After arriving at the compound, you are first greeted by the sight. While primarily underground, there is a large glass dome protruding from the earth. If you were to climb onto it, you would see a sitting room. Nothing fancy, truly. Just a receiving room of sorts, but it was there as a rouse.

You stand there, waiting. Surely someone would come out. But the concrete was smooth, not so much as a chip. Then it happens, a door swings out, bidding you entry. Then a voice.

"Come in. They're waiting for you."

You're led through the halls, passing by a glass pane. Looking out, you can see straight down. Story after story of lights, of farms, of labs. So this is what the most brilliant people in the world had been working on. And they had called upon you of everyone in the world.

They lead you to a room to shower, to discard your old clothes. Maybe you hang on to something. A necklace, a pair of shoes. Things are provided of course, but you just can't bear to part with everything. But maybe you can.

You get led once more into another room. Another sitting room. Not the big fancy one visible from the outside, but a different one. An enclosed one. One that has four blank white walls, the only color coming from the slate gray chairs sitting in the middle, and a table with a computer screen. Have you ever seen one before?

The door closes and you are left alone.
