The Nuclear Man vs The Burning Man

Professor Stein is seen in the Serpent's Hand Laboratory. He was there because he was now instructed to help out with the 610 cure problem. Apparently, because they need a bit more info on how to use the Anti-Venom Symbiote to get it to fuse with the 610 blood without destroying it, he needs to study the 'physics' behind the cells of 610, study it's cellular structure so that they can get it to fuse with the Symbiote, which will than make it suitable to fuse the cure with the Whitelight strain, the Nanites, and the Scarab's generated antibodies. He is studying it in a place where, while it is not as cold as the cold room, it is at least cold enough for the professor to see what was happening to the blood sample when it slowly grows.

He than looked down at the 610 cells in order to see what is it that made it spread, as he noticed that, some of the cells had been known to woven like clothes being sewn, and some of them fuse together. And other times, it just gets to confusing. The 610 cells are unpredictable in how their cellular structure inside their bodies functions. And needless to say, it is making Stein unsure if he can even help in this.

"God...this 610 sample is something. I can barely even tell how it can grow, function, and even heal itself. It's as though it is aware of what's happening and is trying to confuse me."

As Professor Stein continues to look at the blood sample of the 610 infected that Alex had obtained, suddenly, an alarm went off, and Stein looks up, and spoke.

"There's something bad happening. Think I should check it out."

Stein than puts the sample into a box that has cold energy generators, and went to the main room to check out what is going on.

When he got out of the room, he puts the box into the cold room, so it doesn't accidentally get knocked down and start to quickly infect people, and went to the computer room to check out what in the world is going on now.

As he goes to the computer room, Jason ran to him and spoke out.

"Professor! What's going on right now?!"

Stein looks at him through his glasses and spoke out.

"I don't know myself. I'm just going to the computer room to check out in what is happening right now. I think we should both go do that we can get the idea of what is happening right now, Jason."

Jason nodded, and the both of them ran to the computer room as fast as they can. When the reached the computer room, Alex and the others are looking at the screen, and Stein spoke out to them.

"What's happening?"

Alex turned around, and spoke out.

"We apparently detected some forest fires caused by something anomalous. We have no idea what it is, since it seems to disappear before we can even know what it is. Thankfully, nobody lost their lives in that sudden spread, but this was so sudden that even I'm not sure how this even happened. And before you ask, Jason, it is not a cigarette and a lighter. Cyborg checked through the satellite, and that area is free of any cigarettes and lighters alike."

Alex than spoke out to Jason, and guessed what he was going to question him on what was the reason that happened. As Jason slumped to the wall, Cyborg than saw something that was pretty unusual.

"Hey, guys. I think I saw something that caused it."

Everyone turned to him, and he began to play the video, but close up. As everyone watched the zoomed-in video, they saw something that resembles a humanoid figure...but it was made entirely of flames. Alex squinted a bit at it to get a closer look, before speaking out, shocked.

"Wait a moment. I recognize that one. That's SCP-457."

Stein, Jason and Wanda looked at Alex and Jason spoke out.

"You know this thing?"

Alex turned around and nodded.

"I do. SCP-457, also known as The Burning Man, is an SCP that can manipulate flames, due to being made of fire himself. He can use anything that counts as fuel, and when he consumes fuel...it makes him stronger. And with every form of fuel that he consumes, he grows stronger and more intelligent, and when he grows too powerful, he splits himself, and makes a copy of himself, which he can often have a fight with, strangely."

Wanda than went forward, and spoke out.

"What does it want to do with the fuel that it consumes?"

Alex turns at her with a 'this-is-gonna-be-a-strange-reason' expression now present. He than spoke out.

"It wants to get enough fuel for itself so that it can spread. But this is impossible to do, considering the fact that he will fight with himself, A.K.A, his copies. I don't really know how you can spread yourself when you feel that way, but if you're going to spread yourself everywhere at once, you are going to need the copies that you had made."

Alex sighs, as James spoke out.

"Give is a fucking break. We have enough problems to deal with. Why must we deal with this thing?"

But as soon as he said that.

"You won't fucking have to, James."

He turned, and saw Jason waking up to him.

"Why do you mean, kid, that we don't have to fucking deal with it?"

Jason smirked, and spoke out.

"How about you allow me and professor Stein back as Firestorm, and we can go out and kick that burning pain in the ass. It would save you some time to go and deal with that thing by yourselves."

Stein than puts a hand on Jason, and spoke out.

"Jason! Think about what you're doing! We are dealing with an entity that can use any form of fuel to grow in size and intelligent. Our flames could make it stronger."

But than Jason turned around, and spoke out.

"Well, than why don't we make it lose fuel? And besides, I don't think it has any effect on nuclear fire, such as ours!"

