With wavy, pitch black hair that is always in a braid that runs straight down her back, coffee brown skin, a slender build, a shorter than average height and tattooed serpentine dragons that twist up both arms, Rajani possesses looks typical of the people of her homeland. Well, mostly typical. Her eyes happen to be a striking shade of red, something that often puts people at unease, and her tattoos are done in gold ink rather than the typical black. Most people outside of Palani don't tend to realise the importance of these two traits. Just in case though, the young woman always wears fingerless gloves that completely cover her tattoos. She also wears a loose tunic that typically features embroidery around the hem, neckline and sleeves, simple trousers, sturdy boots, a belt scabbard, leather arm bracers, a bandana made out of a Palanian flag and your stereotypical leather pirate captain's hat

PERSONALITY

Rajani isn't your typical princess. Honestly, she's more of a pirate than a princess. The young woman is a bad*ss warrior and doesn't care who knows it, never backing down when she knows she's right and more than happy to punch out the teeth of any slimy royal advisor who tries to get near her. She is eager for an adventure, often leaping into bar room brawls with the reckless abandon of someone who doesn't plan on living a long life but instead having an exciting one. She knows how to cuss someone out in every language from Elvish to Fairy to Mermish to Common and will do so if someone decides to p*ss her off. Not that that's hard. She has an incredibly short fuse and despises being looked down on, once breaking a man's nose when he accidentally called her 'cute'. She can also drink any of her crew mates under the table, something that often surprises people considering her size.

STRENGTHS

- SWASHBUCKLING: The woman has been living as a pirate since she was 16. Of course she knows her way around a sword. And a ship. And a cannon. And a map. And a pair of pistols. Case in point, she's a d*mn good sailor and will punch anyone who disagrees
- ROYAL BLOOD: While Rajani doesn't like to pull the 'Do you know who my father is?' card, she can pull it in a pinch (or if she needs to trick someone into believing she's a damsel so she can get out of trouble). This also means that she knows the ins and outs of most royal courts
- BRAWLER: She is an expert fighter, often able to take down people twice her size. Problem is (well, problem for her opponents) she usually fights dirty, aiming below the belt and often causing more damage to the area than if a shark bit it

WEAKNESSES

- TEMPER, TEMPER: As stated before, Rajani has a nasty temper, something that often lands her in hot water or in the infirmary for a week to deal with a busted up arm ("He was asking for it!")
- LIQUOR: While the woman can drink most people under the table, when she gets drunk, she gets drunk. She pretty much becomes a totally different person with alcohol in her system... bubbly... friendly... flirty...
- DISTRUSTS MERPEOPLE: Yeah... honestly, this is more because of her occupation than anything else. The number of ships she's lost because of vindictive merpeople... It's somewhere in the double digits

MAGIC? YES OR NO?

Yes. The woman is a master at any spells relating to fire. An odd choice considering she spends 99% of her time on a wooden ship in the middle of the ocean but it is what it is. She never uses her magic though, often claiming she doesn't have any when asked

WEAPONS?

Oh most definitely. At all times, she has on her a pair of pistols, a cutlass, a dagger hidden in each boot and up each sleeve along with one hidden in her hat, a couple cherry bombs and there is a spiked strap braided into her hair so that anyone who tries to grab her hair in a fight is in for a surprise. When 'boarding' another ship, she also carries a boarding axe and a knipple shot

BACKGROUND

As one can probably guess, Rajani wasn't the product of a loving marriage nor grew up in a happy household. Things weren't helped by her eyes, her family immediately recognising what they meant and her father wanting her killed because of them. Thankfully, her mother interceded on her behalf, threatening to cut off the king's... uh... yeah... if he so much as touched her child. Because of her outcast status within the royal household, Rajani had a lot of time to herself, often spending it watching the soldiers train or out on the water sailing. When she was 15 though, while sailing along the coast just outside Sawant (Palani's capital city), she was captured by pirates. And rather than pay the ransom for her release, her father simply told everyone that she had ran away, happy to be free of her. Horrible move on his part, really. Cause by the time news had gotten back to the ship that he wasn't paying, Rajani had endeared herself to the crew and they didn't want to kill such a spitfire. Instead, they began teaching her the ways of the pirate, the girl working her way up the ranks all the way to captain
