(Luzes POV)

Looking at rose in the rearview mirror I sigh.. it's been months since rose had been enrolled into kindergarten.. and each time I drop her off I feel my heart crack. Swallowing the lump in my throat as I pull into the parking lot I help rose out of the car, she grips my hand tighter than usual. Picking her up I smile at her, she looks nervous

"Mami.. I'm scared.."

Kissing her forehead I smile, pulling her short hair away from her face she smiles

"Don't be mi hija! I will be here to pick you up.. and if I'm not you can turn into a bear and slap me-"

Hugging me tightly she giggles, setting her down I pat her bat backpack.

"Go have fun mini messenger.. it'll be a great day"

Running off I begin to wipe a tear away when she turns to face me, swiftly smiling I see I can't mask my sadness. She hugs my legs as tight as she can, causing my heart to shatter to her adorable manner, rejoining her class into the hall I wait till she's inside to turn around and wipe away the held back tear. Driving to MS I wait a few hours before heading to lunch, resting my head on the table I sigh. Looking up at raven and amber bolting to me across the room, looking at their excited demeanors I sigh. Amber suddenly says excited in the half filled lunchroom

"We're engaged!!"

Waving my hand dismissively I turn my head to hide my face into my crossed arms, amity's hand rubs my back as I say quietly still in a dismissive manner

"That's great.. congratulations- I'm glad for you.."

Amber immediately goes on the defensive and begins to say loudly

"Hey luz! What the hell is your pro-"

Quickly raven covers her mouth, resting on me amity hugs me. Before I can process my back starts heaving like I'm sobbing as I start slightly hyperventilating, groaning sadly I lean into amity's embrace.

"I'm sorry amber.. I should've told you sooner but ever since rose was placed in kindergarten, luz can't really handle the missing hours she should be spending with her.. she feels like it's ripped a hole out of her"

Lifting up my head swiftly I breathe in heavily and wipe the tears away, standing up I look down at amity

"It's not just that.. she's being bullied now.."

Amity looks at me shocked and I start waving my hands like I'm explaining something large.. it is to me.

"When I dropped her off this morning I was shocked when she said "I'm scared" both you- amity and raven know rose runs in as quickly as her teacher will let her, she had sulked to the line today and when she noticed me still there- she ran up and hugged me again.. she was the last to enter class."

Clenching my hands in fists I sit back down, angrily rubbing my eye I say pained and irritated

"That's my baby amber- she's barely in kindergarten and she's being bullied! It makes me so.. so angry! But because she's legally my daughter in legal state records I can't just keep her home.. I wish I could just take her to hexside.. she recently found out her magic is real- despite jess saying it isn't- and she's.. oh my god amber.. she's so excited"

Chuckling softly at the memories of rose conjuring spells I rest my hands on my lap, picking up my ringing phone with an eyebrow raised I answer the phone.

"Yes..?"

The attendant briefs me that rose is in the principal's office and requires both me and amity to talk about some issues, muttering a swift 'alright' I look at amity

"It's rose amity, somethings happened and she's in the principal's office"

Going to the attendance woman at the front desk I say gently with a smile

"Hey beth.. me and amity need to be excused- our daughter is a bit of a clutter and we're required to go solve things. Can you do that please?"

She panics to my unusually soft tone her face getting red, nodding she says quickly

"N-no problem!"

Amity waves kindly to her with a chuckle, Beth's face goes even redder. Walking to the student's garages amity says with a chuckle

"We really need to stop teasing that poor woman luz- next thing you know in college she'll ask us both out"

Looking down a moment I nod, getting into the driver's seat I wait till amity is in to pull out. Pulling into the visitors parking we head to the principal's office, suddenly glaring at the principal when rose has a large bruise stretching over her cheek I sit down. He pulls out a phone and plays a video, watching a girl get angry at rose for borrowing a pencil too long I stand up when I see rose doing nothing but protecting her face I ask sternly

"What does this have to do with rose?! She's doing nothing to her- and what the HELL is the teacher doing filming it?!!"

