Chapter 5: The Saiyans Arrive
The Battle against the Saiyans is about to begin. On with the show.
"Well, well, well, 4 shrimps have of come to challenge us." Nappa sneered.
"They must have been preparing for us." Vegeta said.
Goha scooted a little closer to Gohan and tried her best to not look scared. Gohan reached for his sister's hand and held it in reassurance. She had been brave for him, now it was his turn to be brave for her.
"So you four have been waiting for us." Vegeta spoke.
"I'll say this once and once only, forget your business here and leave this planet." Piccolo warned them.
"Vegeta, I think he's a Namekian." Nappa said.
"What's a Namekian?" Goha asked.
"That explains how Raditz had been killed, Nappa."
"So Piccolo's some sort-of alien then?" Gohan asked Goha.
Goha shrugged. "I mean it makes sense doesn't it?" Goha asked. "He's not exactly your average joe you know?"
"Hey Nappa, don't we have six Sabimen left?"
"Oh, I like the way you think Vegeta! So twisted." Nappa took a little bottle out from his pocket. "Yep, six left." He put six small holes in the ground and then placed one little seed into each hole. Nappa then placed some strange goop over each one. Soon, six strange green creatures came up from the ground, ready to fight.
"Your targets are the four fighters in front of you. Attack them and don't hold anything back." Vegeta instructed.
Before the fighting began though, Tien and Chazuo showed up. "Tien! Chazuo!" Krillin said with a grin.
"Sorry we're a little late," Tien said. He then glanced over at Gohan and Goha. "They must be Goku's children correct?"
"Yep, that's them." Krillin answered.
Last to arrive was Yamcha.
"Isn't this a surprise?" Vegeta said cockily. "Seven of you and six of our Sabimen." Vegeta looked over at Goha, making her shrink behind Gohan. "Seems about even. How about each of you take a turn fighting one of our Sabimen? I'll even let the two brats fight together. It will make for an amuzing game."
"Do you honestly think that we will abide by your terms?! You must be insane!" Piccolo growled.
"Hold on a second Piccolo," Krillin interjected. "It might not be such a bad idea to do this. It'll give Goku time to get here."
"I'll go first then." Tien said.
Gohan and Goha watched in intent, wondering what Tien was going to do. Tien had no problem fighting the Sabiman. He didn't even break a sweat fighting the little creature. There were a few close calls but Tien was able to hold his own; after all, he was once Goku's strongest rivals. Soon, Tien knocked the Sabiman to the ground, making a crevice in the ground.
"All right Tien." Chazuo cheered after Tien's fight was over.
"Awesome." Goha and Gohan spoke at the same time. (Twin moment).
Just when it seemed that Tien had claimed victory, the Sabiman began to get up. It looked like he was going to attack when Vegeta destroyed it himself, surprising everyone.
"Vegeta, what was that for?" Nappa asked.
"The earthling already won," Vegeta explained. "There was no point in the fight to continue." He then turned to the remaining Sabimen. "Your comrade didn't follow orders. I expect you to win no matter what."
If that is how he treats his allies, then we can expect no mercy to come from him. Piccolo thought.
"Now, which one of you earthlings will go next?" Vegeta asked.
"I'll go." Krillin spoke.
"Krillin, let me go." Yamcha told him.
Krillin tried to convince Yamcha other wise but Yamacha wasn't going to have it. He knew Krillin had already been brought back to life once. He couldn't be brought back again but Yamcha knew that if anything happened to him he could be brought back, even though he wasn't too fond of thinking that he would die.
With that, Yamcha took his stance and prepared for battle against the Sabiman. Then, with lightning fast speed, he and the Sabiman engaged in combat.
"They disappeared!" Gohan and Goha shouted.
"Wrong, they're moving at quick speeds that everyone else can see." Piccolo told his two pupils. "You have to feel for them."
"Feel for them?" Goha asked.
She and Gohan concentrated for a moment until they finally were able to see Yamcha and the Sabiman fighting each other. They seemed evenly matched at some points and then one seemed to be beating the other at other points. It went back and forth; Yamcha, Sabiman, Yamcha, no Sabiman, no Yamcha again! The battle was tough but finally Yamcha used a Kamehameha to send the Sabiman into a crater. It looked like another easy win.
Meanwhile, at Master Roshi's, everyone was watching the TV and cheered when they saw that Yamcha had won the fight. "All right Yamcha!" Puar cheered.
"That's my boyfriend!" Bulma said as she held little Chinku in her lap.
"Yamcha, Yamcha." Chinku cheered with her little fist in her mouth.
"That's right Chinku, Yamcha beat that guy to the ground!" Bulma told the little toddler.
Back at the battlefield, Yamcha smirked at his accomplishment. "These guys aren't so tough," he bragged. "I'll save my friends the trouble and take on the remaining 4."
Vegeta then smirked. "I think you're the one who's underestimating things." Vegeta spoke.
Just then, the Sabiman in the crater jumped out and wrapped itself around Yamcha. "Get off me you little-" Yamcha struggled in the hold.
Suddenly, the Sabiman exploded, engulfing Yamcha in the blast. When the dust settled, the Sabiman was nothing but dust and Yamcha was lifeless on the ground.
"Yamcha!" Krillin shouted as he ran to his friend. Krillin placed his ear towards Yamcha's heart and nearly stopped breathing; Yamcha had no heartbeat. Krillin sat up slowly and tried his best to hold back tears. "Guys, Yamcha's gone. We lost him."
At Master Roshi's, Puar was at the TV screen, crying. "Yamcha no! Please get up! Don't leave Yamcha!" Puar sobbed.
Bulma was in absolute shock. She had tears in her eyes and tried to think straight. This has to be a dream, this has to be! she thought. Yamcha can't be dead! He just can't be!
Little Chinku looked up at Bulma and grabbed the young woman by the arm. "No cry Bulma," she told her. "Yamcha just sleepy."
That really got to the scientific genius and caused her to pick up little Chinku and cry.
Chinku was confused about the whole situation. To her, it just seemed like Yamcha was napping. Why was everyone so upset about Yamcha napping?
Back at the battlefield, Gohan and Goha held closely to each other and tried their best not to cry. They had to be brave. They knew that something like that would happen but they still were surprised. Gohan was more frightened than Goha, considering Goha had witnessed her Father die. Still, death was a hard pill to swallow, especially for two 5-year olds.
"You knew something like this would happen, didn't you?" Krillin asked Yamcha's corpse. "Why'd you have to go play the hero huh?! What am I suppose to tell Puar and Bulma?!"
"What the heck?! I didn't ask for a draw, I asked for a win!" Nappa complained.
"Silence Nappa," Vegeta demanded. "Let the little man clean this trash off the battlefield."
Krillin clenched his teeth with rage as he stood up. "How dare you," he growled. "Stand back guys, I'll take care of these creeps." He turned and looked back at Yamcha's body. "This for you buddy." The once pupil of Master Roshi got into a fighting stance and prepared himself for an attack that got the others wondering one question; what was Krillin planning to do?
Yamcha's dead! Now Krillin's power will be tested against the Saiyans. What does he plan to do? Find out next time. Please comment and vote on the story. Oh, and share it with your friends if you could.
