I stood on the dock hands fumbling as I waited for one of my best "friends" to arrive, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was gonna go wrong. Actually I couldn't shake these feelings at all! But the thoughts kept running through my mind... what if he doesn't show up? What if he's looking for someone else? What if.... he doesn't li-

"Lexi!" I turned the see Gabriel running straight towards me "Sorry I'm late! I got caught up with some stuff at the castle"

"I-it's fine, I wasn't waiting too long" I nervously chuckled feeling the heat rise up to my face.

"Anyway there was something you needed to talk with me about?" He asked flashing me a smile.

"Oh! Y-yeah, uhhh about that...." I paused a moment... "I just wanted to say... thanks. For all the fun, amazing, scary, sad, and happy moments that we've shared between us and our friends. And I hope one day once all the chaos as passed we can all still stand together as friends."

"Awww, thanks Lexi" he softly smiled "I really appreciate it, but I'm fairly certain you didn't just invite me here for that" he smirked

"W-well there was also one other thing I had to tell y-you...."I stuttered. WHY IS HE SO HOT

"And that is..?"

"I....."

"GABRIEL YOU PROMISED THAT WE WOULD HAVE ANOTHER TRAINING SESSION TONIGHT" and just like that, the annoying Fox thing came storming her way down the dock crushing my chances of that confession "did ya really forget dingus?!"

Gabriel slightly frowned at the intruder "Sorry Uni, Lexi said she needed to have a private conversation with me and-"

"Oh wait shoot I was interrupting a crucial plot point?"

(OH ASTERA THE FORTH WALL)

"Oh shoot sorry, I didn't know you were doing... whatever the heck you were doing" Uni said slowly backing away down the dock.

"It's fine" I slowly sighed

"Anyway back to what you were saying"

"Ummm...." I immediately became flustered but came to a mental decision of what to do "actually I think you should go catch up to Uni. We can talk more about this another time. Besides when is that girl not getting herself into trouble when she's alone?"

"Fair point" Gabriel chuckled "I'll see ya around"

I waited till Gabriel was gone for sure then turned my gaze toward the now setting sun "I guess I'm just not quiet there yet, huh?" I sighed "one say ill be good enough to be the one for you Gabriel, I promise"
