A dream that changed everything
Prince Kai's POV
I woke up from the nightmare my heart racing as if I'd just ran a marathon. My whole body was drenched in sweat.
The dream still lingered, vivid and real, like a lingering mist that refused to dissipate. I saw her - Giselle, my betrothed, the one destined to be my partner in life and rule.
The birthmark on her right hand was unmistakable, a small, delicate crescent moon that seemed to glow in the dim light of my chambers.
I threw off the covers and got out of bed, my bare feet sinking into the plush carpet as I headed to the bathroom to freshen up. The cool water on my face was a welcome respite from the lingering heat of the dream.
By the time I returned to my chambers, the bed had been remade, and the sheets changed.
I chose a comfortable royal outfit from my wardrobe, the soft fabric rustling as I dressed. I sprayed my cologne, and left my chambers, ready to face the day.
In the dining hall, the servants bowed as I entered, I ignored them going straight to the dinning area.
I was welcomed by the sound of the twins giggling my gaze scanning the room as I took my seat at the table. My mother, Queen Liriel, and my younger siblings, Prince Luui and Princess Mika, were already seated.
We jazzed over breakfast the room filled with Mika's giggles, mom and I also discussed matters of the royal court. With Father, the King, ill, I had to take on more responsibilities - decision-making, judgment, overseeing the Mubana group of companies, and performing rites.
I cleared my throat to gain their attention, I had something off topic but important to tell them.
Prince Luui and Princess Mika looked at me curiously, their eyes sparkling with interest, while Mother continued eating, her expression unchanged.
"I had a dream about my betrothed and this time I saw her face," I said, trying to sound nonchalant, but my voice betrayed a hint of excitement.
Mother's spoon dropped on the floor, she gave me a surprised look, Mika and Luui exchanged shocked glances, their eyes wide with wonder.
"What did you just say?" Mother asked, her voice trembling, from the shock.
"I saw Giselle's face," I replied, the feeling like a teenager who impressed his crush.
Mother's expression transformed, her face alight with joy, and she enveloped me in a warm hug, her arms tight around me but i didn't mind.
Luui and Mika joined us, beaming with smiles, their faces radiant with happiness. "Dad will finally be healed," Mika exclaimed, her voice emotional.
As we hugged, I couldn't help but recall the details of my dream. "She's beautiful," I said, remembering her face.
"Her long lashes framed her eyes like a work of art, her lips were pink and pouted," I paused, lost in the memory.
"Her face was perfectly molded with no long black hair, she has an hourglass figure,"
Mika giggled, her eyes sparkling with delight. "She sounds like a goddess!" she exclaimed. Luui chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. Mother's face glowed with happiness.
"Is she prettier than Tammy?" Mika asked, her voice innocent, but her question catching me off guard. I hesitated, unsure of how to respond.
