The next morning I woke up and went to check up on Care. She said she was fine with the whole breakup with Matt but I wanted to make sure she was fine.

"Are you sure you are okay?" I ask her making her nod at me with a soft smile.

"I mean it hurts a little but not that much," Caroline tells me and I nod smiling at her as I pull something out of my pajama pocket.

"I had an idea. In this town they kill vampires and I don't want it to be you. They use vervain to weaken them but if you build up a tolerance it will be better," I tell her making her nod at me as she looks at the vial.

"That's vervain isn't it?" She questions making me nod.

"It'll burn and be beyond painful so if you don't want to you don't have to. I'm going to talk to Damon and Stefan about doing it too," I tell her making her nod at me.

"Alright give it to me," Caroline says and I sigh handing her the vial. Caroline pauses a second before opening and taking a sip. She immediately coughs and I start patting her back.

"I'm sorry. Are you okay?" I ask her making her nod at me.

"I'm okay and it's not your fault. Your right," Caroline tells me as I look at the time. I sigh looking toward Caroline.

"It's time to start getting ready for the park to help clean and all that," I tell Caroline and she nods at me as we get up. I head towards my room to start getting ready.

Pulling my hair into a high ponytail and made sure I have dressed appropriately for the park and brushed my teeth.

"Care you ready?" I ask as I head towards her room. She smiles at me walking out of her room. We lock arms as we walk downstairs.

Getting downstairs we see our mom packing some boxes.

"Are you off today?" Caroline asks her making her turn towards us.

"The Historical Society Volunteer Picnic is today. You both are the ones who signed me up," Mom tells us as Caroline nods.

"I know. I just assumed you'd bale," Caroline says making me glare at her.

"No. I'm gonna spend the whole day with my daughters," Mom tells us and I smile softly at her as Caroline nods.

"Well be warned, I'm in a mood," Caroline tells her.
"Goody for me," mom tells her as she looks towards me.

"What was Elena doing here so late last night?" Mom asks me as I look wide-eyed.

"Elena wasn't," Caroline started but I elbow her in the ribs to shut up.

"Yes um...Elena was here. She just needed to talk. She and Stefan are going through a rough patch," I tell mom making her nod at me.

"Is everything okay with you two?" Mom asks us looking concerned.

"I'm fine," we both tell her making her look at us.
"It's just lately you both seem different," mom tells us.

"I'm not different, I'm fine," Caroline tells mom.

"I know you think I don't notice these things but I do. What's going on with you girls?" Mom asks us as I sigh not looking into her eyes.

"You know there's pretending to be a mother and then there's reality. Let's not push our luck, okay?" Caroline says as she grabs my arm and pulls me away.

I sigh looking at Caroline who looks down.
"I know but we can't let her find out," Caroline tells me making me sigh as I nod.

"Come on let's go," I tell her as we nod and start to leave to start heading towards to park.

At the Mystic Falls Historical Society Volunteer Day. Preparations are underway. Carol Lockwood is giving the speech.

"This is all part of the historical society, continuing efforts to give back to the community. Thanks to the generous donation of the Fell family. We are now standing on the sight of our newest public park. Thank you to everyone who has shown up today to lend a helping hand. Thanks," Carol says as Mason starts removing boxes from his trunk. Stefan walks up to him.

"Stefan right? The other Salvatore," Mason says.
"The nice one. The one offering an apology," Stefan says toward him.

"Not interested," Mason says as starts to walk away but Stefan stops him.

"Look, my brother acted impulsively," Stefan says as Mason looks at him.

"You think?" Mason asks him.

"If you and Damon keep at each other throats, somebody innocent is going to get hurt and I don't want that. You have family here so I can imagine you'd want that either. So what do you say we just quit the whole alpha male fighting thing and call a truce?" Stefan offers not wanting anyone to get hurt.

"I made that same offer to your brother. He turned it down with a knife," Mason tells Stefan.

"He made a mistake. I'm here to make sure that neither one of you make another one,"

"Tell your brother and Rosie to watch their back," Mason says as he tries to walk away but Stefan catches his arm.

"Rosie why?" Stefan asks making Mason look at him.
"She helped him," Mason says as Stefan shakes his head.

"Well, I'm guessing that he only has to worry about that during a full moon. Otherwise, you're not as strong, am I right? Or you would have killed Damon by now. There's one of you. There are three of us. I think you're the one that needs to watch his back," Stefan says making Mason sigh.

"If he comes at me...," Mason says making Stefan shake his head.

"He won't," Stefan tells him as she sticks his hand out. Mason shakes his hand and leaves carrying a box. Damon appears behind Stefan.

"What are you doing?" Damon asks his brother.
"Negotiating peace on your behalf," Stefan tells him as Damon pouts.

