Arushi's POV

Finally after a long tiring flight we have reached the Bali airport now. I just cant believe it's going to be a year to our wedding tomorrow. It's just so surreal that we have overcome so many up's and downs in just a span of 365days.

After hailing the cab that was waiting for us we finally reached the beach resort in Ubud. The bellboy guided us towards a private villa which left me flabbergasted. All the wooden interiors, the soft mattress and the mesmerizing outside view of the beach it all looked just like a dream.

"Liking it already are you?" I heard Vikrant's voice and felt his arms wrap around my waist as I stood in front of the huge glass window watching the sun drown into the sea.

"Loving it"

"Freshen up and I'll order something for us to eat then we need to sleep."

'Sleep?' is this man serious? I know we have had a long journey but we are on our honeymoon right? and who sleeps at 7pm?

"Are we here to sleep?" I turned around rolling my eyes at Mr. Husband.

"Are we not?"

"Duhhh"

"Just joking Mrs. Shergill. But yes we are going to sleep soon because we have something interesting to do in the mid-night." he said giving me a sheepish grin.

What is it that can happen only in the mid-night for which we need to sleep now? Wait...Am I thinking right? Is he thinking about having s...

"Stop thinking so much your brain will blast...and no I am not thinking about what you are thinking. Its a surprise. Go freshen up." Vikrant said throwing a towel towards me.

I have seriously gone mad. My brain always keeps imagining all the naughty stuff...Arrrgggghhhhh.

"Happy Anniversary Lifey." I heard his hoarse voice as he pulled me closer by my waist and snuggled more into my neck.

"Happy anniversary to you too Mr. Husband." I said and i could feel his wet kisses trailing down my neck and shoulder.

I opened my eyes and the clock showed 1.30am. Shitttt

"Vikrant you said we need to be ready by 2.00am its already 1.30." I sat up with a sudden jerk. Yes my husband dearest has asked me to be ready at freaking 2am in the midnight for i don't know what but I am sure whatever the surprise is it is going to be amazing.

"It's fine...you don't have to panic so much. Just dress up in some casuals with sport shoes."

"Ya Ya fine" I said hurriedly and went in to get dressed.

Exactly in the next half hour I was ready. I wore a tank top and a denim jacket while I saw Vikrant was dressed in a T-shirt and shorts. Though it isn't very cold out there but Vikrant has packed a bag with some warm cloths I wonder why.

As we walked out of the resort a cab was waiting for us. I was feeling very sleepy and I did not realise when I fell asleep.

"Wake up baby." I heard his voice and felt his cold fingers caress my cheeks. It was almost 3.30am now and we had reached a camp kind of place. As I stepped out of the cab I read a dimly lit board.

'MOUNT BATUR SUNRISE TREK' it read.

Wow....we were here for a trek. As adventures as it sounds It is going to be equally tiring. And this place looks so deserted I wonder why? As much as I have known this place is a great tourist attraction.

"Why is this place so deserted there are no other people to trek?" I questioned him out of curiosity.

"Nope...Its just you and me who is going to be there on the top if that mountain." He said pointing his finger somewhere in the sky...maybe that is where the peak was which i could hardly see due to the pitch black dark sky.

Vikrant has always loved sunrises that's something that fascinates him I guess. And now I know why were those warm cloths packed. It is actually much colder here than it was around the beach area.

After a short safety briefing we started our trek. It was just the two of us and a guide ofcourse. After almost two hours of trek we were finally about to reach the peak.

"Stop" Vikrant stopped me from climbing further. We were too tired after trekking so much so maybe he wanted to rest for a while but I want to reach the peak as soon as we can I don't want to miss the sunrise.

"Vikrant just a little more distance and we will reach. Lets rest there please." I said looking at him but he was busy digging out something from his pocket.

"I dint stop you to rest. I stopped to blindfold you." He said covering my eyes with a red piece of cloth.

"How am I going to walk ahead Vikrant? Have you gone mad?" I tried resisting him

"Why fear when I am here. You trust me right?"

I just nodded my head in affirmation.

"Then come lets go." He said and held my hand firmly helping me walk further.

After a few minutes I felt the cloth loosen around my eyes. When I blinked open my eyes I was left spellbound with what lay in front of me. It seemed like I stood between a sea of clouds. The sunrise came as if it had missed the sky and wanted nothing more than to warm up those blues to a radiant gold. And some mountain peaks looked like far off islands between the sea of clouds. It was just so mesmerizing.

"Happy Anniversary Mrs. Shergill." I heard his voice as he hugged me from behind.

"This is way more beautiful than what I thought It would be." I said still lost in the beauty of the sky which looked like a masterpiece by an artist.

"But its still nothing in front of my wife." He said kissing me on my cheek making me turn crimson red. All I did was to turn around and hug him as tight as I could. At this minute all I know is that there is nothing that can replace him in my life. He is the Sun who brought the brightest light to my life making it just too perfect.

He pulled me out of the hug and what came next was just so unexpected.

"You know Arushi I've honestly fallen deeply in love with you and I am not afraid to say it. We have been through thick and thin and we are still going strong. I can't imagine my life without you by my side. I am crazy about you and I can't even explain all these feelings inside of me. All I can say is

I will love you when you're happy.

I will love you when you're sad.

I will love you when you cry.

I will love you when you smile.

I will love you when we sleep.

I will love you when we argue.

I will love you when you love me

I will love you when you don't but most importantly I will love you always.

I will love you forever....."

With every word that left his mouth a fresh tear rolled down my cheek. All I know is those aren't just words they are the true emotions that he has for me infact those are the feelings we have for each other.

As I stood there completely numb he slides down a heart shaped pendent on my neck and all that I am doing is crying and smiling like an idiot. He placed a kiss on my forehead making cold chills run down my spine.

I stood like a dumb doll even when Vikrant held my hand and took me towards a table where I found a beautiful vanilla cake.

'1year down forever to go.' was written on it.

As we cut the cake and fed each other I felt the need to say something.

"You know Vikrant You show me that you love me just by looking at me like I am the most beautiful woman alive. You can’t keep your eyes off of me, no matter who is around. There are times when we’re together, we’ll be out at a restaurant or maybe just at home, sitting on the couch or going about our days, and I’ll look over at you and I’m struck by how much I love you. It’s just like the first time. I see you and it hits me. Only now, unlike the first time, I realize how incredibly lucky I am to have you."

And the next minute I felt his sweet cream coated lips against mine. My heart pounded in my chest as my knees got weaker. I could only focus on how soft he felt against my mouth, how addictively he was invading all my senses.

So finally I am back.

Since I was in my final year of engineering my exams were suddenly announced and out of no choice I had to study 6months syllabus in hardly 6days. Which kept me hooked like hell.

Now that my exams are finally over. I am back here with new chapters for you guys.
