Once the other ship landed in the empty field, Sonic Sonia and Manic were ready to sing for the first time in 9 years

" you all ready for this!" Sonic yelled into the microphone, a grin on his muzzle, everyone blinked even Cyrus and Aleena

He then carefully tossed Sonia her medallion and she put it on, but she felt as if a weight had been put on her shoulders

Manic started off and summoned his drum kit, it was different from what it once was, now it was almost identical to his new attire

" wow " Manic stated in awe

Sonia went next, her key board matched her new clothes as well, but it looked more complicated, she just grinned, she like things complicated

Sonic was next, but he went for a different approach, he didn't touch his medallion, because he didn't have it, but in a flash a guitar appeared in his hands, but it looked nothing like his old on

It still gat the double neck, but it went from purple, to royal blue, to navy, then to gold and lastly platinum, much like his forms, but seven coloured gems were attached to the guitar it's self

" way past cool " Sonic grinned, Cyrus laughed softly at the old catch phrase he used to say

Everyone stood in awe, though two figures in the edge of the forest circling the field watched silently, knowing they had to wait

Manic started to drum up a beat, Sonia soon followed in and finally Sonic strum the guitar strings

It started out soft, but then it got harder and harder and then they began to sing

Sonic's eyes had changed to different colours during the performance, now he just stood quietly with tears in his eyes

Manic had felt his brother's emotions though the song, Sonia had noticed this as well

" Sonic?" Manic asked, some of the others hadn't noticed, only Scourge, Zonic, Aleena, Charles, Cyrus and Shadow

Sonic just the took off in a random direction, leaving a sonic boom behind him, everyone looks at each other

" I should've seen this coming " Charles frowned

" what do you mean?" Aleena frowned

" hey where'd Shadow go?" Rouge asked as she looked around

" and Sonia and Manic are gone too " Cyrus stated

{Sonic's Pov}

I just kept running as the tears fell, memories of when I was younger

'Your so immature!' Sonia had shouted

'Me? What about you? Your such a brat!' I had yelled at her

'Can you both please stop arguing?' Manic frowned

'I can do this all myself! You both just get in the way!' I had snapped at them, it's not like I hate them, I just don't want them to get hurt...

'Well maybe you should' Sonia snapped back, Manic was silent

I just turned away from them and began to walk away, but Manic stopped me

'Dude please' he frowned with tears in his eyes

'I can't watch either of you get hurt...' is what I wanted to say but

'Your both just slowing me down' I then ran off, not looking back, I ran for what felt like hours until I reached a giant stone wall

I regret saying that, I felt someone grab me and pull me close to them and I completely broke down

" it's ok...just let it all out " it was Shadow, he had began to pet my quills, it calmed me down slightly

He was the only person I cried in front of...I soon calmed down and I heard Sonia and Manic calling out to me

I didn't answer, but I knew I'd have to apologise for being a jerk to them sooner or later