"I don't want peace," Damon tells him annoyed.
"Consider it Opposite Day," Stefan tells him as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Stefan, please tell me you don't seriously think a handshake just solved our problem," Damon says as he looks at his brother.

"No, actually I think that the first chance Mason Lockwood gets, he's gonna drive a stake through your heart, then Rosie, and lastly through mine, all because you took it upon yourself to try to kill him. So thank you, because we don't have enough problems," Stefan tells his brother fed up with him, and walks away.

But his annoyed mood leaves right away when he saw his best friend. She was laughing and talking with Caroline as they walked around the park.

"Rosie!" Stefan yells making Rosie immediately turn to him. She smiles big as she turns back to Caroline who waves her off.

Rosie then smiles as she runs to Stefan who smiles just as big. When she was close enough Stefan pulled her into his arms hugging her tight.

"Missed you too Steffie," Rosie tells him with a smile as he holds her tight.

"I miss you too. I don't get my daily dose of Rosie yesterday," Stefan tells her making her smile as she shakes her head.

"Well you were busy with your ex and I was trying to keep Damon from creating another enemy," Rosie tells him making him shake his head.

"Well he did create one again," Stefan tells her making Rosie groan as they start walking.

"Of course he did," Rosie says as she looks around for her sister and mom.

"Hey, why is my mom talking to Mason?" Rosie asks Stefan as they look towards the two.

"I don't know," Stefan tells her as I sigh looking at Stefan.

"Just be careful. The Lockwoods have egos. If you hurt them they want to hurt you back," Rosie warned Stefan. Stefan smiled at her nodding.

Rosie smiles at him as she looks over Stefan's shoulder.
"Elena is looking at you," Rosie tells him making Stefan nod as he looks over his shoulder to see Elena looking at him.

"You okay?" Rosie asks him making Stefan nod at her with a small smile.

"Yeah I'm okay," Stefan tells me and I smile at her seeing Elena coming closer to us.

"I'm going to go," Rosie tells Stefan as she points behind her and just walks away heading towards the lemonade stand.

Getting to the lemonade stand I see Mason taking a cup of lemonade from the girl operating the stand.

"Thank you," Mason tells her as I stand beside him smiling at the little girl.

"You're welcome," she tells Mason.

"Mason I just want to say I'm sorry for whatever Damon did. I told him not to and I believed he wasn't going to do it. I should have made sure," I tell Mason as I look down feeling bad that I didn't guess it.

Doing this I mess the look of surprise going across Mason's face but before he could tell me anything Damon walks up to us.

"Well, Mason. Working hard? Cupcake," Damon says as she wraps an arm around me. I smile at him shaking my head at him.

"Doing my part," Mason tells him as he takes a sip from the lemonade.

"I heard you talked to Stefan," Damon says as I roll my eyes.

"Nice guy," Mason says making me smile at him.
"Yeah, a lot nicer than me," Damon says as I nod.

"That's an understatement," I mumble making Damon pinch me as I smile cheekily up at him

"Nice is overrated," Mason says as I huff.
"That's what I thought. Huh!" Damon says as I smile at the little girl as she hands me a cup of lemonade.

"You have a good day, Damon," Mason says as he looks toward me. I smile at him as he smiles back and walks away.

Once he leaves Stefan arrives and smiles at me before looking at Damon annoyed.

"Please tell me that you were just bonding," Stefan says well more like begs.

"So what's up with this faux drama in your relationship?" Damon questions as I look at the two confused.

"What are you talking about?" Stefan asks looking confused but I could tell it was fake.

"Oh come on, Stefan. You and Elena don't fight," Damon tells him as I look down knowing he and Elena have been fighting recently.

"Drop it, Damon," Stefan tells him leaving no room for discussion.

"With pleasure," Damon tells him as I take a sip of my lemonade. It tasted familiar but before I could question it Damon took it.

"Thank you Cupcake," Damon says as he goes to take a sip. Right, when he was about to drink I realized what it was.

"Damon no!" I yell at him but it was too late he had already taken a sip of it and then spit it out and starts coughing but what none of us saw was my mom watching us and someone looking at us guiltily regretting his decision.

"What's wrong?" Stefan asks panicked as I grabbed a bottle of water.

"Vervain! Vervain!" Damon tells his brother as he gasps.

I give Damon the water and he starts rinsing his mouth out with it, spits it out, and then starts glaring.

"'I'm gonna kill him," Damon says as he starts looking around for Mason.

"Listen to me! Sit! Sit!" Stefan tells him trying to stop him.

"I'm not listening anymore of your "give peace a chance" crap. He's dead!" Damon tells his brother beyond mad.

"Okay. I don't like it. He's making threats. He could expose us. We need to put him down," Stefan says as I shake my head at the two.

