Chapter 2: Interesting

Sakura and her father stood before a aesthetic gate embedded with gold, and a luxuriant edifice, filled with students of different ages, chatting joyously, while children played in the dewy grass. All of them have different age groups, and different appearances with lavish clothing, from premium clothing branches, making the little blossom insecure of her appearance. She wore a baggy unisex pants, and a simple green T-shirt, as her father wore a gray polo and maong pants, that looked slightly better than Sakura's choice of clothing. Though, her father's formal clothing, it was nothing compared to their class.

Both Harunos fell into deep anxiousness.

"Y-you ready to go in, Oto-san?" Sakura questioned anxiously.

"H-hai"

"Hai! Ibiki-san!"

Ibiki returned her cheerful smile and took a card from his tuxedo and placed it in the delicate hands of the pinkette.

"That's all the information you'll need. See you at the principal's office."

Sakura looked at Ibiki before looking at the contents of the card. It says the full address and contact number, as Sakura looked up again and saw Ibiki waving her off and walked away.

They expected to meet other students piercing glares and disbelieving looks from the students, but unknowingly, they gave them a welcoming smile, and friendly greetings and 'welcome's from the students as they went back to their richly activities.

Both father and daughter sweat dropped and fastened their pace to the principal's office. That went unexpectedly well, thought the little blossom. They walked to the foyer, with the school crest of a golden swan. Sakura wandered her eyes at every corner of this school, astounded by the expense the school paid. As she and her father continued their journey to the principal's office, Sakura met a familiar face of a lavendered hair girl, fidgeting with a boy in glasses, and a wild boy with a dog.

"Hinata?" Sakura recalled, catching the shy girl's attention.

"S-Sakura-chan?" Hinata's companions turned to her friends gaze and met a familiar pinkette they once fought with a week ago.

"Sakura-san!" Kiba ran over to her followed by Shino and Hinata. "Fancy meeting you here! We heard you won the finals last week! Congratulations!"

"Congrats, Sakura-chan." Hinata said softly.

"Arigatou, minna-san!" She said. "You and friends did really well at the contests!"

Kiba scratched the back his head shyly, while Hinata flushed with embarrassment.

"A-arigatou, Sakura-chan"

"Oh, by the way, what are you doing here, Sakura-san?" Kiba asked. "We heard that you went to a different school."

"Well it's just that, Morino-san offered me to study under his wing, and be his apprentice."

Silence.

"Eh!"

The three stood agape before Kiba managed to recover. "H-how?"

"Sugoi! You must be really smart to catch his attention, Sakura-chan" Hinata implied softly, losing the stutter in her voice.

"Wait, what's apprentice?" Kiba asked dumbly, as Sakura mentally facepalmed.

"Why were you so shocked then?" Sakura retorted.

"The word is complicated, so it automatically means it's something important."

And again facepalm.

Sakura completely forgot her father's presence, and her long walk to the office, considering how big it is. "Ah, sorry guys. I'll talk to you later. Gotta meet with Ibiki-san"

Sakura waved at them before walking away hand in hand with her father, who seems oddly quiet.

Minutes pasted, and she and her father still can't locate the office. She walked past large gold-embedded doors(as usual) that labelled, Music Room, Science Lab, Bathroom?.

You've got to be kidding me? A toilet that big.

Then came a door labelled Akatsuki, as she saw a handsome ravenette, with long hair that's tied to a loose pony tail, as he scrolled through the clipboard on his arms. She didn't notice her face starting to heat up as her father immediately noticed and nudged her teasingly and shrugged him off.

"Oto-san, you think we should ask for directions?" Sakura asked the warmth withdrawing from her face.

"Go ahead, sweetie!" He said teasingly, as Sakura growled at him. She walked up to the tall man, no older than 15, and gently called him.

"Um, mister?" He turned around, and saw no one, until he looked down to see an unfamiliar pinkette.

"May I help you?" He asked neutrally.

"Actually, I'm meeting someone in the principal's office, and me and my father kept wandering around for 30 minutes straight. So I was wondering if you would kindly introduce the directions to the office, it would be great help" Sakura said unemotionally, as if not knowing who he is.

"Aniki! A girl beated me in Aikido" Sasuke whined. "Please don't be disappointed, Aniki"

Itachi sighed. "Of course, not. It must be a really tough competition? Is it not?"

"Well it was tricky but she was really good! But I almost beaten her, just th~is much." Sasuke gestured his fingers in a small gap. Itachi was dumbfounded by his words.

"She? Her?"

Sasuke poutedly glanced at him. "Yeah, she has this pink hair, and green eyes. And she said she's going to Konoha Academy by Morino-san."

Itachi was even more dumbfounded.

"Morino-san? The chairman of Konoha Academy?" Itachi questioned. This subject really took his interest.

"Well, yeah, I guess so" Sasuke groaned in the couch, and slouched lazily. "Still annoyed that I've been beaten by a girl. But she is nice, but scary when she's serious."

