I'm serious. I just found out that my double pink eye can last anywhere from a few days to two weeks to a month or longer. And I'm pissed off because I'm missing a friend's 16th birthday party and I wanted to be there because turning 16 is a pretty big milestone for us girls. Because of, you know, sweet 16 birthday parties and being old enough to drive.

Speaking of sweet 16 birthday parties, my parents were making fun of my friend's birthday party because we live in a small town and everyone here is basically the same -- white, religious, and they don't like their kids out late. My friend's party is from 2-6 PM and my mom was poking fun at that because she lived in a place where she saw fights in school every single day. And I can tell you right now that I've never witnessed an actual fight. I've seen the aftermath of one but I don't think that it really counts.

Anyway, my parents were saying that my sweet 16 is going to be the exact opposite of a typical my town party. It's going to be from sometime to eleven PM and they're going to get a DJ and I'm going to invite my entire grade and they'll have to bring their invitations to get in. I told them that we would have to have it at a club or something and they said that we would and that I have to have a theme.

So yeah. There's my little talk about future sweet 16 birthday plans.
