To Wiltiabry

We stumbled across the wall after three days of walking. Our feet were sore, our legs like putty. Our canteens dry, our jerky gone. We were so hungry. So very hungry. Or at least I was. I cannot speak for Royce, but his stomach seems to feel the same as mine.

"Welcome to Wiltiabry! Kingdom of misfits and magic. Who are you?"

"I am Daph, this is Ro. We have come here from Lyandrio. The place we are no longer accepted."

"What did you do, if you don't mind us asking?"

"I kissed a girl. He was found with a man."

"My, my. Well, come on in! All are welcome!"

We gratefully walked in and immediately looked out for cuties. There were none in plain sight, but maybe it was too early for them? We were brought into a palace where we were fed, bathed, and clothed. Their rulers greeted us fairly and showed us to our quarters, allowing us to room together.

"I didn't see anybody who sparked my interest. Did you?"

"I saw a cute elven woman, but she was being pretty rude to that man."

"I saw her too. Man, people can be rude."

"Very. But what are we supposed to do? We can't exactly run away at this point."

"Why don't we just ask to leave?"

"Like they'll let us?"

Royce gave me a look, and I let out a frustrated grunt. I nodded and followed him out the door, hopefully, they'll let us leave.

"Do you mind if we try to find somewhere else to stay. We thank you for your hospitality and all, but we don't think this is the place for us."

"If you really feel that way, you may. But please take some food with you. We don't want you to starve."

"Thank you."

"And make sure to stay here for a few days while you rest for your trip. Find a new kingdom around that you may like to check out. May I suggest Justinopia?"

"Sounds excellent. We will be making preparations tomorrow evening and leave two nights from then."

"Sounds wonderful. Please enjoy your stay."

I didn't think it would go so well, but it did! Royce and I spent the rest of the night calculating how much time it would take us to get there and how much food we would need. It was a very rough estimate, and we knew it would probably be wrong. We were never good at mathematics during our schooling.

Anyway, we continued our search for the pretty ladies and gentlemen, not finding anyone that suits our deepest desires. They all seemed like pretty nasty people. Insulting each other. For a place full of misfits, there is sure a lot of hate flying around the air. The tensions only rose at night. Plates were being broken left and right, and the pubs were being raided every few hours or so. It was completely awful.

I can't wait for this to finally end for good.