"Alright. Let's do it," Damon says as I sigh. Damon then sees Mason going into the woods.

"Woods. Trash duty. Come on," Damon says but I shake my head stopping the two.

"No, listen to me this is suspicious. Think both of you," I tell them as they look at me.

"We'll be fine Cupcake," Damon says as I shake my head and look towards Stefan but he just smiles at me as I shake my head at him.

Both brothers walk away as I sigh and look around for my sister. I don't see her and start looking for Elena but I don't see her either.

I start walking and see both her and Elena climbing a hill. I immediately start heading toward them.

"Care!" I yell making her turn towards me. She stops letting me catch up to her.

"Moms acting weird," Caroline tells me making me nod.

"Yeah, I think I know why," I tell her making her nod at me as we continue walking up the hill.

"Where are you going? What's going on?" Elena asks us.

"I need to be able to hear better," Caroline tells her as Elena looks at us both confused.

"Hear what?" Elena asks Caroline as I sigh worried.
"Something's wrong, Elena," I tell her making her look at me confused.

"Rosie. Caroline...," Elena says as both Caroline and I stop.

"Shh," Caroline tells her as she moves her hair behind her hair.

"Oh god," Caroline says wide-eyed as I look at her worried.

"What is it?" I ask her as I squeeze her hand. She looks at me with a scared and worried expression.

"Stefan and Damon," Caroline tells me making me freeze.

"What?" Elena asks as I snap out of it.

"Which way?" I ask her making her point right and I immediately start running in that direction.

As all three of us run into the woods looking for Liz, Damon and Stefan suddenly Caroline stops.

"What is it Care?" I ask her as she bends down and looks at a plant I see blood on it.

"They've been here," Caroline tells me as I hear a branch break.

I turn to see Mason standing there. He looks at me in the eyes and then sighs.

"They are at the Lockwood old cellar. I tried to warn them but it was too late," Mason tells me making me nod at him with a smile as I immediately start running in that direction.

Arriving at the cellar we all stop as Caroline starts listening again.

"Care what's wrong?" I ask as I watch her as she looked like she was about to cry.

"Mom. She's killing them," Caroline tells me making me look close to tears but I snap out of it as I start moving forward to stop her, but Caroline grabs my arm.

"No, no, no! I can't she's gonna find out about me!"Caroline says as I smile sadly at her.

"It'll be okay and you don't have to go down there I will," I tell her as I run down the stairs.

"Let's do this. Each with a stake in the heart, then burn them both," Liz tells the deputies as she hears a metallic creaking sound. She looks at one of her deputies.

"Check it out," Liz tells them as I hit one of the deputies with a plank and then goes into the main cell. Liz sees her and points her gun at her before looking wide-eyed.

"Rosalie Forbes! What are you doing?" Mom yells at me as I shake my head at her.

"I'm sorry Mom but I can't let you kill them. Please mom," I beg as a deputy comes up and quickly pushes me forward and readies his gun.

"Drop the gun on my daughter right now," Mom tells the deputy with a glare. He looks at me with a glare before dropping the gun.

"What was that?" The deputy questions as the door close by itself.

"Who else is with you?" Mom asks me as I look at her sadly.

Caroline circles around at vamp speed closes on one of the deputies and bites his neck. The other deputy fires at her, but only shoots the first deputy. When he stops shooting, Caroline rushes from behind and knocks him to the ground. Caroline then reveals herself with her vampire's face to mom.

"Hi mom," Caroline says in a little voice as mom looks wide-eyed. I smile sadly at Caroline as I walk over to her.

I gave her a napkin that I had in my pocket to clean her face as I walk over to Stefan and Damon. I help Damon up to feed on one of the deputies

I see Elena with Stefan who looks pale. After feeding, Damon looks up to check up on Stefan. As Caroline and Mom sit quietly in different parts of the cell.

"You need to drink some deputy blood," Damon tells him as Stefan shakes his head. He has gotten better at drinking human blood but he goes little by little.

"No. I'm gonna be fine. It's just gonna take a little bit longer," Stefan says as Damon looks towards me as I look at Stefan concerned.

"Damon's right you know. If there's ever a time to break your diet...," Caroline starts to offer worried about Stefan.

"He said he didn't want it, okay?" Elena says annoyed as I look at Stefan.

Stefan looks up feeling eyes on him. He sees Rosie looking at him with more concern than ever in her eyes. He nods at her telling her he will be fine but he can tell she doesn't believe him.

She holds her wrist up asking a silent question on whether or not we would just want to drink from her. Stefan looks up to see Elena looking between the two and she shakes her head at Stefan making Stefan sigh but he ignores her as he nods at Rosie.

"Neck or wrists?" Rosie asks as she moves over to Stefan.

