Chapter 5 : Jet Black Wings! On the Scene! | Dog Searching!
"Saiki-kun!!" I called, rushing after him. "Why'd ya leave me!? I was just joking around!" I pouted, not getting a response from the pinkette.
"Jerk, no need to react like that. All I said was a joke about stealing your coffee jelly." He still didn't respond, most likely ignoring me. My frown deepened, whispering, "You didn't have to go and teleport like that. Geez."
He still ignored me until we reached school. 'Just don't joke about that ever again.' I smiled, nodding my head as we headed to class.
Eventually break came and I turned to face my best friend. "So Saiki-kun, who's house we going to do homework at?"
'Mine obviously, you barely have any decent snacks at your house.' He replied, taking a glance at me. "The only good thing about that house is how empty it is.'
"Oh shush! Not my fault you constantly invite me over!" I chided, weakly punching his arm. "Not to mention your parents love me so much that they want me to practically live there! I'm basically your sister at this point!"
He glared at me, sighing. 'What an annoying sister I have then.'
"Meanie!"
"Hey did you guys hear? A poisonous snake escaped from a nearby petting zoo." A classmate said.
"Really? That's frightening!" Another replied. The rest of class kept on talking about the snake before a familiar voice chuckled.
"You silly fools, falling for their story."
"Huh? What are you talking about Kaidou-kun?" I asked.
"It's obvious that someone released that snake, for no trick can deceive the eyes of Jet Black Wings!" He exclaimed, the class seemed to eat up his explanation on the snake until he mentioned his made up evil organization. They began to ignore him from there on, commenting on his Chuunibyou.
He deflated from the lack of attention for a second before leaning his back on Kusuo-kun. "Silly fools, looks like it's only up to us Saiki."
Kusuo-kun frowned in annoyance, trying to ignore Kaidou-kun but ended up commenting on very light blue haired boy's fantasy of the snake. I wasn't listening honestly until he said, "And it's obvious what their goal is! To use the snake as a distraction to kidnap (L/n)-chan!"
I blinked at my name. "Wait what?"
He seemed to get flustered when he realized what he said. "W-well I mean w-why wouldn't they?! Y-you're amazing a-and," He coughed, trying to recover from his stutter. "And Dark Reunion needs the purest soul in order to take over the world! Why with a soul as pure as yours they could destroy the universe!"
"That is why it is up to me, and my sidekick Saiki, to protect you from the evils of Dark Reunion!" He finished. I unconsciously raised an eyebrow at the childish teen. But I still smiled, finding it cute.
"Hey guys they caught the snake!"
"Really?"
"Yeah, they found it near death outside the front gate. Apparently some grade schoolers were throwing it around like a rope. Then Moriya-sensei caught it, it's in a box in the faculty office now."
"Huh some "MurderDragon Snake" huh?" The class laughed, making fun of Kaidou-kun's fictional story.
"Laugh while you can." Kaidou-kun said as he started to leave the classroom. "This is only the beginning, m-mark my words! Dark Reunion will i-is just around th-the corner!"
'He's going to the bathroom to cry, isn't he?'
'Yep.'
I sighed, standing up to follow the poor boy. As I left the classroom I heard the others continue to make fun of Kaidou-kun. My blood boiled, sure he's childish but that is no excuse! As I went to the closet boys bathroom, I hear footsteps behind me. I turned my head to see Kusuo-kun. "What is it? Saw something?" I asked.
He nodded, telepathically telling me about the snake. "Good, that's karma up their ass."
'Language.'
"Piss off I'm mad." I could hear him sigh and felt him grab my shoulder before we teleported to the roof. I sighed and sat down on the floor, leaning against the entrance to the roof. I know Kusuo-kun sat down next to me as our shoulders were touching now. "What's happening in class now?"
'The snake bit Nendou.'
"What!?"
'Calm down, it was only his pants.'
"Geez, don't scare me like that Kusuo-kun!" I pouted, listening to him give me a play-by-play of the events happening in the classroom.
'Wait Kaidou!?'
"Kaidou-kun!?" I didn't realize but I had grabbed onto his shirt. "What's that boy thinking!? You're gonna help him right!?" Suddenly Kusuo-kun's eyes shined, followed by a thunder sound.
'Don't worry, the snake's dead.' He sighed, taking the bridge of his nose inbetween his fingers to help with the pain of his eyes being crossed for awhile. 'Now can you let go of me so we can head to class?'
"Huh?" I then realized I was gripping tightly and slightly leaning on the psychic. "Ah! Sorry!"
We headed back to the classroom and began class. Except this time Kaidou-kun was way over confident, even almost threatening the teacher.