"Interesting"

Itachi was astounded by the maturity of her patterns of speech. It took a lot to impress, Itachi. Her ways to present herself are so mature than normal children her age, because he had a younger brother himself, just her age, who acted more childish than this girl. Though, this girl-

She has pink hair, and green eyes

Itachi stared at her once more, while Sakura just crossed her arms and tapped her feet impatiently, as if not noticing his presence. He intensified his glare, expecting her to atleast turn away, but did not. She returned the glare in serious, but unrude expression.

"Of course, I'll have the school map given to you in just a moment." Itachi finally said. He clapped his hands twice as a man with a perfectly good appearance gave him a a folded paper. He handed the paper, assuming it was the school map, she took it.

"Thank you...."

"Itachi." He introduced. "Itachi Uchiha."

Sakura's smile straightened into a thin line. "U-Uchiha?"

Uchiha raised a brow at the young pinkette. "Is there something wrong?" So she didn't knew who I was?

"N-no, it's just that- are you somewhat related to Sasuke? Sasuke Uchiha?"

"Of course, he's my younger brother."Itachi know knew why she was baffled by his surname. She knows Sasuke, and he mentioned something about this 'Sakura' girl that beated him in the Aikido nationals tournament. This kid is tougher than he thought. Well, now he knows not to judge a book by it's cover, especially a book with interesting contents.

Sakura's smile still intact, her face suddenly lit up. Itachi yet raised another eyebrow.

"Oh, okay then" she put up her signature smile and waved goodbye, as she appraoched her father. They whispered something inaudible, and Sakura blushed and punched her dad playfully and walked to the other side of the hallway.

Itachi let out a 'hn' and continued his previous work before he was interrupted.

~•~

Sakura held out the large paper in front, following the directions of the map, while her father traipsed behind, like a dog on a leash. Though, that was not the case. He let his daughter be independent most of the time, for useful purposes in the future. When her mother died, she'd do all the grocery shopping, while her father will hide behind an aisle, observing her if she was in a dire situation. Eventually, she would notice and let him tag along. To be frank, he just came here just because it was needed to bring a guardian when inside the school premises. He trusted his daughter enough to go out of the house and do anything on her own will, but she hasn't done nothing that's unbeneficial to her and her father's lifestyle needs. She'd always put other people before herself. Her personality is what he loved the most about her daughter, just like Mebuki.

He smiled at the thought, as he watched his daughter reading the map, like a pro. And only in a matter of minutes, they encountered the largest door in the corridor labelled Principal's Office with small writings on the bottom, that was hardly visible. When she finally deciphered the tiny words it said: Enter at your own risk.

Sakura sweat dropped and turned to her father who was staring out into the window, watching kids playing outside. Oh, how he missed the time when Sakura was immature and innocent.

He noticed Sakura's awkward stare and he slowly shifted towards her, awkwardly. "Soooooo, shall we?" He gestured to the door.

Sakura knocked on the door and heard a deep feminine voice say 'come in' and the door opened, as they introduced themselves in. Two men closed the door and stood in front of it as they held up their posture in a proffesional manner.

A busty, blond woman scribbled her sign on a paper and gently placed it on one of the two piles and took another piece from the other pile, filling paper work all over her desk.

"Excuse me, Ma'am."Sakura started as unemotionally as ever. She eventually, caught the attention of the busty, blond as she placed her finished work in the pile and set aside her expensive looking quill in the space of the desk that isn't occupied by paper. She removed her reading glasses and set them beside the quill.

"With all due respect, I don't know if Morino-san had informed you, but he asked me to become his apprentice and study under his wing. He offered me full scholarship" Sakura said.

Tsunade's eyes widened. She didn't exoect Ibiki to simply just offer a full-time scholarship. Especially at Konoha Academy. Unless, this girl is more than capable of prodigal things. Ibiki wouldn't have set eyes on someone not worth noticing. And the way she used 'with all due respect'. She is a very interesting one indeed.

"Oh, is that so?" She said as a matter of factly. "I'll have Ibiki alerted right away. I would like to have your guardian's phone number to inform you of the details of exchanging schools." Tsunade gave her a form, containing full name, address, contact number, parent's signature, and student's signature.

"Of course." Sakura looked at her father, as he approached her fully loaded desk. He filled out all the blank information, except student's signature and handed it over to Sakura, who scribbled her name in cursive writing.

"Thank you, I'll give the details when me and Ibiki conversed this 'apprenticeship' thoroughly. We look forward to having you here Sakura, isn't it? Why don't you get familiar with your sorroundings before you go, and please feel free to stay in the school premises for as long as you like." Tsunade implied kindly.

"Thank you...-" Sakura paused and took a sneaking glance at her (usual) gold embedded name plate at the front of her desk. "Tsunade-sama"

Tsunade gave her a warm smile. She genuinely enjoyed such polite students like her. It would be interesting if she saw her improvement in the future if she continued to study here.

Sakura and her father bowed in respect, before letting themselves out. The guards opened the 10 foot door and stood aside as they exited hand in hand.

Tsunade sat back down to her black leather chair, took the fancy quill, and contonued her endless stack of paperwork.