"Neck it's easier to control feeling your pulse," Stefan tells her as he takes her deep breath.

"Stefan," Elena says as she shakes her head but Stefan just shakes his head at her as Rosie moves her hair for Stefan as he leans her neck over.

Stefan grabs Rosie's hand and she squeezes sit with a reassuring smile. He takes a deep breath before biting into her neck. Rosie grunts for a second before relaxing.

Stefan only takes a few small sips before pulling away not losing control once. When he does Rosie smiles at him with pure proudness in her eyes as he smiles at her.

Stefan bites his wrist letting Rosie drink a little so her neck heals. What neither saw was Elena looking angry, Damon looking surprised, Caroline's looking with a smile, and Liz looking confused.

"This is a most unfortunate situation. Two deputies dead and you," Damon says breaking up the moment as he looks at Liz.

"What am I gonna do with you?" Damon questions as both Caroline and me look towards me.

"You won't tell anyone, will you? Mom?" I ask her as she looks down at the floor.

"Mom? Please. Look, I know that we don't get along and that you hate me but I'm your daughter and you'll do this for me, right? Mom, please. He will kill you," Caroline begs as I look at mom with tears in my eyes.

"I need time," Mom tells us both with tears in her eyes. I look at Mom as tears fall down my face. I head over towards her and bring her into my arms.

"We are both the same Rosalie and Caroline mom. Just a little bit different but we are still the same," I tell her as she holds me tight. I look over towards Caroline and wave her over.

She looks hesitant but when mom looks up at her with tears in her eyes and a small smile Caroline rushes into our arms.

"We will tell you everything," Caroline tells her as mom nods at us.

Damon looks at the deputies before looking at his brother.

"We've got to clean this up," Damon says making Stefan nod. As Damon looks toward the three Forbes.

"She's staying at the Boarding House for a few days just until we can trust her," Damon says as I look at mom who nods as she looks at Damon.

"Okay but I'll never do anything to hurt my daughters," Mom tells him as Damon glares at her.

"But that doesn't mean you won't do anything to Stefan and me," Damon tells her as I look at mom.

"Trust them, mom. I'll tell you everything and you will be thankful for them. I promise," I tell her making her nod at me.

After cleaning up the bodies Damon takes mom to the boarding house while Caroline and I went to the house to pack mom a bag.

Getting there I walk into the house not knocking and head towards the room mom was in. I see her on the phone as both Caroline and I walk into the room.

"Hey," Caroline says as mom looks towards us.
"I want an explanation," mom tells us making me nod at her.

Caroline and I both seat down in front of her and start at the beginning from when Stefan saved me, to meeting both brothers, to finding out, to all the almost deaths, then John almost killing me, and Caroline's death. I made sure to tell mom that if she didn't turn she would have died instead.

Mom went through a lot of emotion during our explanations. She was grateful towards Stefan for saving me, angry for the all almost dying things and kidnappings, murderous and promising to kill John Gilbert for trying to burn me alive, and then thankful that both her daughters were alive and safe even if one was a vampire.

As we were talking and laughing with each other the door was knocked and we looked to see Stefan standing there smiling but I could tell it was fake.

"Sorry to interrupt but can I speak to Rosie?" Stefan asks making both Caroline and mom nod.

"I want to say thank you Stefan for keeping my daughter safe. It might take me a little while to trust both you and Damon but I won't let anyone hurt either of you," mom says making Stefan nod at her with a smile.

"No, thank you needed Sheriff. I'm just happy they are okay," Stefan tells her as he looks at me with a smile.

"I'll be right back," I tell them making both nod at me as I got up and followed Stefan downstairs towards the den.

"What's wrong Steffie?" I ask him making him sigh.
"Elena and I got in an argument about drinking your blood," Stefan tells me making me sigh.

"I can't tell you what to do Steffie but you need to choose what is the best for you, not anyone else," I tell him making him nod at me with a small smile.

"I do want to talk to you about something," I tell him making him nod at me.

"I think you and Damon need to start taking small doses of vervain. You both need to build a tolerance towards it," I tell him making him nod at me.

"Only if you want to but I think it would be the best for all three of you. Caroline already argued and started drinking it," I tell him making him nod at me.

"I'll think about it," he tells me making me smile at him.

"I'm glad you are okay Stefan and please next time listen to my warning!" I tell him making him laugh at me as he nods his head.

"I will," he tell me as I bring him into a hug. He smiles hugging me back.

"It's you and me, Rosie," he tells me making me nod at him with a smile as I hold my pinky out.

"Me and you Steffie," I tell him with a small as we interlock our pinkies not knowing three people were listening to our conversation.

"They need to just get together," Caroline whispers to her mom who shakes her head at her daughter.