He's gotten worse, how cute.

This is awkward. Me and Kusuo-kun were walking home when both Nendou-kun and Kaidou-kun showed up, following us. I could tell Kusuo-kun was getting annoyed at the attention we were getting.
"Why are you here?" Nendou-kun asked Kaidou-kun. "You wanna eat ramen with us too?"
"Same could be said to you." Kaidou-kun replied. "I felt and ominous wind coming from town, so Saiki and I are gonna check it out to protect (L/n)-chan. Outsiders aren't welcomed."
'I never said I was going with any of you.' Kusuo-kun said in annoyance. The two started to argue, to the point of yelling really loudly.
Suddenly I could hear someone crying, I immediately ran towards the noise and saw a little girl curled up sobbing. "Hey, are you alright?" I asked gently, dropping down to my knees to comfort the girl. Kaidou-kun appeared behind me and bend down to give the girl a handkerchief. "Now what happened Sweetie?"
"W-Wind ran a-away." She sobbed, suddenly clutching onto me in search of a form of comfort. I complied and patted her head to calm her down.
"Wind?"
"My d-dog."
"Oh I'm sorry Sweetie, what happened?" I asked, continue to calm her down. Once she did she explained that the dog somehow managed to get his collar loose and fled.
"Not good, if someone finds him they'll think he's a stray. He'll be taken to the pound." Kaidou-kun mumbled, looking at the loose collar.
"Alright then! We'll find him for ya!" Nendou-kun exclaimed. "Finding a dog will be a piece of cake!"
Suddenly the girl froze and ran to her discarded bag to search for something. She took out her security buzzer and tried to set it off. "Hey don't do that please!" I pleaded, rushing to her and took her a bit farther from Nendou-kun. "My friend isn't bad! He's just..."
"What the hell did I do!?" Nendou-kun roared.
"Look at yourself you idiot." Kaidou-kun said. "Leave the dog finding to us."
"I can help too!"
"If you stay here the girl is gonna keep trying to set off that thing because of your criminal face!"
While the two argued, I was trying to calm the girl down to make sure she didn't set off her buzzer. Kusuo-kun was helping me as he wasing patting her head while I hugged her. Nendou-kun then suddenly ran away screaming, probably to go find the dog on his own.
"Now that he's gone, give me a description of the dog." Kaidou-kun said, taking a notebook and pen put. He then drew what the girl described the dog as and rushed to look for the pooch.
'Alright, time to go home.' He started to walk away before I spoke to him via his telepathy.
'Kusuo-kun, you're not leaving without helping are you?' I asked very sweetly. He froze at my tone. 'I hope you're just gonna go to the bathroom to use your thoughtagrophy.'
"Hey Mister? You'll find Wind right?" The little girl asked, looking hopeful at Kusuo-kun. "You'll find him won't you?" He ended up leaving to locate the dog with his powers.
"Will they find him Miss?" The little girl asked me when he left.
"They will don't worry. I know Kusuo-kun definitely will." I said, not realizing I slipped by calling my best friend by his first name in public.
"Really? You must really like him if you trust him that much!" She smiled. My eyes widened.
"Well yeah! He's my best friend! Of course I trust him!" I exclaimed, suddenly closing off my thoughts. I don't know why I panicked like that.
She looked at me weirdly before gasping. "Wind! You found him!" She cried happily. "Where were you! You idiot!" The girl cried happily as she hugged her canine friend.
"Thank you Mister!!"
I patted his shoulder smiling. "Nice going dude." The other two came back and congratulated Kusuo-kun.
"Ah I found a dog too!" Nendou-kun exclaimed, showing the little frightened guy. "Who's is this then?"
'Maybe the angry guy behind you.' Kusuo-kun replied just before the guy punched Nendou-kun and grabbed his dog back.
"Shouldn't you help your friend Mister?" The little girl asked Kaidou-kun.
"Don't worry, he'll be fine." I said, ruffling her hair.
'For the record I'm not friends with those two guys.' Kusuo-kun explained. 'I'm basically a different species then all of you. A friendship is close to impossible to form between-'
"Well ya know, " The girl started. "Wind and I are best friends! Since I was little!" She smiled.
"And aren't you and Miss best friends like she said? She trusts you a lot!" I blinked, seeing Kusuo-kun look oddly shocked. Before his face went back to it's usual blank look. I raised an eyebrow at him, but he didn't make eye contact.
"Same here!" Nendou-kun suddenly said as he got close to the little girl. "Saiki and I have always been best friends!"
The little girl looked shocked at the closeness of Nendou-kun and managed to set off the security buzzer.
Nendou-kun.....
