7:35 pm, 11 hours and 25 minutes until the end of The Annual Purge.

You know you and your brother are bored on Purge Night when your only source of entertainment is watching people Purge via live steams on TV! It was basically just flipping to a random camera around the country that was registered as an "Official Purge Cam" every 10 seconds. In the corner it read the city, the state, and the time. Sometimes you got cameras with nothing. Most of the time, though, you got quite a show! One of the first ones we saw was what looked like a biker gang helplessly beating up some guy in the street in Las Vegas, Nevada! And on another one, we saw what looked like 6 people with masks attempting to break into a bank vault in St. Louis, Missouri. The one we were watching now was what looked like a group of guys snorting cocaine on a Blackjack table in Chicago! I kinda forget that people do drugs during the Purge. It mainly seems focused on the killing and theft.

"I wanna feel sorry for the victims here," I said quietly, "but I was just like those criminals last year!"

"But you had a good reason to Purge," Michael argued. "And your only target was Mark. It wasn't your fault other people were involved!"

"I guess..."

"And hey, if you didn't kill that perv in the store, Kelsey wouldn't be here!"

"Well, I guess you're right there."

"Besides, I thought you supported The Purge now!"

"I do! But that doesn't mean I feel guilty about doing it..."

"Mark ruined your life, James. You did what you had to do."

"Did I really?"

Before he could answer, Kelsey came out of her room.

"I'm bored," she simply said.

It was the most child-like thing I'd ever heard her say.

"Well, how about we watch a movie?" I asked.

"Like what?"

"Hmm... How about a movie kids your age loved 10 years ago?"

"What is it?"

"Frozen."

"I think I've heard of that..."

"Well, let's watch it!"

"James," Michael cut in, "I don't have that movie!"

"Don't worry," I replied. "I can just download it online!"

"But isn't that ille-"

He then stopped himself and smiled.

"Nevermind," he replied.

With that, I headed to the computer and began work. I may not need to Purge, but I can still take advantage of the event!