He crosses his arms and goes to say

"Fighting is unacceptab-"

But I cut him off with a wave of my hand

"No- rose wasn't fighting nothing in there shows her laying her hands on something other than herself, this is kindergarten for christ sake! And amity I suggest you take rose to the car"

She nods and guides rose outside, smiling to try and hide my anger I say quietly bitterness lacing my tone.

" I don't know what deal you have with the noceda's- but you in particular have done this again.. and again- to my family"

Pressing my pointer and middle onto the desk as I say 'again and again' and continue

"first my cousin.. then me- and now.. both her's and my kids are through the same treatment. My daughter is no longer apart of your school.. I thought in a public school my girl would have a better chance at getting friends- hell.. MorterSporr sounds a hell of a lot better."

Looking at me offended that I mentioned MS I gently close his door after saying bitter and disgusted

"Have a nice day-"

Roughly landing in the driver's seat I turn around and say with a smile

"How does hexside sound rosie??"

Amity looks at me shocked then suddenly her face lights up in a smile, rose instantly looks at me like I'd just bought her the world. Beginning to cry she laughs while doing so, rose nods and continues to wipe tears away.

Carrying rose into MS into the common room I sit onto the couch with her on my lap, amity leans against me. Looking at amber I pass rose to amity heavily patting amber's back I smirk,

"Congrats you two! I'm sorry for my previous behavior amber, I wasn't.. really in reality in that moment. But seriously, I'm happy for you two!"

Hugging me gratefully I smile gently, pointing at raven I say quite stern

"Don't go and get her pregnant like the flash running from Chicago to California"

Raven crosses their arms and asks blankly

"Ah and rose doesn't count?"

Not even answering I look at the two nineteen year olds- they weren't held back or anything- just born in summer- amber coughs slightly, looking at her she says discreetly

"That's well- uhm... I forgot you took rose to the park that day- that's a quarter of the reason why we are luz"

Looking down at amber her poor five five ass then to raven who is- bulky, almost six foot three, and a birdman. Patting her shoulder I say in a loud mutter as I go to rejoin amity

"I send my condolences to your entire pelvic area amber-"

Suddenly hearing amber snort I turn around to face raven and suddenly ask

"Didn't you say once before that you were born with both?"

They nod confused

" I know it's like a- I dunno weird subject. Amity take rose upstairs please-"

Hearing amity head upstairs she soon rejoins me, looking at raven demanding answers I continue

"Couldn't you like somehow- get yourself pregnant? I know it's super fucking weird but- it just got stuck in my mind"

Amber starts dying of laughter as does amity, raven shrugs and says now honestly interested on the subject

"Dude?- I've.. never tried- like.. Could I clone myself??"

Instantly pressing a hand to their flat chest I warn

"Never try it- it might end up quite bad"

They think about it a moment and nod understanding me. Checking my watch I silently excuse myself, taking amity's extended hand we walk upstairs, heading inside I smile at rose passed out in the middle of the bed. Pulling amity and rose into our ritualistic position under the covers I smile and shut my eyes,

"I'm glad she's going to learn magic luz.."

Leaning my head against amity's I smile

"Me too..."

Walking into the owl house rose still asleep in my arms I smile at eda, lilith walks into the room from the front door. She looks at me- then to rose..

"No- fuck that luz! You're not dropping a kid off and leaving."

Rose wakes up with loud whining, looking at lilith offended I say quickly to calm her.

"She's going to hexside lilith"

Walking out the door with a quick 'bye mom!' we head to hexside, walking into the huge school I look wide eyed at Willow and gus in preppy uniforms, all brought in with staffs. They catch eyes with me,

"Hey luz!"