Before Stein could speak, Alex looks at the screen and saw that SCP-457 is coming back.

"There's no time. Fine. Jason, Stein, you're hired for this mission to deal with 457!"

Stein sighs, and spoke out.

"Alright, Jason. You get to have your chance."

Jason grins, and prepares to fuse with Stein to make Firestorm again.

Both Stein's and Jason's hands touched each other, and the instant that happened, fire began to ignite of their hands for a split second, before a flash of light appeared.

Everyone covered their eyes from the bright flash of light that has appeared where both Stein and Jason are at. When it dies down, they looked, and saw that they have both fused into Firestorm.

Jason smirked, and spoke out with a voice of confidence.

"Now, time to kick the ass of that SCP. Time to fight fire...with fire!"

He than turned around, and flies out of the base, with Alex sighing, as he held his face with his hand.

"I think I've just doomed us all right now."

Everyone looked at him with an expression meaning 'you think?', with Toxin's left eye twitching at the fact that Alex is about to make things even worse than it was.

Meanwhile...at a burning forest...

In another forest, a wildfire had been started, and burned down a trailer. Thankfully, the family that lived there were able to escape the forest, and most likely will try to find a new home, but the wildfire is still spreading at such an immensely fast rate. Amongst the fire however, is SCP-457 himself.

The Burning Man has been going on a rampage for a total of 20 minutes, trying to use the trees as his new source of fuel in order to grow in both power and size. And when the least he expected it, he had suddenly made a copy of himself. And rather ironically, despite its uttermost desire to spread itself, it hates having a copy of itself, and would try to consume and eliminate it. But before a fight could go on between the 2 copies, suddenly, the copy turned around, and pointed up at the sky, and the original looked up to see what he's seeing. There was a person coming down to see them, called The Nuclear Man.

"So, you must be The Burning Man, Huh?"

Firestorm spoke out to SCP-457, who looks at Jason with his faceless head...and noticed the flames on his hand. As he looked at it, he than spoke out.

"Fuel..."

Firestorm looks a bit confused, and spoke out to him, as he needed to know what he said.

"What was that? I didn't hear clearly! You know what?! Forget!! Just shut your mouth up and fight!!"

As soon as he said that, SCP-457 than float in the air, and charged at him, with Firestorm now fleeing from the Burning Men. But because they fed on so much fuel, they are much more faster than before, and now are even capable of reaching speeds exceeds that of even Alex's running speed. And Firestorm is flying at a similar rate to Rex's when using the Boogie Pack.

When Firestorm looked, he saw that one of the Burning Man's copies was about to reach him. So Firestorm then himself into a flame, and went down to the ground.

But both of the Burning Men were relentless, and are not going to allow their new source of fuel to go away and flee from their grasp. So they went down and chased after the Nuclear Man, who is still going down to the ground at an immensely fast speed, and is very difficult to know where he is going to land on, due to his size when he is inside of his flame form.

But what they didn't know...was that when Firestorm went down, he noticed that there is water. And this gave him in idea to put a stop to them. Even if he doesn't agree the both of them, he can at least deal with the single clone that is left.

'Are you ready to turn, Jason?'

Professor Stein spoke on Firestorm's mind, with him speaking back to him.

"I'm ready. Time to extinguish these bad boys to nothing but steam!"

Firestorm than turned back to his normal form, and looks up to see one of the clones ahead of the other one. Firestorm than waited a few more seconds, and as soon as the clone was about to touch Firestorm's face, he instantly moved out of the way, and the Burning Man now became a steaming man, because he was extinguished when he hit down on the body of water. However, the other one, which is the original, saw what just happened, and immediately moved away. When he turned around to find hi, he saw Firestorm, and charged at him. But Firestorm isn't going to allow him to be touched.

Firestorm than aimed at the water below him, making a steam appear at a fast pace and is very thick. So much that Firestorm's fire didn't even appear from behind the steam that he made.

When the Burning Man went through the steam, Jason was nowhere in sight. Then, SCP-457 began to look around to try and find Jason, and wondered where's he gone.

But when he turned around, he was met with a punch to the head, at the spot where the face should have to be in. Jason, due to now being Firestorm, is immune to flames. But that doesn't mean that he is immune to physical hits. As soon as he punched it, the Burning Man retaliates with a kick to the head, sending Jason back.

But Jason isn't going to give up that easily, and spins in the air, and kicked him at the top of his head. But the Burning Man isn't stopping, and did in uppercut at the Nuclear Man's Gut, before throwing him towards a tree, which broke upon his body making impact on the wooden trunk.

Jason than acted on impulse, and instantly attacked with the flames.

'Jason, Wait!!'

But Stein's warnings were a little too late, when he fired his beams of Nuclear Fire energy.

