

"Well, do you want me to teach you?" She asked.

We unanimously nodded, and got to work.

"Ok, first, close your eyes. Focus all your elemental energy in the space in front of you. Let go of all fear, and when you feel empowered, picture the dragon. Then release."

"Um, I don't have an elemental power." Nya pointed out.

"You can hop on my dragon Nya." A voice declared from the bushes.

We turned around to find a guy in a brown Ninjago gi crawling out from the shrubbery behind us.

"Who's he?" I asked, utterly confused. Seriously, how many ninjas do we have???

"Oh, that's Dareth. He doesn't have an elemental power, but he helps out. Well, kinda." Cole explained.

"Hmm okay then." I said, turning back to face this Dareth.

"Dareth, you don't have an elemental power either!" Nya yelled in frustration.

"What do your mean? I have hot air, remember? And don't forget brown power! Hiyyya!" Dareth exclaimed, kicking the air in front of his, and then blowing air out of his mouth.

Weirdo.

Heh, he is kinda funny though.

"Ugh, you don't have any powers!" Lloyd facepalmed, turning to the edge of the cliff. He slowly closed his eyes, and inhaled a deep breath. Then, a green ball of energy formed in his hands, growing by the second. After a few seconds, he snapped his eyes open, while simultaneously releasing the energy from his hands. The energy ball separated into little orbs of energy, dancing into the outline of a dragon. Then, a flash of light appeared, and there stood Lloyd's energy dragon.

"Whoa..." I mumbled.

"Fascinating." Zane added.

We stared in awe at the dragon as Lloyd hopped on.

"Nya and Dareth, hop on to someone's dragon, as long as they're willing to have you on. Dad, you can ride on mine. Everyone else, what are you waiting for? Make those dragons!" Lloyd instructed.

We nodded, and did as he asked. Lloyd is a great leader after all.

One after another, we formed our dragons. Kai's dragon was an intense red, with scales resembling molten lava scattered across its body. Cole's looked as if it were made up of the strongest boulders, and had beautiful orange eyes. Jay's dragon was an electric blue color, with lightening coming off its horns. "Zane had a dragon that was an extremely pale blue in color, to the point where it was almost white. Cool air radiated off it, and it had ice shards as spines along its back."

My dragon was beautiful. It was a light lavender at its head, but gradually turned into a deep royal purple near the end of its tale. It had an amethyst placed a few inches above the spot between its eyes, which were silver. Its wings were flowing in waves, like a violet ocean, and it had a floaty effect to it. Almost like it was defying gravity itself.

All of us hopped on to our dragons, and I dragged Chen onto mine. Sometimes it sucks having to carry him around. Nya has taken refuge on Jay's dragon, and Dareth rode on Karlof's.

We soon took flight, and I found myself near the back of the group, between Kai and Cole's dragons, while Skylor was up front leading with Lloyd.

Cole's POV

"Hey Kai~" Skylor sang, as she abandoned Lloyd at the front of the group and flew over to our hothead.

"Uh, hey." He said, as they fell, a bit behind the rest of us. Eh, I'll let them be.

"So, they're a thing?" A silvery voice asked.

Vivi.

"Yeah, I think so. I mean, Kai's had the hots for since the moment he saw her." I chuckled.

"Well, they're cute together " Vivi laughed. "So, what's gonna happen once we get back to Ninjago?"

"I don't know, actually. We're probably just going to train and stuff, but danger tends to follow us around." I responded. "But what about your family?"

Vivi paused for a second before answering. "They don't even know I'm here. I may have left without telling them." She sighed. "I'm not that close to them, but I know they love me. I'll probably visit them before we settle down, to say goodbye."

I nodded. "So, what are they like?" I asked, hoping to keep this conversation going. Talking to Vivi was a lot of fun, and she never made me feel left out.

"Well, I almost never get to see my dad because he's usually on some kind of business trip," she explained. "And my mother is actually blind. She loves animals and has an at-home shelter. Since my mom can't do a lot around the house, I usually do the stuff she can't."

"Wow," I said. "My mom died a while before I become a ninja, and my dad is part of a singing and dancing troupe called the royal blacksmiths."

"Oh, I'm sorry about your mom." She apologized. I nodded, as she continued. "Wait, can you sing or dance?"

"Uhhhh no. My dad made me join a singing and dancing school, but I escaped, met Wu, and became a ninja instead." I replied.

"Who's Wu?" She asked.

Oh yeah! We never mentioned Wu!

"I can't believe we forgot to tell you! Wu is our sensei." I told her.

"Oh! So he got you guys together? And he taught you how to fight and stuff?" She asked.

"Yup" I responded. "By the way, are you excited to move in with us?" I hopefully questioned.

"I'm psyched! I can't wait, especially to learn spinjitzu." She exclaimed, smiling.

