Star Pov
I could still feel the day Marco went into his rut. The day I knew that it might be the last time we're going to be alone. Marcos rut lasted a week even though Angie has told me it would be a few days. After trying many times he was spent and tired. I was tired and even a bit weak. My body wasn't made for this so I understood. I just wanted to know how his mother endured all of it?
I moved away from my thoughts as I finished cooking Marco some dinner. It's been 4 weeks since the rut and honestly it felt like ages ago. I felt no different nor I bared the signs of pregnancy.

"Star..you Okay princess?" I felt Marco wrap his strong arms around my waist as I nodded "What if I'm not pregnant Marco?" He nods as he smiles softly "Then we can try again on my next rut. It's okay if we don't have a pup now. Besides I feel like your first time during my rut had you tired and I deeply apologize about that." I smiled and kissed him

"Its okay. I just thought maybe if I do end having a pup it would be an experience." We giggled as he kisses my nose "You are one silly princess. Though I love you dearly." I blushed "I love you so much." He smiled "Me too star." After dinner we went to bed and Marco fell asleep quickly while he held me close as I was still wide awake. I couldn't sleep because all I was thinking was about the pup that I might or might not be carrying. It kinda hurt me that I wasn't showing any signs and what was even more worse was I couldn't provide an heir to the Diaz clan. I moved away from Marco as I sat up annoyed. Marco shuffled a bit as he sat up caressing my back.

"Star.. what's wrong?" He asked groggy as I looked away. I didn't want him to see me like this. "I'm fine Marco..just go to sleep" he leaned closer towards me as his eyes were on mine. "You're not fine. I can sense it and I can't go to bed when my mate is upset. So you tell me what's wrong or we sit here all night until you fall asleep." I shake my head

"I don't think I'm pregnant Marco." He sighs "Is that what's bothering you?" I nodded as I held my arms closer "Yes! It's bothering me because I can't even get pregnant..I'm not like you guys that are easy to have." I started to cry as he cupped my face kissing the tears away "Hey, star relax okay. We have plenty of time to have a pup and it's okay that my first rut with my mate didn't work. It might have been me not giving my all. It might not be you at all. Also I'm pretty new to mating with someone else instead of...something else.."

he blushes as I smirked "So it's okay if I'm not pregnant?" He nods "Of course princess. Now stop worrying okay and next time will be better okay." I nodded as he kisses me deeply and long before he held my face "Feel better?" I nodded as we lay back down on the bed as I flushed closer to him as he held tight. "Love you my sweet Jasmine~" I smiled and moved closer as he chuckles "Me to.." I muffled as he chuckles. "Night Star." "Night Marco"

The next morning i woke up to an empty bed. Marco was probably out with his cousins. I yawned as I looked at myself at the mirror. I lifted my night gown as I touched my stomach. I wonder if I'm the type of person who doesn't bare the signs of pregnancy. I sigh as I get dressed up and head over to Marcos parents house. Maybe talking with Angie she could calm my nerves about this. As I walked over branches and stones I felt light headed. I stop and take a deep breath as I gained my composer.

"That was odd?" I shake the weird feeling as I make it to the small cottage. As I entered Angie was dusting the frames and furniture. "Good morning Angie." She looks back and smiles brightly "Hello princess Star." She nods her head and I shake my hands "No need. No need." She giggles "Sorry it's a habit. How you been? Did everything go smoothly?" I blushed and nodded "Yeah. I'm actually pretty sore and out of it. Also can I ask you something?" She nods as I take a seat. "How did you know you were pregnant?" She smiles fondly as she takes my hand. "Your scent changes. Your mate will know something is up and when they do then you know." I tilt my head a bit but, a bit confused at that. "What do you mean my scent changes?" She smirks "When your mate marks you it's has a type of scent. To my husband I smell like cinnamon buns. To others I smell like cherries. When you mate and get pregnant your scent is a bit weird or different. What scent does Marco always smell from You?" I blush a bit "Jasmines.." she smiled as she leaned close scaring me a bit "You smell like vanilla to me." Oh I think I get it. "So if Marco smells something that's not Jasmine then that means.." she nods "You are correct. Also it's alright if you don't get pregnant on your first time. There is always next time." She held my face as I smiled softly. Am I making it super obvious that I'm worried? "Thanks Angie." She giggles as she goes back to cleaning as I decided to help out.

After a few hours I decided to go back home. Marco was probably home waiting for me to show. As I walked i heard branches breaking as I looked around. It was either another animal or a wolf. I stopped as I waited. "Come out. I ain't afraid of you." I said as I waited as the footsteps came closer. I turned around to see Jackie again. It's been awhile since I've seen her. "You're probably used to us by now." I smirked as I looked at her. Her hair seemed longer and looked to have more scars. "More or less. What are you doing lurking around?" She shrugs "Just wandering. Bored out of my mind. How about You? Surprised you're not under Marcos arm." I shook my head "Nah. He likes to explore I don't want to close that off for him. Also how you been Jackie?" She shrugs "I'm doing okay. I'm trying to find a mate but it's pretty hard. Every one in the village are having pups and I'm just the only few who doesn't have a mate." She crosses her arms as I sigh "I'm trying...well me and Marco are trying to have a pup." Her eyes go wide as she steps closer "What?!" I nodded "Yeah. But I don't think I'm pregnant though so I'll be one of those few that doesn't have a pup." She scoffs "At least you have a mate! I have no one!" I sigh "Maybe find a human? Maybe you'll feel better with one?" She scoffs as she looks around. "I'll see what I can do. Anyway I better be heading out." I nod as she turned on her heel and disappeared. I sigh as I walked home.

As I arrived I'm embraced by my loving mate as he kisses down my neck. "Star! I missed you." I giggled as I turn to be close to his face. He was always warm whenever we were this close. "Me too. How are you?" I asked as I looked up at him as he held a smile on his cute face. "It was good. Where were you? I felt a weird feeling earlier that it made me lose focus? Are you feeling alright?" Oh right he feels what I feel. "Um, I felt light headed earlier for a bit but I'm good. I might be getting sick." He felt my head as I breathed softly. "Well if you are then I'll take care of you princess." I blushed as I felt that pain again as I fell into his arms. "Star!" I hissed as I saw everything blurry. "Star?!" He sounded so far away. After that I blacked out.

I came to the next day as I looked around. I was in our bedroom as I see Marco sleeping in the chair as I  scanned the room. I felt heavy and weird. "M-Marco?" As I tried to get up I looked down and noticed my stomach a bit bigger? "Hey, how you feeling?" I pointed towards my stomach as he chuckles. He reaches for it and held it there. "You're not sick star. You're pregnant." I gasp as I started to tear up. "For real?" He smiles and nods. "Yeah. For real. We're going to be parents." I started to cry as I hugged Marco as he held closer. "I can't believe this. Are you for real?!" He chuckles and nods. "Yes princess. I can't wait to hold our pup and see who he or she looks like." Marco kept his hand on my chubby belly as I smirked. "How long do preganacy last for wolves?" He looks around as he thinks and smirks. "Well for wolves, it's 63 days which is 2 months and a few days. Since you are human you will have the baby normally. The standard 9 months like my mother did." What? That's like super quick. Just 2 months and pop out a pup? Well at least I have a long way to go. "Wow. So if I was a wolf I would have the pup in the 63 day period?" He nods "Exactly. But don't worry I'll protect you from harm. I don't want anyone hurting you or the baby." He pulled me closer towards his chest as I held my stomach. "promise?" I asked as he nods as he nuzzles closer "I promise you Star. And on our unborn child." He kissed my head as I smiled. I really hope these months go by easy and smooth.
