Chapter One: The Beginning

There will a pic of what each character looks like in the next chapter.
*awkwardly stares*
Anyway, on with the story!
Also, I think the song that best describes Mitch in this chapter is Heart Attack by Demi Lovato. :3

~Mitch's POV~

Me and Betty rode farther and farther away from the Kingdom, going to our usual hunting spot. My bow was strapped tightly around my chest, the quiver right beside it. The wind blew threw my hair, yet somehow my red hood stayed on top of my head. I loved these rides. It gives me a chance to get away from my so called 'fiance' Prince Sky. At first glance, he seems nice. But underneath he is as venomous as a cobra. His adviser, Count Ian, was equally venomous. But, no one but me could see it.

I sighed in content as I entered the familiar forest. We rode for a few more minutes inside the calm forest before I saw three figures on the side of the rode. One was a tall male, with blonde hair and striking blue eyes. He had on a black and grey tunic, black pants, dark brown boots, and a blood red scarf. One was a smaller man with dark brown hair and light brown eyes. He wore a white long sleeve under an orange tunic, light brown pants, and black boots. Around his waist was a long sword. The last person, was a short man with light brown hair that covered one of his maroon colored eyes. He wore a light grey shirt under an almost neon green tunic, black pants, and black boots.

The one with the maroon eyes started waving when he saw me. I knew better than to stop, but what harm would they want upon me? It seems I would learn that very quickly. I stopped Betty right in front of them and smiled a fake smile, the only smile I can smile nowadays.

"Excuse me sir, do you happen to know where the nearest village is? You see, we're just circus men. And we lost our group." The maroon eyed man said. I stare at him for a moment before sighing.

"There isn't a village for miles around. The nearest one is a half day trip." I stated blandly. The smile on the maroon eyed man's face grew bigger.

"Then no one will be able to hear you scream."

Before I was able to react, the blonde had strode up to my horse and used his hand to find the pressure point on my neck and squeezed, knocking me unconscious.

~Ty's POV~

After Lachlan took the Prince of his horse, I grabbed a cloak I had stolen from a Guilder guard and began to rip off the insignia.

"What is that you are doing?" I heard Preston ask me from our ship.

"It's the insignia of Guilder." I replied. "I'm going to put it on the Prince's horse so that when the beast returns to the castle, Prince Sky shall see the insignia and think Guilder has taken his fiance. When he finds him dead on the streets of Guilder, he'll most likely start a war with them."

I finished putting the symbol on and smacked the horse to get it running.

"But why do we want to start a war? I don't think killing him is the best way to start a war. And hwy should we start a war anyway?" Lachlan asked. I swear, if he asks another question I'm gonna throw him in the water.

"You think? YOU THINK? I DID NOT HIRE YOU TO THINK! I HIRED YOU FOR YOUR SWORDSMANSHIP! WHEN I FOUND YOU, YOU WERE DRUNK AS YOU COULD BE! AND YOU!" I turn to Lachlan. "DO YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO YOUR OLD LIFE? UNEMPLOYED? IN AUSTRALIA?"

Done with my rant, I walked to the front of our boat and began to set sail.

~Preston's POV~

I stood there a little shocked by what happened. But, I kept on a straight face and walked over to where Lachlan stood. He was just staring at Ty as he worked.

"You know, you are very smart." Lachlan said without breaking his gaze away from Ty.

"Thank you, I guess. And same goes for you Lachlan. Anyway, why do we put up with him? I'm pretty sure we could survive together on our own." I stated, looking out over the water.

Lachlan shrugged and began prepping the sail on our ship.

"I don't know mate. But anyway, you should get up to the stern. Ty wants to leave soon."

I nodded and walked up to the stern. I sat at the oar and prepared for us to start moving. Lachlan pulled on the ropes for the sail just as the wind fired up. I grabbed the oar and began to steer us out of the pier.

~Time Skip To Later~
~Mitch's POV~

"What is that?"

I looked up from my hands and stared at the man now named Preston. He stood up at the stern, gazing at the ocean behind him.

"What is what?" Ty asked from his seat at the front.

"It's a ship. And it looks like it's following us."

At this, Ty and Lachlan sprung up from their seats, and rushed towards the stern. While they were distracted, I took my chance. I got up from the floor and quietly made my way to the side of the boat closest to the shore. I took one last glance to make sure they weren't looking and jumped into the frigid water. They must have heard me jump, because once I resurfaced, they were there yelling at each other.

I began to swim away, until I heard a petrifying screech. I stopped swimming and frantically looked around for whatever made that noise.

"Hear that highness?" I heard Ty state from the boat. "Those are the shrieking eels. They always shriek before they attack."

I hear another shriek come from my right and quickly turned to come face to face with an eel. Who was coming straight towards me.

But before it could get me, a fist hits it on the head and another grabs me and pulls me out of the water.

"Tie his hands! You know what, let me do it!" I heard Ty yell at Lachlan. Ty came up in front of my face and began to tie my wrists together. Once he was done, he looked me straight in my eyes and spoke.

"You think you're so brave don't you." He said with a sneer. I kept a straight face on the outside. But on the inside, I was glaring at Ty full force.

"Only compared to some." I answered coldly.

Ty glared at me, before getting up and sitting back down in his seat. I stared down at my hands again and thought to myself. Prince Sky will come and save me. I just know it.

~3rd Person POV~

Little did Mitch know that instead of Prince Sky coming to his rescue, an familiar face would soon come into the picture. Someone Mitch knew long ago. The man that took his heart.