Joining me I watch as several students catch eyes with me, leaning down to Willow I ask

"How..uh- popular am I? Kids are staring"

A rough hand slams on my back making me completely lose my breath, coughing I look up at boscha

"Well- you're the youngest blight's daughter's fiancee.. and you're the first human to ever conjure spells-"

Raising my eyebrow as to why everyone recently has been calling me amity's fiancee, my eyes fall over the still ever so beautiful ring it dons on me... oh that sneaky girl- these are too fancy to be promise rings. Setting rose down she looks around the large school, quickly waving to them I lead rose to the principal's office. He looks at me and says hopefully

"Ah.. miss noceda- have you come to take your last year and finally earn your palisman?"

Shaking my head no I lift rose onto my lap

"I've actually come to enroll my daughter- she's a great listener and loves school.. for the most part"

He smiles gently and looks at rose, she presses to me not sure how to process his face

"Ah.. it's ok little one, I'm quite the kind hearted person- I'll let you choose whichever tracts you want"

Filling out the enrollment sheet I watch her examine the room, sliding it to him he summons a uniform onto rose the sleeves and pants light gray like all the 'baby class' five year olds. Standing up he leads us outside for a mini tour, walking around the hallways of the baby and first class classrooms. He leads her into a specific classroom filled with other five year olds, he clears his throat to announce his presence

"Ladies, gentlemen I've come to bring a new student into your class.. this is Rose Noceda-Blight, I expect your full respect for her much like your respect for eachother.. and please don't huddle- she can turn into a dragon"

Giving her a little pat on the back I smile, walking in the teacher shows her to a desk. Waving to her I create an illusion to say

'I'll pick you up I promise'

She nods and creates a small spell that rotates the tracts powers and symbols, walking to the front I bump into amity

"Hey! I thought you were with mom"

She smiles gently and asks

"Did it go well?"

Taking her into the market place I explain the entire experience, walking up to a new bakery in cerulean blue I point at it with a smile. Heading inside amity stops in her tracks as she sees her mom working with a customer, laying eyes on us. Trapping us in a hug with a squeal, pulling back I have to double check to see if it's even odalia- her hair is no longer in a tight bun, but a loose ponytail. Every bit of makeup except mascara is removed and she has small rectangular glasses. Amity looks at her mom happily and says complimenting

"You look.. beautiful mom"

She sits down and we join her, looking up she suddenly frowns

"Thank you amity.. I earned this look about a week after I got divorced with your father- he's not in the best state of mind. And I got a smaller house, that manor was killing me."

Chuckling softly I smile at odalia, she grabs my hand and looks at the ring

"Please don't doom me to grandkids yet- Emira has already crossed a line with norma and Edric with his twin boys eros and ares... I suppose I can give hunter some slack- he's an amazing dad to the boys"

Remembering the second blight girl in rose's classroom I smile, shaking my head I say

"I'm sorry but.. I believe you'll adore rose odalia"

Checking my watch a few hours later I stand up,

"I gotta pick up rose, wanna join us odalia?"

Thinking a moment she nods, flipping the sign to say 'closed' she follows us to hexside. Waiting outside I see rose walking with the two-toned green haired norma, talking happily with her cousin. Her eyes lock with mine, lifting up rose when she runs to me I smile

"How was it rosie??"

Seeing two other obvious blight three year old boys walk out they run to hug odalia at the legs, rose looks at odalia and points at her

"That's Mama's mother rose, she's your grandma"

Instantly reaching out to hug odalia she nervously takes her into her arms, hugging her tightly I watch odalia go from 'great a fourth' to complete adoration for her.

"Oh she's so adorably precious amity... I absolutely love her"

From the corner of my eye I see Emira and Edric walk up to pick up their kids, turning to ed I smirk at his face filled with an impressive beard

"It's been forever ed- em. I believe your kids enjoy my kid"

Their eyes travel to rose playing a sort of grudgby tag mix, ems eyes widen

"Dude she's like five! How?!!"

Positioning my fingers just right in my mouth I whistle in a bat like pitch, she instantly looks at me and within seconds she's flying to me in palisman form, and back in human form in my arms.

"Si mami?"

Em then nods as if saying 'say no more', setting her back down I whisper a small explanation in Spanish. Watching her run off to join her cousins I smile, my hand gripping my chest in happiness.