The Beams traveled immensely fast, and struck the Burning Man...which was the biggest mistake that he has ever made. Because the instant it hit the Burning Man...something shocking happened. The Burning Man than grew in size, and become as tall as a house. Firestorn looked in shock, as he couldn't believe what had just happened. Needless to say, Firestorm's screwed.

Back at base...

Wanda and Alex facepalmed, as Scorn looked at what had just happened, with one of her eyes twitching.

"<Text>Did Firestorm just made it worse?"

Alex looked at Scorn and spoke out.

"Yes...he did."

From the sound of his voice, he sounds immensely mad, despite the fact that he didn't raise his voice at all. Wanda than looked at the computer, and spoke out.

"Are you going to reprimand him for this blunder?"

Alex nodded, and spoke out.

"He needs to learn to quit that everything is about him become more awesome than everyone. He's going to atone for this blunder by help protect the S.H's base."

Back at the fight...

"OOF!!!"

Firestorm was launched back by the strike of the Burning...or rather, Nuclear Burning Man, as he strolls towards Firestorm. The Burning Nuclear Man became stronger than before, and is now capable of snapping him like a twig if he wanted to. He than stop and spoke.

"You...perfect source of fuel...must feed and grow perfect!!"

He spoke out, and began to run to the Nuclear Man, who than becomes flames, and went out of the forest.

"Jeez...I made one hell of a mess. How am I supposed to stop this?!"

As he looked around, he than looked down at the ground, and Stein spoke out in his head.

'Are you planning on using the concrete on the ground to trap the Burning Man? We need to weaken him!'

Firestorm nodded, and turned to see a water tank on one of the buildings, giving Jason an idea to use.

He than went to the water tank, and tore it off of the building like it is nothing but thread strings.

As he flied back, he saw the Burning Man appear, and using that time, he threw the tank down, which shattered upon impact with the Burning Nuclear Man's body, which spilled the water on top of the Burning Man's body, caused it to shrink down to size a bit, but is still larger than Firestorm. SCP-457 shrieks, as it felt immense pain from the water falling on top of him, and steam beginning to come off of his body. However, he is small enough to do his new trap, and as 457 recovered a little bit, he turned around and charged fast at Firestorm

As soon as the Burning Man got close, Firestorm increased his Flame, turning it to a blue fire, and fired at the concrete ground that's beneath him.

Thankfully, the Burning Man, who is large, was making things easier by walking on the ground. And when Firestorm struck it, he walked right into Jason's trap that he made for the SCP.

As soon as he got hit by the explosion, the ground began to cover him, starting to grow from underneath the Burning Man's feet. He attempts to walk back, but the Ground continued to swallow his body, until he is stuck in concrete, and looks like a statue, with the stance of extending his hand, and looks as though he is terrified to die...except that he is unsure the Burning Man can even be killed by anyone he meet, even if it is a person that can manipulate water.

After Firestorm was done, he looked up at the stair, and spoke out.

"How did the Nuclear Fire even empower him this much? It is nuclear energy!"

Than, Stein spoke inside of his mind.

'It's possible that because it needs fuel, it can take anything that will help it grow. And since the fire that we make is related to even normal fire, than it is possible that the nuclear energy that we combined in the flames make it possible to use it in order to empower himself with it.'

Jason looks down, before Wanda spoke out inside their minds.

'Firestorm!! You've got to get out of there right now. The Foundation are coming in your direction."

Firestorm than jumped, and spoke out.

"Okay, coming!!"

He than flies up in the air, and flees from the area fast before the Foundation could even see him. And luckily for him...the Foundation doesn't bother to discover the sky, and focused more on re-containing the anomaly that had escaped from the containment chamber it was in.

Back at the base...

Firestorm was able to return to base, and after they went inside, Alex quickly gave him a reprimand to pull something like that and make a mistake like this again. Firestorm agrees, and Alex spoke out.

"If you want to make up for the Blunder that you made, you need to make sure that the Serpent's Hand's base is protected. Do not messy his up, Jason."

Jason nodded, and spoke out.

"I won't. Besides, SCP-457 won't appear here. Right, Alex?"

Alex sighs, and spoke out.

"No...but you can burn down this base if you aren't careful. You could cause way more destruction to the base than even SCP-457. Just watch yourself so you don't get the base, and your friends burns by your nuclear flames...am I clear?"

Firestorm, knowing what he meant, spoke out.

"Okay."

Alex sighs in relief, and spoke out.

"One last thing. I'm going to need professor Stein. I think I found a way for us to finally make a cure for SCP-610."

Firestorm, upon hearing this, spoke out.

"Great!!! You heard that, professor?!"

Stein spoke out.

"Yes...I did hear that, Jason...

...and it's really good news."