I smiled too, just looking at her. "You'll have fun, just try not to die." I joked.

Suddenly, an amber dragon whipped right between us, and we dodged it just in time. It flew to the front while Kai and his dragon creeped up next to Vivi and I.

We flew in silence for awhile, before Kai spoke up.

"Cole, you mind listening now?" He asked.

"Sure" I nodded.

He sighed. "So you saw what happened at the tree, right?"

"Yeah" I chuckled.

"So, Skylor asked me what we were when she flew to the back before." He explained.

"So are you dating now?" I asked. He better say yes.

"Well, not exactly..." He started. "We are dating, but I don't think I like her anymore. I couldn't say no..." He scratched the back of his head with one hand, while controlling the dragons reins with the other.

"You what!?" I exclaimed, earning a confused look from Vivi.

"You guys good?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"THIS IDIOT IS DATING SKYLOR EVEN THOUGH HE DOESNT LIKE HER ANYMORE!" I said, talking as loud as possible without alerting the whole group.

"Wait what? Why?" She asked, swiftly gliding over to Kai's side so that he was in the middle of us.

He sighed once again, and took in a deep breath. "It's nothing against Skylor, she's great and an amazing girl. It's just that I moved on. I got over her. I've got my eye on another girl now."

Wow, of course he does. That's Kai for ya.

"Ooooo who?" Viv asked, begging to know.

"You'll find out soon enough." Kai winked with a smirk.

Ok, hold up. He rejected Skylor because of Vivi? Ugh, why am I always stuck in a stupid love triangle!

"Ok then" She laughed, flicking the reins she was holding and flying ahead of us.

"So, what are you going to do?" I asked, once Vivi left.

"Date her." he shrugged, carefully running a hand through his hair so he doesn't ruin it. "I hope I can build up the courage to tell her soon though."

"See, this is why cake is my soulmate." I lectured. "Never rejects you, or betrays you, and it tastes amazing."

"Ughh why the cake?" Kai sighed, rolling his eyes.

Soon after, we landed safely onto Ninjago land.

"Yessss! We're back! " Jay screamed, kissing the ground.

Um, I'm not gonna interfere with that.

After everyone's dragons disappeared, one by one, the elemental masters left.

Now, it was just us ninja, as well as Garmadon. Oh, and Chen.

"We should head back to Destiny's bounty, my brother will be happy to see the purple ninja."  Garmadon suggested. "Vivian, If you need to, you may pack your stuff from your old home after visiting the Bounty."

Vivi nodded, and we started walking towards the bounty, following Nya, who actually knew where it was.

"So you live in a place called the bounty? What's it like?" Vivi asked me.

"It's a flying ship" I informed her.

"A what?"

"It was an old ship before. We fixed it up, added some stuff to help it fly, and now we have a flying ship." Nya explained, joining our conversation.

"Now that sounds fun" Vivi said, turning up to face the sky.

I looked up at it myself. It was midday, and the sun was positioned right above us. The sky was it's usual blue, and the clouds were big and puffy. They looked like whip cream. Man, I can't wait to get back on the ship and eat some cake.

After another thirty minutes of walking, we made it to our ship. It was all fixed up, and looked good as new.

"Nya, you and sensei did a great job with the ship." Zane complimented.

"Thanks Zane!" Nya smiled "Now let's get in!" She started walking to the newly fixed ship, with us close behind.

"Oooo this place is cool." Vivi commented, admiring the pictures and artifacts on the wall.

"I know, right?" Jay said, walking beside his sister.

After walking down a hallway, we made it to Sensei's quarters.

"Hey sensei! We're back!" Jay greeted, waving.

"Hello Jay, ninja. I take it that you're the purple ninja?" Sensei said, motioning towards Vivi with his staff.

"Uh, yeah. My names Vivian." She confirmed, perplexed. "How'd you know who I was?"

"Oh, he has this tea that he uses. He gets visions and stuff like that. He really loves tea." Kai explained.

"Precisely." Sensei nodded. "Nya, is it okay if Vivian shares a room with you?"

"Yeah, that sounds fun! I'm glad we finally have another girl aboard!" Nya gleamed, flashing a smile at Vivi who returned it.

"Who is this?" A frail ladies voice asked.

We turned around and saw Misako standing in the doorway. "Oh, hey mom! This is Vivian, but we call her Vivi. She's the purple ninja and is going to be living here. Do you already know the prophecy?" Lloyd asked.

"I do." She confirmed. "Hello Vivian. I'm Misako, Lloyds mother."

"Hello! Nice to meet you, all of you." Vivian said.

"You can go get your stuff now." Garmadon noted.

"Okay" Vivi nodded. "Jay, you wanna come with?" She asked.

"Sure! I wanna meet your parents." Jay agreed.

"Well, my dad might not be there, but I'm excited. Let's go."

And with that, the newly reunited siblings left.
