Star Pov
I stood there receiving my punishments from my parents as my thoughts ran towards Marco. I’ve never been so hot and bothered about a guy before. He was different from guys I’ve seen or heard of.

“Star! Are you listening?! You're not allowed to go in those woods again! What if you come out worse then you are now?! We don’t want to lose you darling.” mother said as she held my face and looked at my neck and ran her gloved fingers over my cut.

“Go wash up” I nodded and made my way towards my bedroom and took a bath, as I stood bare in the master bath I looked at my body and saw small bruises from Marco.

My waist had a few and in a odd shapes. I blush at the thought that I almost let it out of hand. I shouldn’t be acting or doing this because I’m a princess and I need to find a royal, not a random person who I’m starting to fall for.

As I walked out the bathroom I placed my teal robe over my body and lay on my bed running my fingers over my lip. I could almost still feel his lips on mine and his hands holding me closer, the way he groaned and pant when I pulled his hair. God what has become of me? Now I’m not allowed to see him.. yet I’m not the type of princess to listen. I smiled as I looked at the bracelet, it was precious and that I'll cherish it for always.

It was harder than I thought when I tried to escape, my guards were one step ahead of me and knew what I was up to. It has been weeks and I couldn’t be with Marco, at this rate he will forget about me and move on. It wasn’t fair! I wanted to see Marco and these idiots are keeping me away from him, I shared my first kiss with him. I wonder what else I could share. I sat on my balcony that faced towards the woods. It mocked me, seeing everyone else going into the woods but I couldn’t even go anymore. My bruises were starting to disappear and I whimpered at thought of never receiving them again. “Marco.” I whispered as I looked out towards the woods

“Bed, princess star” I scoff as Adrian opened my door “In a few” I managed to say before he left my room. I looked below and saw the guards move more into the gardens and I smirked. I dressed up as casual as can be and wore my cloak, I’m going to see Marco if it’s the last thing I do. I put my pillows in my bed to pretend I’m asleep and blew out the candles as I escaped from the balcony and ran between the bushes and hedges to get to the woods.

I made it and hid behind a tree breathing heavily as I look around. My Marco must be out somewhere? I grabbed a thick branch just in case it’s not Marco. I walk deeper and I hear growling and I freeze because Marco usually howls when I’m near. I held the branch as I waited for the beast, I saw eyes glowing as it approached closer. My heart was racing as it manages to back me up to a tree. I closed my eyes as I heard a scoff and I opened my eyes to meet with a girl.

She looked at me long and hard and even pulled my arms, legs, hair and my face. “What does he see in you?” She spoke as I was confused “Who?” She glared at me and her eyes changed to a boiling red. Can Marcos do that?

“Marco!” She growled and walked around me. “You're covered in his scent, I’m surprised he hasn't marked you.” I blushed because I have no idea how she knows me or Marco “Who are you?”

“Doesn’t matter, what matters is that you don’t belong with him! He deserves to be with his own kind not some fragile human!” her teeth were sharp and her nails were out ready to strike. Who was this girl? Why was she so upset with me? “I met him weeks ago! He scared me but..” I fell for him “Let me guess, he melted your heart and now you're in love with him? Disgusting!” I glared at her as she laughs to herself “How could say that? His mother is a human!”

Seems like this struck a nerve towards her. She moved closer as she barred her sharp teeth at me. “You have no right to talk about the leaders wife! Ever! She’s a jewel to us all!” I was really confused about this because I never knew there was more werewolves running around in the woods. I only thought it was Marco and his parents. I never knew their were others.

“Sorry.” I said but she just scoffed and shook her head. “Your not even caught up with our culture, Marco really knows how to pick them.” I grew angry and shoved her causing her to trip over a stump and get dirty. I think that was a wrong move. “You're going to pay for that!” her eyes turned red and her teeth came out in daggers. I ran for it as I hoped to find Marco or anyone that wasn’t that girl! “Stop running!” I could hear her and I ran until I bumped into someone who wrapped an arm around my waist.

I started crying because I knew it was Marco, he always wrapped his arms protectively around me “Star? What’s wrong?” He saw the tears and then his eyes flashed red instead of the gold I usually see. So he can turn his eyes red as well. “What a baby! Running into the leaders sons arms!” The girl glared at me and Marco pulled me close “Why are you tormenting her?” He said deep and sternly as she looked at him and me and back towards him once more.

