Chapter 5
Chapter 3
My next lesson was English, thank goodness. A nice, normal lesson. Then I had S.S, whatever that was, then Training. I didn't like the sound of that, I was never good at Games in school.
I didn't have anyone that I knew in my English class, but Brooke directed me to the English block. After getting lost a few times, I finally made it just before the Ring for second lesson went.
I cued up with the rest of my class, and a rather tall man came out of the classroom. He wore a blue suit and tie underneath his spotless white cloak. He also wore dorky glasses and his forehead glistened.
I lingered near the door whilst everybody went to stand behind their respective seats.
I looked at my feet until I was the only one standing, and I approached the desk at which he sat.
"Sir, I am new here, where should I sit?" He looked at me, blinking as if I had startled him.
"What is your name?"
"Cariad Galon-Gwyn, sir."
He blinked again, raising his eyebrows to peer up at me.
"Galon-Gwyn. Well that's something you don't hear everyday. Sit over there, by Willow." He handed me a copy of Pride and Prejudice along with a thin green book. Of course I had no idea who Willow was, so I shuffled in to general direction the teacher had pointed out. A girl in a white cloak that was cleaner than clean waved to me. I smiled gratefully an slid into the empty seat beside her.
"I'm Willow. It is an absolute pleasure meeting you Cariad." We shook hands. She was so graceful and dainty!
"Thanks, I'm Cariad."
"I know." She laughed, and I stared at her in amazement. I had never heard a laugh so pretty.
Willow was tanned, and tall, but that could be just because her back was so straight. Her hair was a strawberry-blonde, her eyes were hazel.
I wrote my name, the class number and the lesson on my book before returning my attention to the teacher.
"That's Master Caesar. He shifts into a buzzard, but he doesn't do it very often. He always wears a suit, and he is easily startled, as you can tell." We watched as a paper aeroplane was controlled by a gust of Air and followed Master Caesars's movements until he noticed it, and nearly fell out of his chair. I laughed quietly along with the others, but Willow frowned slightly.
"What is it?"
"I do hate it when my fellow Air's mess around. We are not known as comedians, we are known as peacemakers."
She seemed to be very mature.
"Today we will be starting Macbeth-Yes, Jon?" Master Caesar visibly sighed.
Jon was what would be known as a 'player'
in my school. His hair was a reddish-blonde, and perfectly styled. His brown eyes were both alluring and mischievous as he smirked as he did now.
"Do we have to read Macbeth? Why not something more..." His eyes met mine across the classroom. "-Interesting." He finished.
I raised my hand bravely.
"Yes Cariad?" But before I could speak, Jon interrupted me.
"I didn't think you were allowed to call students that Master!" I glared at him.
"That's my name, you idiot. What if we have already read Macbeth, Master?" Calling people Master still felt strange.
"Then just follow along, but don't spoil it for anyone." I think that was a joke, so I smiled tentatively.
"I hate lessons. The only one I like is Etiquette and S.S!" Willow whispered to me.
"We have to do Etiquette?" I groaned in despair.
"Don't be like that. I don't gossip, but if the rumours are true, then you are partly...Air?" She sounded unsure.
"Yeah, but I am so clumsy!"
Willow laughed. "Unbelievable. Do you at least like S.S?"
"I was wondering. What is S.S? I have it next lesson."
She gaped at me. It looked so unusual on her face I giggled.
"S.S is Shape Shifting. What else?"
"What else indeed. As Alice would say, 'Curiouser and Curiouser!'"
"Who is Alice? Do I know her?" I stared for a second before realising that she was serious.
"Alice in Wonderland. Alice Through the Looking Glass? The book. It's a film too. Seriously? You've never heard of it?"
"No. Is it a mortal thing? I heard that you came from a mortal family."
"Yup. It is a 'mortal thing' as you call it. It's a famous mortal thing!"
Sup homies! I joke, I am not a gangster. Or am I... No I'm not. So thanks for reading this! Don't be a silent reader, Vote and Comment to tell me what you think! Thanks guys x