“She shoved me! That good for nothing 'princess' pushed me cause I made her mad!” that was true but what she said hurt my feelings. “Are you jealous? Is that why you are acting this way?” Marco asked as she blushed and lowered her head “What does she have that I don’t Marco?” He caressed my cheeks and smiled.
“A heart of gold” the girl gasped “What would your father say?” “he will support me, my mother is just like her and I rather be with a human then a wolf who only cares for their own needs.” The girl had tears in her eyes and looked at me coldly. 

“This isn’t over.” She took off and I wrapped myself in Marcos warmth. “What are you doing here Star? It’s late and you just met someone I used to like.” I moved away and looked at him “You liked her?” “Its in the past, she hurt me when she found someone else.” What a witch. Marco is so caring and nice that anyone would be lucky to have him “You have me~” I said holding his face. seems he has a beard coming in and it’s going to look well. “I’ve missed you.” he says as we walk towards the pond. As we absentmindly held hands. I liked this feeling whenever I'm with him.

“I’ve been kept away from the woods. I could only escape at night but I think it’s a dumb idea since I almost got ripped to shreds. Literally.” he chuckles and pulls me under his arms kissing the top of my forehead. “Kind of is but I’m glad I get to see you.” as we sat down I remembered his dad is the leader so it kind of means he’s a Prince right?

“Marco are you like the Prince of your group?” He chuckles “Yeah, my father has been the leader since his father passed it down, but I don’t really see myself as a royal” I giggled “That girl from before, she asked me if you marked me and something else” he blushed and looked at the water. “Star, in my family when we mark someone it means we found a mate. It’s basically like a marriage thing. I didn’t Mark you because you're a princess of the human world and I'm Prince of the werewolves, we're different.”

I held his hand “How are we? If I’m honest, I rather spend my life with you instead of that lonely castle that brings nothing but boredom” he smiles “I want to make you my mate Star.” he said as his eyes were golden again “Then do it.” he sighs as he kissed me “I will mark you only if you really want to live beside me for the rest of your life. No going back to the human world. Understood?” I blush and looked at him thinking about it. “Give me a day.” he smirks “Okay” I pulled him closer and we kissed under the moonlight and stars. Was I really going to give my royal life to be with Marco? Possibly. I woke up somewhere foreign and I had a arm wrapped tightly around me.

I look behind and see Marco sleeping peacefully and I smiled and I remembered if I’m giving my old life for a new one. I wasn’t really happy in my old life, I listened and did everything my parents told me but I never found myself happy doing any of it. “Morning~” I said as I kissed his lips.

“Star” he buried his head in my neck and nuzzled me close “Marco, come with me so I can tell my parents” Marco nods and I smile as I get up and realized I’m just in my underwear, Marco was as well but he’s been doing that his life. “Come on” he groans as he rolls on the bed and reached for me. I giggled as he managed to grab my waist and pull me between his legs. I sit on his lap and look at him “Are you sure you want to do this? We could always wait a little longer?” I sigh

“If we wait I'll be married to some random guy I don’t love” I held his face now seeing his features so clear and close “Wow” I say as he says the same “Wow” I laughed “Your eyes are so light, their beautiful” he smiles “Yours are gorgeous, it’s like diving into the deep blue ocean” I blushed at the comment. “When we're mated, does that mean we have to procreate?” He shakes his head “Not immediately, we're pretty young so I believe we have time to wait to have a family you know.” I laughed “Duh, of course” he chuckles and kisses me softly “Ready for this?” He nods

“Of course” we got dressed and towards the kingdom to my castle and went through the back without getting noticed and stepped into the throne room “Star? What are you doing? Who is this?” Marco looked around in awe and was taking his surroundings. So adorable.
“I don’t want to rule the kingdom, I want to get out of here and be with him” I pulled Marco closer as he smiled “I was in the woods all the time because I was meeting him, he is kind and trustworthy and generous, he makes me happy” I smiled as I hugged him

“I never did anything right because I wasn’t the model princess you asked for, I’m a girl who likes to explore and have fun. I learned that if you want to be happy then do it. Don’t stop and pretend your not happy. Mother, father I love you both but I can’t live like this" they stared at me and Marco and sigh “I'll let you go, but if either your father or I fall ill you must return and take over, even with Marco.” I smiled and ran towards them and hugged them “Thank you” they held tight “Take care of yourself.” “I will. I promise.” I wiped my face and walked back towards Marco “You ready for it?” I nodded “I’m ready”
